  No default in Weblogic LDAP there is no such functionality available to expire the password automatically. You will need to write your custom authenticator.

  Two suggestions I have:

  Q2) you can't. There is no need to define a grace period if you are unable to alert the user at the beginning of the grace period.

  What you can do is to set no grace period, but schedule a task that sends an e-mail message to users with expiration date soon.
