• ESXi 4.1 - Question about the memory usage

  Hi all

  I am currently in the process of migrating from ESX 3.5 and ESXi 4.1.0 everything by making the upgrade of my equipment (3 x HP DL380 G7, 24GO RAM, CPU Intel X 5660 2 each).

  The boxes are installed with ESXi 4.1.0 Build 384481 and hpq - esxi4.1uX - bundle-1. 0a, hardware monitoring is done using HP SIM (V6, Windows).

  What bothers me, however, is that the VSphere Client (4.1.0 Build 345043) reports steadlily increases the memory usage in the Summary tab. The increase varies according to the system, ranging from 98MB in 1848 MB in the last 3 days, continues to grow.

  During this time the performance tab reports consumed memory exceeds granted memory.

  Everyone saw this behavior, too? Is this normal or am I facing a memory leak here?

  the reason to ask to the image is to understand tips on different time and or prabably model.

  officers of 3rd party as HP may be one of the reasons for these behaviours and this pumps memory when they perceive newspapers. I think it's side normal use would normally not go beyong 2000 MB for an esxi normal opertaing without no VM

  I suggest you to watch more than two days and see if it grows even more...

  Leak memory with Explorer.exe in the folder of videos with thumbnails enabled. Using the resource monitor, I can see that explorer.exe is playback of video files, while the memory gradually increases until it is 99%. No such problem with memory leak when I put the provision 'list' (i.e. without thumbnails). Disabling thumbnails also eliminates the problem of memory leak, but this isn't what I want.  Main videos folder is. MKV files, with the codec video within the container MKV h.264 high profile. I tried to dissociate all media files with Media Player Classic Home Cinema (which I use to watch mkv videos).

  More important, this problem seems only appeared after I installed SP1.

  Win7 x 64 Ultimate SP1, C2D E8500 8 GB of RAM, Western Digital 2 to Green Caviar.

  More info: I realized that this only happens with the video files that don't have any generated tile. It's like Windows Explorer is reading through the entire video file to generate a thumbnail, but even after awhile that yet, it does not generate a thumbnail.

  How to fix? Help! Thank you!

  I am facing a recent issue when I built a data page spry with Dreamweaver cs3 and when you test the page using IE7 displays the data and after that I'm not doing something else opens the Manager of Windows taskbar and found shocking that the tab for iexplore.exe guard incrementing memory usage and as soon as I navigate to another page in the Web site or return to the previous state of the history by clicking aft IE7 button, it stops incrementing and shows a number of static Ko. It is not increment more.
  
  Please help me, I enclose the coding as below. I kept this code in my project directory web tomcat because it is only used by a Web server running and gives an error if security policy test it offline on the local computer.

  I use a Framegrabber DLL to read an analog video stream. When the VI runs about 6 hours LabVIEW displays an error message "memory is full".

  When the VI works and I look at the memory usage in the Task Manager, I see that memory is increasing constantly.

  I guess the bug is inside the while loop, but I can't fix it.

  My conclusions are:-

  -If you run an application and let idle, use memory slips gradually upward (probably in memory is used to perform the Calc/refresh the display, etc.)

  -Periodic garbage collection occurs and memory is brought back down

  -This cycle could be more than 5 min.

  Work with your real application and memory will increase and be published much more quickly/regularly.

  -It's probably worth making an initial check running on your desktop computer to smooth out all the initial problems

  The next thing happen very often:

  I can't rename a file or folder. It is not the permissions. It's allways explorer.exe locks the file. Logging and turn it on again solve the problem most of the time, so I can remove/rename the file Explorer. In cases where this does not work I opening of session and closing session again, open a cmd.exe shell and remove the file without problem.

  The types of files are .wma, .wmv, .mp3, .avi .jpg etc. all types of typical media files + a few others.

  If the source of the problem is continuation of behavior:
  Vista explorer.exe opens the file for read the news there, like extif of information in files .jpg, like mp3-ID3-tag, etc etc.

• QNetworkAccessManager limiting the memory usage when no head

  I have a long application works without head that downloads files from 6 MB upwards on a web server. Now using QNetworkAccessManager to view the file, I see the memory usage, pull up and soon to exceed the limit of 3 MB.
