exponent of AutoCorrect

Hey all, its been a long time since I've used mac and return to it after Microsoft for many years, I have a lot of questions but it is one that would allow me to save time and the other I can't understand.

I want to use AutoCorrect to put in "Fe2 +' when I type"fe2 ".

I (finally) found the AutoCorrect option in system prefrences, but I can't understand how to add the superscrypt to the correction.

I know that I can type and use the keys, but believe me, it's not the only one and some are much more troublesome with multiples and superscrypt layers

Thanks in advance

I'm happy to go digging into the system files and the registry, just point me in the right direction

Two things that work hand in hand are the Edit menu: Emoji menu item & symbols (just a cryptic name for the character Panel) and system preferences: keyboard: text panel (replacement). In the character Panel, you can type the word Exhibitor in the search engine, and all Unicode characters that are returned are exhibitors (e.g. +, -, (,), 1... n).

The thing with the replacement text is to use a 2 or more replace character sequence which can perform the substitution of characters with to meet your needs in explaining, without interference of regular hits. Sometimes I always use 2 ^ to represent an exhibitor at 2.

  1. In System Preferences: keyboard Panel: text tab, click the symbol and in the column replace, enter fe2 +.
  2. Tab in the column with. Type Fe.
  3. The research of Panel of character on the exponent of Word.
    1. Double-click the 2 and the + Exhibitor characters that appear in the central panel in Unicode. It will be directly inserted in the field replace it immediately after the Fe, to give the desired Fe2 +.
    2. Press return to set the replacement value.
  4. In the Pages, select the Edit menu: Substitutions: menu text replacement element.

You also have Pages: Format menu: fonts: Baseline: Exhibitor (control-command-sign) and index (control-command-sign) keyboard at your disposal of the sequences.

  • iPad IOS 10 - AutoCorrect keyboard does not turn off?

I don't know if it is a problem of IOS 10 or if it is a question of the iPad. One of the first things I do when I get a new device is turn off easily. I hate to correct automatically, but it seems not turning off itself. I was typing a message to a friend of mine and to instead keep the word I typed (Pervy) it replaces (Percy).

I just upgraded to IOS 10 and checked to see if the AutoCorrect has been disabled or if she has it on again. Even with typing this message, it keeps replacing words on me with words that I don't type and are not what they should be. It is not a question of spelling either, so I don't know what to do to fix, but it's very annoying.

Hello. You may also need to disable predictive. If you are using a physical keyboard, there are different settings for it. They appear only when it is connected.

It is a nightmare for dyslexics, we want to underscore red (as in this box here) to inform that we'll type wrongly, but we don't want EVER a word randomly mortise in where we can see it happened. Good spelling, AutoCorrect absolute nightmare with emails going to full of gibberish characters.

Why have silly programmers at Apple set up like that? If my boss fiddled with my work to make me look like an idiot I could him sacked by HR. But coders numpty at Apple think it's ok to bully customers who bought faithfully their expensive products for decades with completely bad and cruel decisions that cannot be changed.

Can they? Please tell me that there is a work around. Please?

And while I'm here - can do us to stop this site suddenly add text as I type to the top line as I type. That is just put cruelty on top of everything else.

  • AutoCorrect and highlight the option enabled and grayed out in Windows 10

Everytime I type something in my language, I get my words highlighted in red and it is really annoying. I went looking for options to turn it off, the only thing I found was this setting in the screenshot that is grayed out, activated, and I can not turn off but it is grayed out.

There is a link that says "go to your PC settings" and it goes to a tutorial that shows how to turn off the AutoCorrect and spell checking. However, this is for Windows 8.1 and these measures do not result in Windows 10. I tried searching for him everywhere and he just does not exist in Windows 10.

Someone knows how to turn off this annoying thing?

You must display this feature in Windows 10.

When entering text on my iPad (for example, post on the forums) there are automatic fix strange 'characteristics '. It corrects English in my mother tongue, although I've now added English as second and French as a third language.

    An example:

"The 6SN7 is one interesting tubes too. Good and beautiful tones. " it becomes "the aan interesting tube 6SJ7's too. God and Nice tones. »

Allows to leave God out of this please. Replaced words became Dutch. It also replaces 'a' to 'to', in French.

-> A good help function on the iPad would be nice also. Settings does not have such support.

  • How do I disable AutoCorrect

Since the last major update, all of a sudden I AutoCorrect on.  It drives me nuts, evolution of the addresses at will!  Anyone know how I can disable this option for all iOS apps?  Thanks, Tamara

  • How can I enable AutoCorrect?

I went to settings, keyboard, AutoCorrect. The button is green. I slide it more, to reset iPad and he turned his back. AutoCorrect turned green but nothing. Any suggestions?

I don't know what it means 'reset iPad' for you. If it's just a simple reboot of the device, try a reboot forced instead, and then check the setting of the new.

To force the reboot your device, press and hold the two buttons of sleep/wake and home for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

If this does not help, try to reset all settings. Settings > General > reset > reset all settings. No data is lost when you do this, but all the unit parameters must appear again, including the passwords of your WiFi network.
