  Hello

  I am currently evaluate a trial version of Adobe Captivate 8 and I am wanting to understand the complete options for translation.

  My tests until using the widget of matrix of circle with the export file XML/export project captions and subtitles seem to indicate that it is not possible to include any text, in a widget for export.

  Is this really the case?  If so, this is a big drawback for those who want to use Captivate to create content for an engaging multi-language support.

  Any help/advice available would be very useful, because it is one of our key requirements for our development of e-learning.

  I wasn't talking about text input from the user as for the circle matrix, but in some interactions game where now the layout can be completely customized. Sorry for this misunderstanding.

  With regard to the documentation on interactions: simply nothing at all. I have been featured on learning interactions on DevLearn last year (this year it was refused), have explanatory tables, etc.. No time to blog about them, my focus and time now goes to shared first actions that are almost as little documented that learning interactions. For interactions, I do only consulting, training, offering only not everything for free.

• FMv9 non-unique ID when you export to XML

  recently, I started using Framemaker V9 and learned that Framemaker complains IDs not being is not unique when exporting as XML (for translation). Basic problem seems to be the one to *.fm and *.mif just IDS are unique for each document, but for XML must be unique for the entire book.

  I'm very surprised that I cannot google at least a description of the problem. We are somehow misuse Framemaker and correct use would leave the disappearance of the problem or is it a bug fixed in a newer version of Framemaker?

  It is a long-standing problem that, to my knowledge, has not been addressed. I think you have to use some scripts to solve. I had a plugin available for quite awhile that can scan a book to "uniquify' ID, partially for this purpose. I'm not trying to sell you software on a user forum, but you can check it out, maybe it will give you some ideas.

• XML export for translation, excluding the Master slides

  I export a number of Captivate 6 projects in XML format. The XML files will be translated and then imported into Captivate.

  When I export a project XML file contains the text of the construction in master quiz slides. It seems that these master slides can't be deleted, but I don't want to pay for them to be translated because I do not use them in any of my projects.

  Is it possible to remove the built in master quiz slides, or to exclude them when I export an XML file?

• Extraire extract text from illustrator for translation, and then replace with translated text

  I am trying to find a way to speed up the translation of our designs.  Each drawing has a series of legends indicating what's this piece of the drawing by the text.  I would need to do hundreds of drawings for each book.

  Issues related to the:

  1. can I write something to a batch file and extract the file name and the text of each textbox so that when I get back translation, I can automate the reintegration of the text translated to its appropriate field (i.e. TextField1 = 'Translate' and then fill in the exact field even with 'Translation')?  For that, I think that each text field should be marked with a unique identifier so that it know what translation goes where in the drawing.  Don't forget, I'm ok with marking manually each textbox if necessary.

  2. assuming that the above is possible, what would be the best program to write the extracted text so that reading and writing the text translated again in the drawing is as easy as possible (Word, Excel, PDF)?

  Scripting is not necessary, but it could be used, let's say has a decorative 100 pices of text all in English, you select one at a time and make dynamic (variable1, variable2... do variable100). Once you have all your variables, you capture a data set, this set of data (an xml file, like BilingualText.xml), then likely the xml to include your translated text and import export Illustrator. Now, you will be abel to switch between English and the translation.

  or if you don't need to switch between languages, simply export the file something like English.xml, then have it translated and saved as Spanish.xml for example and load the file each time its needed.

  The file output and its formatting is defined/created in the Export Action of each adapter FDM script. You can modify this script to print the file exported in any format you want. However, I don't see why you want to do for the entire target specific adapters supplied with FDM, well if we talk about changing the default output of the adapter then PULL, this would be where you would bring changes. There is no magic switch that automatically does for you :-)

• Why is my data form not export to XML

  I have a form that I built for some time.  At one point, I was able to export my form data to xml format.  I did a lot of work since yesterday and today when I export to xml format, I have a few lines as shown below.

  With an earlier version of Flash Player (less than 10), it is not really possible. I mean, it is not possible using only Flash/Flex. You would send the structure of a script server which would create the file-side XML with the structure passed, he would send the URL of this file in your app where you can then display a button or something that once clicked will download the XML file generated by your script server-side (usually, after the download, also remove you this file).

  I have a table db with a few thousand records in it. I need to generate an xml file for each record so that it can power a search machine.

  After reading dozens of forum, I not yet found the answer.

  I made a photo album with full-colur and b & w photos for Offset print. I want to be for the b & w grayscale avoid the hues of colors possible. It seems that InDesign does not support the shades of gray, how images become dark. Even with export without any conversion of color or the destination and/or including profiles of original colors, the images are exported to obscurity as a PDF to grayscale.

  This can become difficult because 3 programs manage proofing differently.

  Work spaces don't matter, document profiles that handle the preview. So here's the same image in grayscale, placed in the ID on the top and PS on the bottom. I put my info in Photoshop to display the profile of doc in the lower left corner. I can see the profile of my InDesign CMYK Document in my test format (CMYK work is different and is not used). The two profiles are actually the same coated FOGRA39 (Black Ink FOGRA in the case of the PS).

  But the previews do not match because I disabled, so the preview InDesign is Gamma 2.2 or a "screen" media preview overprinting.

• B2B Gateway fails to generate data xml for 997

  I am faced with a particular problem with one of my test B2B case, where xml for 997 EDI X 12 file is not generated. The file EDI 997 is get picked up however it will fail to generate the request message. In the report so there will be no errors. When I click on the details link on the page of reports for the 997 message the message of application link is not active and does not redirect to the details of the application pop up message by clicking on it.
  
  Could someone of you please think why this problem occurs... It worked perfectly in my case of dev...

  Your real problem is configuration...

  You must go to the Configuration under Administration tab and section of the page, set "notify functional Inbound" accused of reception and the "receipt functional managed automatically ' to 'true '. Otherwise the message from the Application does not get generated for your 997 s entering.

  I invoke a Java webservice with signature and encryption (WSSE) of the soap message in my client program.
  The webservice is built with a JWSC ant task and deployed in weblogic 10.3.2 I get the below exception when calling it.
  I invoke a web service that takes a string as input and returns a string output. This web service uses the signature and encryption on both directions.
  I checked the public/private key certificates and everything seems to be ok.
  I don't know how to fix the sub question. Let me know if you have encountered this problem and it is solved.

  Demand has been framed properly, as my annotation TJS for my client was pointing to a fake name.

• Cannot export release build for AIR app...

  Flash Builder 4.7 won't let me export a release build for AIR applications to all the...

  All started when I wanted to make some changes to an old AIR application.  Could not even run in the debugger, so I updated the AIR SDK (using instructions available here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-builder/kb/overlay-air-sdk-flash-builder.html and here: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/how-overlay-air-sdk-flex-sdk.html )

  So after doing all this and a few other changes, I finally got my AIR application to run the debugger in Flash Builder 4.7.  The changes I wanted to make, and then tried to export Release Build...  Kept giving me an error "Incorrect password for this certificate" every time that I tried it - but she would never let me enter a password.  I went to the project. Release Build, export and on the first screen, I have to click on 'Next' and he jumped directly to the compilation, jumping on the screen where you are supposed to be able to enter the password and certificate information.

  Thought that maybe because it was an old AIR project, which was causing the problem.  So I started a new project AIR - one very simple with just a < s:Label > inside a < s:WindowedApplication >.  Project | Properties | Flash Builder package and created a brand new self-signed certificate (which seemed to work) but once again trying to export release build, he wouldn't let me get to the screen where you enter the password.  By clicking 'Next' in the first screen on project | Export Release Build jumps just directly to the compilation and (of course) it gives me the error of Incorrect password, because he never gave me a chance to enter the password.

  So what is happening here?  Why not export commercial versions for AIR projects?  It's extremely frustrating - Flash Builder 4.6 never gave me problems.  What can I do to fix the Flash Builder 4.7 so it does not work with AIR projects?

  Was having the same problem and totally by chance (with a mix of frustration) I went to move the window and accidentally resized it... and low and behold the rest of the content window popped up as if she had a label 'hidden' on this subject... a collueges had the same problem on a windows and mac machine and it was resolved in the same way... I hope this helps someone...
