  If you have no budget, you can open a connection directly from SQL Server to Oracle, or vice versa. In Oracle, they are called links DB; in SQL Server, they are called "linked servers".

  Datanamic also have tools that claim to do the cross-DB replication. I have no experience with them and is not an endorsement - I know they exist.

  If you use the IN operator:

  Select rowid_col

  || ',' || name_col

  || ',' || version_col

  || ',' || To_char (date_col, 'HH24:MI:SS of Mon-DD-YYYY') AS csv_text

  from your_table

  where rowid_col IN (& input_values);

  then & input_values can be a unique number (e.g. 1) or a list separated by commas (for example, 1,2,3) numbers.  Don't put NO space around the comma.

  You will need to have a Mac to build your application. As Bob mentions, in InDesign select Create App in the context menu of the Folio Builder Panel.

  You can design your content on a PC and then use the download command in the Folio Builder Panel to put it on our servers. Then, the Mac, you can save in the Panel with the same account and Create App from there.

  I think that with a db-link you can define an automated task (PL/SQL + programmer).
  We use a db-link to Oracle's RDBMS to MySQL. So we have no experience.

  Please refer to paragraph "Example of Script integration" on page 200 of the FDQM 11.1.2 administration guide.
  This example connects to a SQL Server table (you may have to tweak it a little so you can connect to Oracle table), but the example can give you a good impression of what is necessary to establish a direct link.
