  First of all, your use setSpace is incorrect. What you are doing here are to define a space around the bitmap image - in this case, the space is bigger than most of the screens, which will ensure that your bitmap image is not actually on the screen.   Second, you SHOULD check the return of getBitmapResource(). If it returns NULL, then the resource was not available. What you're doing here can hide a problem.
