Exported PDF printing problem

Hello

I prepare my students portfolio of architecture with InDesign to print with Lulu, a print on demand (lulu.com) online service.  After several series of test prints with pdf export different options, I'm stumped on some colors produced.  My CAD drawings many gray representative lines hatches or distant construction lines... These keep printing with a red gradient / purple / blue / green, despite several attempts to reconfigure my color management settings (both with 'none' and "convert to CMYK").  Most of these files is .ai files placed in InDesign... of course they appear correctly on my screen on the original file and the exported pdf file.  In addition, files print correctly on printers laserjet color at school, so I'm starting to think it may be a problem with Lulu.

Anyone know if this is something I am doing wrong, or if this is a common problem with Lulu print?

Thank you very much for the help!

CAD drawings have gray lines representing traps or construction lines away

Most likely, the build of the color of these traps are a percentage of CMY with little or no black. If this is the case, the construction of color should be just a percentage of black.

If you are using Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or 10.7 (Lion), Adobe PDF is replaced.

  • Compatibility with PDF printer problem?

I have a PDF document someone created with InDesign CS3 5.0.4.  It opens in Reader 9.1.3 and prints perfectly on some newer printers.  However on older printers at the bottom of the paper is cut in preview before printing and the actual print on paper.  Both printers are HP and I spent a few hours chatting with the Technical Support of HP tent of new drivers, etc.  Their conclusion was that it is caused by an older insoluble problem between the printer and the PDF.  They have, of course, said I would need to buy new printers even if they are not that old and works fine for everything else.

So far the matter has developed in the other three offices. There must be one better solution other than to throw money at it.

I have never used InDesign and wonder if there might be some settings used when creating PDF in InDesign or Acrobat that can solve the problem.  The form must be printed exactly as planned, so shrink to fit is not an option.

    Thank you.

Sound isn't like an ID number at all. Sounds like what she is... a printer problem.

  • Export PDF freezes InDesign CS5

I'm having a random freeze problem when you export a PDF file in InDesign. I export the file and it goes in background processing. I try to close the file and InDesign said that the background operation still works and that I can not close the file. I have check the background task window and the PDF is still of the distillation. I let it go for about 30 minutes and nothing happens. The footprint of the PDF file shows 0. InDesign won't let me stop the process in background window (or at least when I click on the 'x' nothing happens), and the only way I can get out is to force InDesign to quit smoking. When I re - open the file and try again, InDesign exports PDF without problem.

This happened with 2 different types of files in the last day. First time was a magazine page... 50 pages have been'd up queue to export files PDF and stops the whole process on a single page. After an hour or two, I had to leave the force and start over, and all exported without any problem. This most recent gel was a stand-alone file of relatively small ads. Both times there were no errors before the indicated flight.

Someone else has this problem and is there something I could do in addition to the strength to quit smoking?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Lo-res images appear in the exported PDF from Indesign files - anyone else having this problem?

I used Indesign for years without this problem...

But I noticed recently that many of these images (PSD, TIFF, or JPEG) that I placed in Indesign files are exported as pixelated, versions low resolution when I export for printing (PDF/X-1).

I tried different settings, but in each case, the image (which appears thin and sharp as seen in Indesign) came out like a pixelated mess blurred.

This seems to have started happening in the past months.

    Vector graphics are fine.

    Anyone else having this problem?

Or someone at - it a solution?

Also use some PDF parameters where resolution is not sous-echantillonnees at all.

    Turn off downsampling.

And I would like to test, when you export to PDF/X-4 would make to the resolution of the images.

Just to know, if something is fundamentally wrong with your PDF export feature perhaps.

  • InDesign, export to PDF (print) add white text?

    Hello

I work with a document in InDesign (latest version cc) and I'm trying to print to PDF for printing.  When I export as Adobe PDF (Print), the text comes out with a white highlight that isn't in the original file (see photo below).  This problem occurs only with the export to pdf option. print directly to PDF or export to jpg, it doesn't happen.  Can anyone shed light on what is happening here?

This is the text exported as PDF (in block letters):

    Export to PDF (Print).jpg

Same file printed directly in PDF format:

    Print to PDF.jpg

Yes, it seems that there are two layers. The back layer has a stroke and no fill. Open it in Illustrator:

  • Export document to PDF print with links to custom without increasing the "CreateResourceStream" on the resource of the custom links Manager.

PDF export print raises no reminder (CanCreateResourceStream, CreateResourceStream) on my manager of the custom resource (ILinkresourceHandler) this driver of images at low resolution on PDF by also all other export as interactive PDF, PNG, JPEG same impression are working properly. CustomDataLink sample also have the same problem.

Print PDF Export Export & IDML work on background medium thread only model plugin get reminders related to export PDF, but my set LinkResourceHandle implemented in user Plugin interface so I resolve my problem of implementation of the mobile LinkResourceHandler, new model plugin.if you want it to be in the user interface pligon only that put a name of empty text file "DisableAsyncExport" in the content folder inside the app on mac OS , this will disable the export PDF & IDML background.

  • Print from InDesign prints fine, but print after that exporting to PDF prints black as gray, low Image quality

    Hi all

I have a printing problem going on with a document that I am currently trying to print.  When you export to PDF (high quality print or press quality setting, as well as to any possible color output) and then print, black my document go to the gray and the images look washed out.  This does not happen if I print directly from InDesign on my printer.  I tried to change the merger of transparent space, change the color profiles document and corresponding to export options to the options used when you print directly from ID, all without success. the document is always printed wrong when exporting to PDF first.  Any ideas why this might happen when exporting or printing to PDF, but not when you print directly from ID?  Thanks in advance for any help!

I see.  Is there a way to ID artificially add CMY export in the same way as it does when sending to print?

Is the destination of the document a composite digital printer or an offset press? If it is composite set your black preference for export fills and convert to RGB on export:

In Acrobat, the two blacks will be 0. 0 | 0 RGB and will display the same

  • Unable to print to PDF - driver problems (?)

    Hello

I can't print to PDF from InDesign or incidentally one of my other programs not Adobe.

The fact of all the files in print by mistake in my PDF printer dialog box and nothing happens.

Just to clarify, export as an interactive PDF isn't the solution, what I'm looking for.

I am slot that Windows 7 with Acrobat 8 Pro is installed and Acrobat Reader X is installed.

When I try to click with the right button on the printable pdf file and go to "Adobe PDF Printing Preferences" and

Set the Adobe PDF/output folder to all that tempt me the name of the file, I can only select a port as LPT1 and nothing else.

Also, weird but maybe related, I can't even set the PDF security.

    Help would be delicious

The 64-bit system can be a problem. I don't remember all the answers related to capacity with AA8 and Win 7, 64. In all cases, you must be not less than AA 8.1. Be on the 64-bit versions of XP. I open AA8 and start the update process. If you are offered more than 1 update, perform these tasks in the order. I don't usually update this way and not that familiar with the screen that is offered. You may need to download the updates, in which case it must download the relevant updates and install them in the order. They are not cumulative. If download you them, you probably need to store updates that somewhere in case you need it in the future. You also don't have to reboot after the update, even though many of them will suggest a reboot. AA 8 is something like 8.3.2.

Updates may resolve the issue. Please report on your success with the 64-bit version of Win7. Helps us to help others.
