  I use the following syntax.

  Have you tried to remove "TO_FILE=C:\\Hyperion\\Planning\\bin\\Secfile.txt."
  You have really the part as it should write it the default bin directory.

• ExportSecurity.cmd does not

  Hi all

  I use ExportSecurity.cmd utility 11.1.2.3 version. It gives me the result under loaded Version of Essbase RTC:0xb1230. I don't see that the Secfile.txt is created.

  I call any batch file before calling this? It worked very well in 11.1.2.2

  I guess that you give the correct settings, as explained here, Oracle Hyperion Planning, Fusion edition Guide administrator

  Try to run it with /TO_FILE = switch and see if it generates the file or not.

  The only parameter that I know is "/ TO_FILE =" if she can just specify a new path to write the secFile.txt to, just give it a try.

• 400 MB LCM exported data form

  I exported all forms of planning for a new application, that we have created and what I've found, is that there are some forms which the xml export is HUGE, 400MB. Open, I found all Member combinations, which I expected to be only something evaluated during execution.

  Have you ever encountered this? Is this normal?

  The information is stored in the database of planning applications RDBMS, so in theory, it increases the size of the database, but it should not affect the performance.

  The decline in performance could be in times of extraction of the data from the form, but it might not be noticeable and only test that will show.

• Automate the OTL extractor and dimension of office using OutlineLoad.cmd

  We have a situation where the dimension in a cube must be in harmony with 4 other cubes. These provide applications and we do not use nor HAL or ODI.
  
  Checks to see if its possible to automate the extraction of the essbase outline dimension (even if they expect apps, they have only a cube inside these apps) using the extractor OTL and load the same in different planning using Outlineload.cmd applications.
  
  If not, please advice how could automate this process without HAL or ODI.

  Outline Extractor is driven from the command line.
  Contour charger is driven from the command line.
  Updating cube is the engine command line.

  In theory, you can it batch everything and call the public services.

• Unable to export of form data using FormDEfUtil.cmd

  Hi all
  
  I am not able to make the export of form data using FormDEfUtil.cmd.
  
  D:\hyperion\planning\bin\FormDEfUtil.cmd export < formname > localhost < appname > admin password
  
  I get this message when tried the script above in cmd invite below.
  
  use: HspFormDefUtil < import/export > < filename/formname /-all > < Server > < username > < password > < application >.

• export form web planning data in csv format

  It is able to extract data from web form of Hyperion Planning to csv file RAW format? I found that export function in Hyperion Planning export in fact the form of the world wide web including the header information, etc.. Can we have the function "Download" for users to extract data?
  
  I understand SmartView can do it, but not all users understand the functions of SmartView and also they may not have the installed card.

  You can create a script to do an export of Essbase. It could be run by the users. One way is to do it through Scripts of Calc.

  Here is an example.

• Migration of Security Forms

  Hi all.
  We have about 90-100 forms to a planning application and 6 different instances of this planning application (different applications for different areas of responsibility).
  We are in the final phase of the user acceptance tests and believe we have a finalized set of forms on one of the applications. I want to export/import forms to the other app using "FormDefUtil". While this gets me the form definition, it doesn't get me the access granted to the form.
  We have a configuration group for different apps that doesn't differ only slightly in the name that we have given access to the forms.
  It would be nice if I could export the name of the group that has access associated with each particular form, edit the group name and then import it into other applications. Of course, it would be easier to manually grant access on 500 forms.
  One such utility exists?
  I looked for ExportSecurity and ImportSecurity Administrator's guide, but that looks more like its user based, associate users groups and filters, it combines groups with shapes?

  Yes, it should just update the provision for forms that are in the file.
  If you're concerned just to make a backup of your db app planning and run the import for a form.

• How can I esxport / import and delete a form of planning with ODI?

  I am trying to export and import a part of a form of planning with ODI. I am using the OSCommand tool and I lunch the cmd 'FormDefUtil.cmd' file and I pass all the parameters trought the OS command but is foesn can't work. Why?
  
  ODI work in another server where the schedule is installed, but when I try to have lunch at the FormDefUtil with the OsCommand I wrote "\\PlanningServer\C$\Hyperion\Planning\bin" but it still does not work. I ping on the server and everything works, so I don't know why ODI cannot lunch it.
  
  Do you know a method to do? And also, does anyone know how to remove a form of planning with ODI?

  You can install an agent on the planning server by running the standard ODI installation package, you can install custom on it then select only to install the components of the AGENT.

  Once you have created an agent on the other server, you can point to the agent of in the topology Manager.

  I created in addition to the forms of planning data and I want to know if it is possible to move through different records a copy of these forms of data without first producing necessrily a copy as (save as).

  Hello

  Your options are to use the option "Save as" and then "move".
  or
  The form using FormDefUtil.cmd utility, edit the XML to point to a different directory, and then import it back into export.

• Substitution variables for the DTS functions in forms of planning

  
  I would like to use variables of substitution for QTD and last YEAR in a form of planning.  I have active DTS.  I can select them as members, but cannot enter as variables.

  I created a variable containing "Y-T-D (Feb).  I also tried 'YTD (Feb).   And I tried with and without quotes.  The form editor recognizes them as members period but I get an error when you run the preview: variable Substitution or member not found.

  Is someone can confirm that this feature does not exist or explain how to make it work?

• Form of planning data cut the names of members with "&lt;" or "&gt;" in the name

  We have recently updated to 11.1.2.3.500 (patched to 11.1.2.3.501 Planning) and noticed that on our forms of planning data, it's cut the names of the members so ">" or "<" are in the name of the Member.

  For example, we have the following Member: ' cost-per-minor Suite Tower (< 5K).

  In EPMA, planning, Essbase and financial information, the name of the Member fine poster Dimensions. When we use the Member in a data form, it displays as "cost per minor Suite Tower ()"-it cuts the ' < 'and everything after it. "

  We tried to recreate the shape of data, but it still cut the name of the Member. There is no alias on this member, and we have it just show the name of the Member.

  
  

  If anyone has experienced this before? As much as I know aren't restricted characters, but maybe something with 11.1.2.3.500 coding and the thought those who are part of the tags.

  We also have a 11.1.2.4 environment, I tried this and the question even exsits.  And I guess the only work is about setting out there because that's what they gave us said regarding the & in smarlists.

• How to export a single work plan?

  I've just updated to photoshop CC 2015. I like to use several arboards, but I want to be able to export from specific work plans instead of all those in my document.

  Is it possible that I can do this?

  You can of course! In your layers panel, right click on the artboard, and choose export as.
