Exporting photos do not

I have a MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, early 2015) running OS10.11.4 with 16 GB 1867 MHz RAM DDR3 and a 500 GB SSD. Because of its size, I have my library of Photos stored on a 256 GB SSD card into the card SSD slot. I have two questions:

(1) whenever I start the Photos for the first time after a reboot my Mac "forget" where the photo library are stored, and although I've repeatedly called my "primary" I have however must always say Photos where is my library. Why is this? Is there anything we can do about it?

(2) my first question was a minor fight; It is much more important. I can't export my photo library photos. I can't export to my internal hard drive of the SS, nor it will export to the SSD card on which the library is stored. What is happening with this? What I can do about it. I'm writing this, I transfer my external library of Photos on a hard drive to see if that allows me to export. (Because my photo library is so large, it may take several hours). I strongly suspect that this won't work, however.

Is there something else I can do?

1 - What is the format of this card 256 GB SSD? Works with Photos, it must be Mac OS extended (journaled) and defined as the library of the system and must always be available before launching the pictures - if you launch Photos without her Photos will start a new library

2. we cannot see you, so you must provide details - why can not export you photos? What format is the DHM you sit down now? How it is connected to your Mac? If is used as a c backup TimeMachine = volume?

  • Exported photos do not keep dimensions

Hey guys, I've noticed that in CS2 when I exported photo to photoshop to 400 H x 200W it would retain its pixel dimensions when I imported into Flash. Now in CS3 when I do the same thing the image is smaller than what I exported as. Any tips or ideas?
    Thanks in advance

what I wanted, it was, resize it to its original dimensions. Flash isn't an editing software to resize images bitmap will produce some image distortion. If you need a different size, you can resize them in photoshop first.

  • The exported photos do not appear in the Finder

I just discovered a quirk in the photos that might confuse some users how it confused me for a while.   It seemed to me to export successfully to the photos and videos from the photos app in a folder on my desktop, but they do not. Everything seemed to work. What was wrong?

I used the Terminal command to "show all files" and... that is, they were there exactly where I put them. What happened is that I have selected 'use the title' for the name of the file, but I had deleted all the titles, there is no information. Now I realize that I would have changed my preference finder to show all file extensions, and would have shown the speed to the top with nothing else than the extension:

    .jpg

    .jpg (1)

    .jpg (2)

    .jpg (3)

    etc.

The lesson is, do not delete your pictures titles or if you do, do not export your photos by selecting this option.

WoW!  It's really interesting. Thanks for sharing this!

I tried to reproduce this, and of course, I see the same thing on OS X 10.11.4.  The problem is, that a title erasing does not remove the title but creates a blank title, so that the picture has a title that is invisible.

As a test, import three new photos to multiple:

The first has a title, the other had a title, but deleted, the third party has never had a title.

When I select and export with title use 'as filename', only two photos will be displayed in the Finder.

The problem is, that deleting a title does not remove the title, but adds an empty title. If the photos are exported with the filename ".jpg".

And even make the Finder always show file extensions will not reveal the exported '.jpg' files in the Finder.

As a workaround solution, do not erase the title completely, but use an underscore character, as in the empty title '_' or similar. There needs to be a visible figure, a space is not enough.

  • Exporting photos - do not have the authorization

I can no longer export the photos of 'pictures '.  When I select one or more photos in pictures, and then follow the sequence of file > export > export a Photo unedited... (or even to export 1 Photo) then select a destination folder, I get a window of export performance with the message "IMG_8193.jpg could not be copied because you don't have permission to access [name of folder]". I can't even export to the desktop. I can move files such as .pdfs or excel or word using Finder to and from the same destination folder.  So why the blocking under the pictures?  Do not know what has changed, but it's for about 2 weeks. I don't use icloud.  And of course, I am not allowed to find the photo in the Finder, which would be a good idea.  I have OS X El Capitan 10.11.3.  Thanks in advance for any help.

I restarted my Mac and the problem disappeared.  However, if someone has a suggestion as to why it happened, I'd appreciate the input.

  • If the Photos are not Visible after their exportation from Photos for Mac

Export of Photos may write JPGs invisible on the disc, if the photos are exported with the option ' file name: use the title.

If the first affected user a title to the picture, the deleted the title text, photography will have an empty title and the exported photos will be simply named ".jpg" and treated as invisible system files.  This bug can fill the disk with lots of image files, which are not visible in the Finder, unless the hidden files are made visible.

User bikedaveca reported this bug today:

See discussion: exported photos do not appear in the Finder

More in this tip of the user:

Bug: export of Images with "file name: U title" exports the files as Invisible, if the title has been deleted

As a precaution, keep at least one printable character in the title field, when when you remove a title from a photo, so you can see, she had a given title.

As a test, import three new pictures, for example:

The first has a title, the other had a title, but removed, the third one never had a title and watch "Untitled."

When I select and export them with ' file name: use Title ", only two photos will be displayed in the Finder.

The problem is, that deleting a title does not remove the title, but adds an empty title. If the photos are exported with the filename ".jpg".

  • watermark does not appear on the exported photos

I followed all the instructions and steps to follow for the tattoo and it was working fine and now it does not want to add a watermark to the exported photos

If you zoom in on exports that you thought no watermark, you would discover that nestled very tiny in the left corner of the image was a very likely diminutive watermark. The standard watermark does not work well if the size of your image is too large, it will become absolutely tiny. You can add a copyright sign by placing it in the field of copyright of metadata or by creating a custom watermark (menu Lightroom-> edit watermarks...). This will allow you to create a text watermark which will scale to any size of export. How to type a copyright sign a lot depends on the operating system.

On a Mac it's-g option: on windows you press the ALT key and type '0169"while holding down the alt key.

  • Lightroom 3.2 catalog export failed "previews Photo is not found."

I just tried to use file > export as catalog... on my laptop. After the export is complete, a message was generated that reported previews Photo is not found. (997) and listed all the missing extracts. I looked at a random sample of files listed names and there clearly are previews. The LR catalog on the notebook contains photos of 1596 in 17 files.

I really want to move those pictures to the catalog LR to my office without having to recreate the previews.

Can someone help me with this problem?

    Bath of Lothian

LR does occasionally when it determines that there is a problem with the original extracts. In general, this is were the previews had been created in an earlier version of Lr3.

Have you tried opening the exported catalog? If no, while the previews may very well have exported. If they do not have it may be best to recreate them from scratch. If nothing else, it will give you some comfort that there was no corruption.

  • Camera with GPS and Photos shows not all contact information when importing photos in pictures

I have a Nikon AW130 with active GPS. While previously using iPhotos he always imported the exact location when you import photos. I'm using pictures and nothing appears under location. We are on a cruise on our sailboat and spend 10 months foreign traveling or diving in remote locations, geotagging is important. And I'm not geotag pictures of thousands that we take in a season of navigation manually. The Internet is also either not always available or slow and costly iCloud is not always possible. So what is the solution? Thank you.

Photos will show the locations only, if the computer is connected to the internet after importing the photos. He needs a database of Apple connection to retrieve the names of places.  Pictures don't show latitude and longitude but a place name. If you have an internet connection, you should see a name of places and a small map in the Info Panel for photos.

We are on a cruise on our sailboat and spend 10 months foreign traveling or diving in remote locations, geotagging is important

Names of places in photos are not a great help in navigation.  Most of my photos of sailing is simply display "North Atlantic" or "Sea of Caribbean", such as the location, but the locations of the pins on the map are correct.  And if you export photos Tags the GPS will be integrated. Just, make sure that you enable empbed location information in the Photos of preferences > General.

You can check if the GPS has been applied by the camera, if you export Photos photos, open in preview. The Info Panel in preview (Tools > Inspector) will tell you the GPS coordinates.

    Hello

I tried to select all the photos together, so that only a little and then just one and file - export - and I have tried everything available in the menu file name drop-down. Once I have selected the destination folder I always get error messages "The export operation failed" "error-1" "could not write destination file (1 016)"."

Anyone know how I can move my photos?

My OX Yosemite 10.10.5 a Mac so I use the new version of "iPhoto".

    Please help me!

    Thank you

Once I have selected the destination folder I always get error messages "The export operation failed" "error-1" "could not write destination file (1 016)"."

This error message can mean that making the photos or videos you want to export cannot be read and processed.

Try to export photos in small batches of photos.

First of all try to export only the first selected, to see photos, if you can export at all.

Then try more jackpots. If you see the error message again, try to identify the picture which is the cause and ignore it when trying to export the following photos.

    2. Click on the photos you want to make available in the media browser.
    3. Click the Add button.
    4. Click on the Albums tab at the top of Photos and find the new album you created.
    5. CTRL-click (or right-click) the album, then select Download this Mac originals.

This will download the full resolution of the images you have selected for your Mac, which makes them available at all times in the media browser.
