Exporting WMV with SOUL

Could someone tell me how to create a preset that allows me to export a SOUL .wmv file? I have Flip4Mac Studio Pro HD installed, but can't seem to figure out how to work with my suite CC. Please notify.

Hi AKorotkin,

I'm not sure that we have a bug connected to export (on Mac, I guess), but we do not have one for import on Windows 7.
You can create one that fits your situation? http://Adobe.LY/ReportBug

Thank you
Kevin

    Hi kennb3,

You use the correspondence-Source settings?  If so, could you try unchecking the boxes next to 'Profile' and 'Level' in the 'Video' tab in the dialog box encoding settings?  It solves your problem.  If this did not help, could you tell me the settings that you use for MPEG2 encoding?

  • Export Wmv on Mac

    Hello

I've recently switched from PC to MAC a few weeks ago and found out that the WMV export is not native in MAC and SOUL.

I did some research and see a few posts earlier here, etc. I see that many have asked a direct export of WMV of the TEA as a feature and I will do the same.

I am running 10.10.3 and PP 8.2.0. When I was doing my research, I saw that on a post of Creative COW this compressor can export wmv via components 'Quicktime '.

As I said I'm under PP 8.2.0. I also QT Pro and the other night, after reading the post of COW that I bought the compressor of apples. I am still confused on how to export a WMV file. I personally could care WMV, but I don't want to alienate users of Windows who visit my Web site and who are not interested in download of QT or another player to play QT/Mp4 files.

I am missing a setting somewhere or a clandestine work around?

I'm a little peeved at this stage because I assumed with QT Pro license, and paid for compressor I would be able to export a WMV.

    Any solutions would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Shane,

I've recently switched from PC to MAC a few weeks ago and found out that the WMV export is not native in MAC and SOUL.

Right. It is best done in another application. Doesn't matter the NLE, it has always been difficult to export WMV from Mac. Most use Flip4Mac from Telestream.

I did some research and see a few posts earlier here, etc. I see that many have asked a direct export of WMV of the TEA as a feature and I will do the same.

Here is the form: http://adobe.ly/feature_request I don't think that this request has the highest priority, however, that we don't see not many pray for him more. I certainly would consider Flip4Mac if WMV is important to you. If not, look in Jason's suggestion.

"Components" you speak of are, I believe, Flip4Mac.

    Good luck

  • Interlacing problem with SOUL/first CS5?

    Hello

I'm having some problems with a file I'm trying to comply using CS5 SOUL of mxf XDCAM-HD wrapped wmv output that I need to be able to playback of a SDI black magic card.

The source file is 25 fps PAL

If I import the mxf in SOUL directly (without going through the first), I can output a file interlaced 6 Mbps CBR using the main profile successfully and it plays correctly on the screen I use to check the reading.

However, I need to remove 2 audio channels hire them and superimpose a logo. I did it by importing the file in first, the necessary changes and exporting to the SOUL.

When I do that, if I chose interlaced as my output of the SOUL, the file that results is terrible and movement is very choppy. If I change the output to deinterlaced, I see an improvement, but it is still not as good as the file that was imported directly from SOUL without passing by the first.

I need to understand (and address) what is happening within the first who made a difference in the output file of the SOUL.

Change the other output format as wmv isn't really an option at the present time.

I tried changing the settings to interpret the film in SOUL as well as various other options. I understand that I may not have provided sufficient information here someone be able to help, but if you let me know what you need to know that I will happily provide it.

    Thank you

Fix; your sequence settings must match your settings to images so that the output to be correct. When you drop images interlaced in a progressive sequence, you say that the film is actually progressive - he is not smart enough to know the difference and use the sequence as first master parameters settings. It looks good when you do not play in sequence, because the first natively works with it. However, when you export to an interlaced format of a progressive sequence, first is essentially reinterlacing the file, resulting in some very ugly artifacts.

It's for another type of film, but try the procedure described here to get back you on track without having to do a re-Edition.

  • Export DNxHD with 8 channels audio multi... Problem! the final file only stereo all mixed with 6 empty strings.

I export DNxHD with 8 channels audio multi... My problem is that the final file all mixed in the first 2 stereo channels with the channels empty rest 6.

I'm lost on what could be the problem.

The main audio channel is 8 channels... NO stereo.
Export, I chose DNxHD and audio 48000 Hz with 8 output channels

What could this be? I need to deliver a film with the 8 mono channels.

    Really appreciate all the thoughts/help!

    Thank you

    Christian

That's how I would implement mixer in CS6's using a sequence of 8 track with 8 mono channels (mono channels using maintains levels matching, stereo and standard tracks can cause differences in level of 3db). Note the Red output channel selection and the panpot position indicated in blue.

  • Rendering and export failed with an unknown error because of the color of Lumetri?

I am rendering & export failures with an 'unknown error' code within Premiere Pro and Media Encoder.  I think that the problem is related to the Lumetri color filter that is widely used in all of the timeline.  There are hundreds of clips and each clip has 2-4 color filters Lumetri applied.  Each clip also has the red giant Cosmo and filter FilmConvert Pro 2.36.1 coming to overlap (visually underneath by order of effects filters Panel) all filters from Lumetri.  The reason why I believe that the problem is related to the Lumetri color filter is that it is the first time that I use.  Previously, I used the filter red giant Colorista III coloring, but last week decided to try using the Lumetri color for the same effect.

Please let me know if anyone has had similar experiences, what were their solutions, or if someone has some ideas on how to solve this problem.  I would really appreciate the help!

    System details:

    Windows Pro 64-bit 10

    Intel i7 5960 X 8-core 3.0GHz (cooled water and too quick to 4.2 GHz)

    64GB 2133 MHz DRAM (non-ECC)

2 x Nvidia GTX 980 4 GB GPUs (not in SLI)

Intel 750 PCIe 400 GB SSD (for BONES)

SSD Pro 1 TB Samsung 840 (for Adobe Cache)

SSD Pro 1 TB Samsung 840 (for export)

Matrix RAID 5 of 48 TB (eight 6 TB HDs with MegaRAID, LSI 9361-8i card) (for media)

    Information on the timeline:

1920 x 1080 (original video files are MP4 UHD scaled down by 50% in the timeline)

    23.976 fps

    CUDA Mercury Render Engine

    Length of the sequence: 14:30

I have discovered a workaround of sorts.  I noticed that when rendered in PP he would make progress before a failure (the green line that precedes the timeline would get a little longer).  If I saved this progress and rebooted the system, then tried to make it again, it would make a little further.  I've done this dozens of times for 4 hours make completely a 14:30 long sequence.

I noticed doing this routine that my CPU was maxxed on all rendered.  Resource monitor reported the use of CPU to 143% continuous (all other indicators RAM, disk speed, etc. were well under their maximums).  This brings me to suspect that maybe there is a problem with overheating of the CPU.  But who would be closed for the entire system, correct?

Once the entire sequence has been made (all the green lines above clips) I tried export by using the "Use preview files" option enabled.  Failure again.  I tried export uncompressed AVI, Quicktimes and PNG sequences.  All have failed.  I tried to export to PP as well as TEA.  The two have not.  I tried to export with option 'To make maximum quality' is enabled.  Surprisingly, this product the longest time encoding managed (32 minutes before failure).  As by chance, using the option of MRQ kept my CPU loads sawtoothing between 100% and 75%, then maybe there's something to the CPU overheating theory?

In an ultimate attempt desperate to save my video project (looming deadlines!) I divided the sequence of Assembly in five servings (I cut on the melted white or fade-to-black transitions) and exported to each of them.  This copy export times within 20 minutes.  It worked.

I noticed this another Adobe Forums thread that seems to speak of the similar difficulties with effects of Lumetri in Creative Cloud 2015.  Perhaps the Lumetri effects are not ready for prime time?

    https://forums.Adobe.com/thread/1236018?start=0 & tstart = 0

Please let me know if anyone has any ideas on this.  In the meantime, I'll wind up this project and never use Lumetri effects again.

    Hello Kevin,

Thank you for offering help to solve this problem.

I was able to export the majority of the sequence with all the Lumetri effects, red giant and FilmConvert mixed in clips.  After the sequence using the tedious method described above I segmented the sequence in the quarterfinals; all exported except one.  I divided it into two; Another exported doesn't have.  I cut half too, once again only half exported without failure.  I finally reduced the embarrassing part until a second sequence clips 35; an interview with green screen with superimposed titles and superposition of b-roll clips.

I removed all the effects of the Lumetri of these clips and replaced by Red Giant Colorista III effects, which are very similar to the effect of Lumetri in the GUI and application.  The sequence made completely without "unknown error."  Then it was exported successfully (and used about 70% when compared to more CPU activity 110% with the Lumetri to export).

The difference would be that the effect of color of Lumetri has this YUV icon next to it in the effect controls panel?  Which means that YUV?

The problem is perhaps not totally related to the color of Lumetri effect (as I said, I was able to export the majority of the 14:30 sequences use, although gradually by segmentation of the sequence into smaller portions), but if the move is a solution then I'll use it.

I lost a day to fix this.  If this thread is useful to someone else, then it was worthwhile.

I was wondering if there is a way to use Media Encoder to export files to WMV using a Mac format. It says here «Windows Media (WMV;» (Windows uniquement) ". Y at - it a possiblity to integrate a Mac - converter WMV as Flip4Mac in Adobe Media Encoder.

I know that I can use Flip4Mac to export WMVs in QT Pro. But it would be nice to have a program where I can save all my presets to export to.

  • Export MXF with several audio channels for broadcasting

    Hello

I work in a company of broadcasting as a Publisher. We have always used FCP with the free plugin sony xdcam to export. This plugin seems to be one of the few ways to export a MXF with 4 audio channels. I don't know exactly why we need to export it for broadcasting with 4 audio channels, but we do.

Given that our workload has increased significantly in recent months and it will no longer are optimizing our workflow. We also work with many different endboards in After Effects, and we made a nice model to work with. And since AE and first can make a dynamic link we are considering changing from FCP to Premiere.

Now the question arises! : the only obstacle that we could not find a response to export it with 4 audio channels as a MXF of first CS5. Will there be the development on this level for CS6?

A solution to this should save us a lot of time!

Any help will be very appreciated!

I've also attached an example for standard MXF files we export

  • conversion of WMVs exported from the WebEx recording Editor, will hurt video encodes with SOUL 5.5 and 6

I need to convert WMV files (which were created using Cisco WebEx recording Editor tool) to the h.264 format. This tool of the registration editor is the only tool that can get stuff on the native format of recording (.wrf) WebEx to WebEx meetings record that literally nothing includes. So I'm stuck with this WMV. That WMV has some odd properties. Media Encoder signals the WMV like 1680 x 1050 (1.0) 5 fps, unknown mono, 8 kHz,

When I try to convert the WMV to MP4, the video becomes black during a long period beginning just around a point where the image has changed on the screen. I tried a lot of output parameters that are different including cadence mapping, and the use of standard frame rates and a quick attempt with CS6 CS5.5 and nothing helped.

For what it's worth, I tried to download the trial of episode 6 and threw in that and claimed a h264 and he says, she does not have the decoder. But I'm not sure that the demo version of Telestream Episode opens WMVs.

Someone out there has already solved this problem or got any ideas for replacing encoders that may well face WMVs is not quite compatible?

    Shayne - Weyker

I found the solution. WebEx recording Editor allows you to choose from two different flavors of WMV9 to export to. And it is unclear that have selected it (I think that by default is bad) unless you open the menu drop down and watch because it truncates the name of the selected codec. The choices are

Windows Media Video 9 Screen (BAD, problems of conversion)

    Windows Media Video 9 (good)

Choose the right choice and export the WMV and then you can convert with Media Encoder.

But with Media Encoder 2015.4 gameplay video is about 15 frames before the sound. I have an intro to 4 seconds, it is in sync, so I don't understand why the matter of gameplay GET is out of sync.

When you need more information to help me, let me know.

Hi Gunther, sorry you have problems with the SOUL.  Looks like the sync is correct when exporting directly from the first, is that correct?  Also, what format you export to SOUL & first?  The problem of synchronization occur even if you export to a different format of the SOUL?  You can try to revive the SOUL with the SHIFT key to reset your preferences, just to verify that the problem is not related to corrupt settings.

If you agree with the sending of your first sequence and media I could study the problem more away from my hand, let me know and I'll send you a link.
