Express upgrade

I bought Windows 7 Home Premium with a "Anytime Upgrade".  I can't do any upgrade.  My PC does not meet the requirements for Windows 10 but meets the criteria for Windows 8.1 maximum.

Can I use the Express upgrade to upgrade to 8.1 Windows?  If not, what version of Windows 7 can go to?

I tried to upgrade Windows 7, but when asked the key to upgrade, I don't know where to find it.

Can you tell me where I can get the key for the upgrade so-called Express provided with my purchase of Windows 7 Home Premium Anytime Upgrade?  I tried for several months to know avail.

How to contact Microsoft for help? Is what I get when I click on support ads for Windows 10 facilities free of charge. As I said, my PC does not meet the requirements for Windows 10!  HELP!

Thank you in advance.

www.Windows7.com/GetKey and sign in using the "Sign In" link in the upper right of the page. This will allow to recover your product key if you have established your account with your Windows Live ID. If you do not configure a Windows Live ID account initially there is no record of your online product key. Check your e-mail since it is the only trace of your product key.

The page is longer because the anytime upgrades have stopped from 2013.

If you need to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate or Windows 8.1, you must purchase a full license.

  • Problems with the Express upgrade and an upgrade key

Before I've had my laptop, I have purcahsed a Windows 7 Ultimate upgrade disks and Windows 7 Professional. I used the ultimate update on my desk and I try to use the Professional on my laptop (which came with home premium).

The problem is that I now have a "non-genuine" copy of Windows 7 because every time the upgrade does not accept my upgrade key. I understand that they are updated slightly different, but anyway that I actually purchased is more expensive than the anytime upgrade. How to make this work?

Laptop has Windows 7 Home Premium. I used the Express upgrade to upgrade Windows Professional. Now activate Windows asks me to activate Win7 professional and will not accept the key that came with my Windows 7 Professional upgrade disks. The Activation Assistant says that I don't have the OS to use this key. The online troubleshooting guide says that such an error would occur if I am trying to use the upgraded edition to do a clean install (for example).

I don't understand, how were you able to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional in the first place through Windows Anytime Upgrade? You have been invited to enter your key first. Windows 7 Home Premium license that you upgraded was activated before the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional through Windows Anytime Upgrade?

    Try the following:

Click Start, right click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link to change your product key

Enter your product key and use the phone Activation to activate your license. Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

You cannot use a Windows 7 Professional anytime upgrade product key with reinstall media, it can be used only to upgrade license of qualification basis where you bought the upgrade in the first place (Starter, Home Premium).

The first thing you need to do is to get your key to Windows 7 Professional upgrade Express:

An e-mail containing your product key will be sent to the e-mail address associated with your Windows Live ID account or e-mail address you provided if you ignored the account configuration. Note: If you use an email tool or spam blocker spam filter, be sure that you can receive e-mail messages from microsoft.com.

If you lose your product key, you can return to

This will allow to recover your product key if you have established your account with your Windows Live ID. If you do not configure a Windows Live ID account initially there is no record of your online product key. Check your e-mail since it is the only trace of your product key.

  • Question on the Windows Vista express upgrade terms

Microsoft.com tell me that the machines of qualification will be eligible for an upgrade to Vista if purchased between October 26, 2006 and March 2007
    (http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=5559472).

I had ordered a L100 with XP Pro just before the arrival of the MS mail. Microsoft UK license Dept. had never heard of the plan when I called them this morning. Someone to Toshiba or elsewhere knows what it is all about and what

I have to do to get Vista on favourable terms, the time is right?

    Hello

I first heard about these terms.
I studied a bit on the net and found this Toshiba site on this topic:
    http://www.toshibadirect.com/TD/B2C/ebtext.to?page=vistaupgrade

Anyway, the Vista will come on the market next year and I think that before Vista is not official buy you can't wait no term. I think next year you can find more information about this action

In my opinion, you should monitor the link above from time to time.

  • Number of COA and Vista express upgrade - MODUSLINK

I finally managed to get hold of someone at Moduslink on my request to upgrade to vista now show invalid. It seems that I gave the wrong number of COA from the recovery disk came with the laptop. NO, this isn't what they want - they want one on the sticker of microsoft on the bottom of the laptop that starts with a triple 000.

If you gave a wrong number then you will have to contact them on 00800 666 44 666 and they erase the application and you can re apply after 24 hours and, hopefully, everything should work. Be prepared to wait a while on the phone that they are very busy. According to them, if all goes well, then the product should be sent in time 4-6 weeks.

    Hi Gordon

Thanks for sharing this info with us. I remember that someone has asked for the number of COA.
The number of COA starts with 000 :)

  • Windows Vista Express Upgrade in Slovakia?

Hi, a few days back (3 January 2007), I bought Toshiba Satellite A100-912. Between documents grouped in this laptop there is a flyer who briefed me on the Web site for this opportunity to upgrade (http://www.toshiba-europe.com/vista%2Dupgrade/).
