  Firefox displays a box with numbers inside instead of icons on some websites. I saw several other threads, and the problem was solved by allowing the pages to choose their own fonts. I confirmed this setting is enabled in the GUI and subject: config. However, the question is always natural. I disabled all addons, restarted FF and question persists. With the help of FF 40.0.3.

  I found the root cause of the problem. In Windows 10 when the WIndows Firewall service is stopped (I like this option disabled, I throw a perimeter FW), the problem occurs. Start the Windows Firewall service and everything is fine. Hope this helps others.

• Fonts, icons, program too big windows XP Home Edition

  EU clean and do fresh install of XP. I couldn't cope with the larger fonts and icons, the real problem is: opening Adobe Photo shop elements, windows easily top 1/3 of the screen, and I have a big screen. Tools etc always join and cannot move b ack back.

  I set my screen to the smallest resolution, 800 x 600, the fonts are set to normal, in two places & I can't find any others.

  You can change the type of font (Tahoma, Segoe UI, Ariel, Times New Roman, etc) in the section Customizing the control panel.  Choose the color of the window options, and then use the link options aspect advanced to access fonts.

  To get rid of the black shadow, type Word appearance in the start menu, then choose "change the appearance and performance of windows."  In the list, you can disable the option "use shadows for icons on the desktop" (near the bottom of the list).

  When you try to print a page as a bank statement, Firefox 18 prints now in a large font size so that the information does not fit into the page (A4).   Try to adjust the print scale: file > Page Setup > "Format & Options": scale (deselect: "Shrink to fit page width")

  Change look at a general controls the size

  Assuming that you use Internet Explorer to view your email these keyboard shortcuts will adjust the zoom:

  CTRL + + zoom

  CTRL + - Zoom

  CTRL + 0 set the Zoom to 100%.

  If you use Internet Explorer 7 or 8, you can click on the Page then text size and then select the text size you prefer.

  Maybe this will help you...
  Right-click on a free space of the desktop > view > classic icons.

• Help! Have trouble to install fonts PostScript Type 1 on Windows 7

  Hey there. I had a package of fonts by a gift from a friend. As I opened the package of fonts, all fonts PostScript Type 1 has a blank white icon. It does not work. I have installed Adobe Type Manager, but it is not compatible with my Windows 7 computer. No one knows this as another application of policies which can open and install fonts PostScript Type 1 on my Windows 7? Help, please.

  Windows Type 1 fonts consist of two files, a file .pfb containing the font itself and a .pfm containing measures extended font used to format the text on the host computer. If you don't have two files for a particular font, the font is installable and unusable. To install a Type 1 font on a Windows system, the .pfb and .pfm for police must be in the same directory. Right-click the policy and click install or install as a shortcut. Install the copy the two files in the \Windows\Fonts directory and then uses the font of this place. Install as a shortcut used by the police are located the files currently with the caveat that you should keep these files at this location, or else the fonts will not be accessible.

  If at all, you tried to install Adobe Type Manager on Windows 7 32 bit (or later), you can destroy your system's ability to properly install and use Type 1 fonts at all. If this happens, you may need to reinstall Windows! (If I remember correctly, Setup for ATM refuses to run at all on 64-bit Windows versions, saving you the destruction of your rendering of Type 1!)

  The list of icons is stored in WWV_FLOWS_STANDARD_ICONS. You can configure a synonym to this table and then do a select on it. This avoids to hardcode all the icon/class names.

  And instead of using a select list, you can create a report that simply select it and Sho icon. Then use this report as a modal page or a dialog box online.

  It would be similar to what team Apex in the page designer. It requires a little more effort for the installation program, but the result for the icons is much better than what you can do with a simple select box.

  

• Adding a new font in Web Forms 11G on UNIX

  Hello. In a piece of text in my form (forms 11g on UNIX), I need to refer to a barcode font named 39251.TTF.  On the property sheet for the item I entered 39251 font name in the font name property.  It is a font file we downloaded to UNIX in the following location /apps/oracle/product/middleware/dev_inst/reports/fonts/39251.TTF.  However when you run the web form, the police does not appear as barcode fonts. Instead, it just displays the numerical values of the issue.

  When you use fonts are not available by default on Forms 11 G (UNIX), is there something we can do from a point of view of configuration to make the fonts available for the forms to be used?

  In an Oracle Forms application, essentially for every font in your application must be a mapping for the police on the application server to a compatible Java police. If there is no mapping, Java uses a mapping 'default' - usually a constant spacing police.

  For example: If you use a non-standard TT developing - assuming that your development platform is Windows - if you want that this font used when the application is running, you will need to find a compatible font for the OS of your App Server (AS). If your ACE is Windows, simply install the font, and change the file registry.dat if the AS and Java know how to map the police during execution. If you as is UNIX or another OS, you will have to find (and likely purchase) a suitable font for this OS special until you can map the police in the registry.dat.

  You will need to do some trial and error testing to ensure that the mapping of fonts work and look the way you expect in the runtime.

  Yes the new APEX tree supports the icons. It is the same implementation of tree which is used in the designer of the page and you can see that there are a lot of icons in use there. Associated icons, the difference between the new APEX tree and the old jsTree is as jsTree images and it tree APEX uses css icons.

  The best way to get icons appears is to use great fonts icons. If you have created your own custom in the past icons you can convert a CSS Sprite image and add the necessary CSS rules in your own CSS file. There is no need to change the base css file.

When determining the file, I am out of the police errors that are not displayed in the preflight or where to find the fonts in the document. These fonts are called: F16, F18, F43, F17, F2. What is the problem? How to solve this?

  Maybe you used different fonts for extended characters. InDesign can work with OTF, you need to use. Better would be to use a Pro, which includes the characters of that language. InDesign comes with a lot of extended fonts, such as Minion Pro and Myriad Pro.

  I use web fonts custom model Edge animate successfully, but when I publish the dashboard content animate, referenced (in the .css file) fonts do not appear in the published folders.

  I could see the number of folder 'fonts' not getting copied for publish destination. It looks like a bug.
