  Hello vCloud Air guys!

  First of all, I would like to write that I really like the vCloud air service and I test extensively :-)

  I have two very simple questions:

  When there is a successor of a connector vCloud and vCloud Air integration plugin for Web Client (and therefore not in vSphere 6)?

  Great idea is to combine VMware Workstation and vCloud Air OnDemand, but I lack the opportunities to establish VPN tunnels directly from the workstation on board bridge on vCloud Air.

  Are you planning to introduce such a solution?

  It's something we can consider.  We are working on the next characteristic series of this integration to provide more basic functionality that is currently missing (power controls, etc.).

  But I like the idea... will have to depend on the platform updated to our Advanced Networking Services that is the case this year (because ssl - vpn via API will be exposed via NSX - V), but I'm leading the integration of computer work, so I'll take this low = feedback)

• I'm trying to change the ownership of directories/files with a domain network environment (using takeown)

  I'm changing the ownership of files/directories with a domain network environment. Using takeown /f \\server\share/r/a/dy. It works fine but when I check the property is actually on my administrative account as the owner. I'll need for administrators to be owner and not mine administrative account. Can you please help?

• NSX scalability in vCloud Air?

  Given that the NSX is managed and operated in the vCenter level, how can the same policies be preserved when migrating an Application (virtual machine or group of virtual machines) with said strategies to vCloud Air, since under blankets, vCloud Air infrastructure is managed by a different vCenter?

• HP officejet pro 8600: software in place of the stands to check out more of network environment

  My printer was not scanning.  I uninstalled software and keys record, then downloaded the new software, but to put in place the stalls on verification of network environment, and he said: HP Officejet NO ANSWER.  After that, I start HP Print and doctor Scan, which said that the comprehensive software solution is not installed, so I went to install, but then I got the message "Unable to download". I tried several times in vain.

  When I go to devices and printers, the HP OfficeJet Pro 8 icon shows a yellow flag, then I will troubleshoot option but they do not find a solution for my printer.  I wonder if anyone knows a solution for my printer problems? The printer is less than 3 years.  Thank you

  I see that you are looking to install the printer software. I would like to help!

  I would start with a power reset the printer.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

  Then, I would uninstall the printer softwarein case there is no residual software left.

  Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

  Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

  If after that a disaster in SMV primary location should be available for the customer? (I predict customer should have a specific configuration and product for the replication of all virtual machines of their datacenter to vCloud Air?)

  Yes, vCloud Air Disaster Recovery allows to easily backup and catering for your workloads cloud virtualized (and not virtualized using one of our third party partners), using management tools you already use on-Prem when your customer subscribes to vCloud Air Disaster Recovery, they will be able to select vCloud Air as a backup destination for their VMs within vCloud Director (see link below for a tutorial video demonstration of this action).  vCloud Air Disaster Recovery using vSphere replication to manage failover and failback of the virtual machines.  It does not require a separate, purchase everything necessary to facilitate backup and restore is included in the price of subscription vCloud Air Disaster Recovery.

  If the client experiences a disaster, they will be able to turn the virtual machines that they were back up to the cloud (up to 15 minutes RPO), in the Air of vCloud.  They have 30 days to use their ability subscribed free of charge, with the possibility of adding more resources, if necessary.

  As we previously announced, we are working on a product called Air SRM.  This product is not intended to integrate with the SRM prem, but rather a tool of orchestration and payback for vCloud Air DR plan.  The output of Air of SRM in vCloud DR Air is planned for the second half of this year.

  Lower RPO time is an element of the road map, and the target release date is announced later this year.

  Is it still possible to download an ova on vCloud Air with a browser?

  I want to deploy an ova that VMware does like vRealize operations.  Is there a catalog I can access to this directly?  What should I download this to my own machine and then use the ovf tool to import it to vCloud Air?

  You must use Ovftool. Here's how I downloaded a paralytic, I haven't downloaded anything yet since I had to spend to the Ovf, but reversing a little my order should work:

• Isolate virtual networks in vCenter in a network environment

  I am trying to isolate a group of vlan was in vCenter in a network environment. I currently have 10 assigned resource pools with different vlan id (350-360). This network environment includes several Cisco 3750 switches configured for connections. 2 VLAN separate were created on the switches to prevent access to two separate places in our building (VLAN 50 and 60).

  The objective here is to limit access to 5 pools of resources to a single office. That means that 5 resource pools (including 100 vm) can only be accessed from a desktop and not the other. The Cisco switch in this office has been configured for vlan traffic through 60 only, but is still not isolate traffic for vlan 50.

  My question: are there additional changes that must be made in the Network Configuration file in vCenter or what I need to make additional configuration changes to my Cisco 3750 switches?

  Any help/advice would be appreciated!

  It's my rating based on p16 and vSphere Networking Guide 5.1 p12. I think about it every now and then. Assuming you are using VST (Virtual Switch Tagging) config, you must ensure that

  1 MV in 5 of the pools you want isolated is mapped to the correct port groups (corresponding to the vlan 50 and 60)

  2 master the correct uplink port on vSS/vDS and physical switch. An easy way is located to 4095, but for security reasons I am generally hosting only VLANs in use.

  3. of physical switch you trunk between edge and core and allow some VLAN specific (e.g. the vlan 50 or 60) on a different port on the switch to edge to hang on your office.

  Yes! AirPlay with an AppleTV is the easiest to use and less complicated solution.

  SD / HD makes no difference.

  You will only be able to enjoy the full quality of an HD movie with a better projector however. This model projector is not really intended for presentation of home theater. It will work well. As you can imagine that there is no upper limit on the amount, you can overlook these things, but $2000 is going to buy a nice home theater projector these days. A few years ago, you would need to spend $ 50,000 or more.

  No, not if you bought (or leased) from iTunes. They have to play on any device compatible iTunes. You can even use AirPlay to distribute it to your AppleTV from an iPhone.

  Yes.

  Can I use a patch to connect the VGA cable to the port on the computer to the projector?

  Not without a converter. Avoid using the VGA if possible. It's a terribly outdated and generally horrible alternative to any digital standard. Since your MBA has a port Thunderbolt, and if your projector has a HDMI input, buy a cheap (± $10) Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter cable. But AirPlay is preferable to a wired connection.
