• Attachments in the form of opening Image

  When I get some attachments in emails (usually a PDF or Word document), the document opens as a flat image and I can only see the first page.  I chatted with two members of the Apple support team and both indicated that they had never heard of the problem and none were able to assist in a resolution.  This seems to be a fairly common comment/question here in the support communities.  Hoping someone can get a glimpse.  Thank you.

  First of all the attachments must be a PDF to be attached at the end. If that is satisfied while you can use Acrobat to add these pages at the end of the doc. This can be automated using LiveCycle assemble server.

  Another option would be to create a portfolio. Attachments would not be the end of your document, but they could be presented in different ways. Do a google search of portfolios Acrobat... .you will find many sites that describe portfolios and what you can do with them.

I know after you have submitted the form, users can join objects, but in the form itself, the attachment field only allows you to point to a file.   The portal manage a file as an attachment. Need an improvement would be asked for several files. One solution would be to compress multiple files into one.

• When I enter the name/email in web forms, the form is not 'read' or recognize my valid entered as name/email text.

  This has happened on several different sites in several different contexts. I enter information but then receive a "Please indicate your name and your email address" or "This is not a properly formatted e-mail address" message (based on whatever the form code provides some error messages for empty mandatory fields). I rechecked, of course, and the text has been entered correctly. This has happened once with AutoFill, last time I entered the text myself.

  Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

  'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Firefox > Preferences > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

  If the names and passwords still show in the password manager so that they are not deleted.

  If you don't see them in the password manager, but they still fill then you either they have saved in form or you have an extension that has saved this data.

  ·         How did you receive this form?

  ·         What happens when you try to open the form?

  ·         What is the file extension or the form that you received?

  If the form needs no associated program to open it, then you will need to install the program to be able to open the form. For example, if the form you received is in PDF format you need Acrobat to open the form.

  Windows will always add something, or a menu item to copy a list of files in Windows Explorer in the form of text in an application?  I would like to run a DOS command (dir c: /s > c - example.txt) as I did years ago, but as I'm sure your aware, constantly been availible for years and your virtualization Windows MS-DOS command line is incompatible with my new computer... All solutions would be grately appreciated.

  Hi Dave,.

  I have good news for you:

  There are two ways to do what you want:

  The first is the simplest and is already in Windows 7 (and Vista by the way):

  1. highlight one or more files that you want to know the way in Explorer.
  2. press and hold the SHIFT keyand right-click on one of the highlighted files.
  3. when the popup menu appears, click the entry in the path of the copy which appeared as if by magic, because you're now the SHIFT key.

  A slightly better method, IMO, but it takes a little extra work is to add an extension to the send menu to allow you to right-click on one or more files and choose send to-> Clipboard (as name).  This somehow me seems more practical, because I'm used to the way in which the rear PowerToys when.  Such an extension, which also adds a nice Panel to help you manage the menu send to, is a neat package small freeware called send to toys, by Gabriele Ponti, which can be downloaded here: http://www.gabrieleponti.com/software/index.html#sendtotoys

  A nice feature of the program send to toys, is that you can even have it put quotes around any path to file that contains white space.  Practice indeed!

  P.S., A command line similar to BACK tool is still (and always has been) available.  On the start menu, select: Start -> all programs -> Accessories -> command prompt.  Or you can just run: CMD.exe

• Adobe Reader does not allow signing the form?

  I created a form with Adobe LiveCycle Designer with a number of fields of digital signature. When the form opens with Adobe Reader, it does not allow for signatures to be completed it shows an error message «to avoid the security settings on the document, adding text and/or by placing a signature on it since Adobe Reader»

  What did I do wrong?

  You probably just drive - activate the form. You can do this with Acrobat or LiveCycle Reader Extensions.

  There is no way to do this with forms of the Muse. However, there are other extensions third party for forms that use services such as WooForms, etc. which can add this capability for you.
