  I installed Win XP Pro on my M50-244, but whenever I plug a data stick in the USB port, I get a message about the connection USB could be faster with USB 2 blah blah.

  The laptop uses the standard Microsoft Windows USB driver. On the Toshiba page you will find all the special USB drivers for WinXP.
  Have you used the recovery CD or did you install the OS of Microsoft CD?
  Possibly, you have not installed the chipset driver?

• Need drivers for Equium M50

  I have an equium M50-216 PSM57E what im trying to fix for a friend, he has made a clean XP boot but does not back up the drivers and now I am trying to find the network controller driver, as well as two video card (VGA) is to achieve operational results again.

  Anyone know where I can find these drivers? As its driving me crazy trying to find them!

  I searched and I found all the drivers and the drivers LAN and VGA of course too.

  I wanted to add more memory, so, on the recommendation of the Toshiba Product Support page, I bought the Toshiba PA3411S-2M1G memory (from eBuyer) module.

  Trying to mount the module of memory in my machine, I found that it is not! 'Separator' plastic between the two contacts on the laptop computer does not match the position of the notch between the two sets of pins on the memory module.

  Tosh recommends part number: PA3411S - 2M1G 1024 MB (1 GB) memory PC2-4300 (533 MHz) DDR2

  The memory that's happened has PA3411S-2M1G 1024 MB (1 GB) PC2-4200 (533 MHz) DDR2 memory on the box.

  Someone in the forums said that PC2700 PA3313U-2M1G is the part number.

  The manual supplied with the M50 means memory PC2700 .

  Anyone know the number, or an alternative appropriate by another manufacturer?

  I am very annoyed, as hotline support suggested, I phone their sales department! So they can sell me more wrong memory strips? Now look forward how the glove of returns with eBuyer...

  You can create Tools & Utilities CD alone. You will find this option if you start "Toshiba Assist" and change in the tab "protect & difficulty.

  You can find the drivers in the ARCHIVE. So, to open the download page of Toshiba and under product type, select ARCHIVE. Problem is that your laptop is not supported for Vista, and you will not find driver sound it.

  I found the info your laptop has its Realtek ALC AC97 250 card.

  Try to find the Vista driver on the support page of Realtek. Please let me know if you have found it.

• Equium M50: I get "IRQL NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" for the various drivers

  I just bought a new Equium M50 (PSM59), and for three days, it is just had problems. I get IRQL NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL for drivers (USB, WIFI etc.) and sometimes the screen goes all black.

  I tried reformatting, but the problems won't go away.

  -Does anyone know what could be the problem?

  Well, if you got the unit with recovery CD and the error message occurs so it could be a serious problem.
  You plug a USB 3 device?
  I have read that, sometimes, this error occurs after you connect a USB device and/or the driver faulty.

  Please, perform the following steps.

  On this page under product Type, choose the option ARCHIVE and then your laptop model.

  I checked and are there drivers for Windows XP Home edition. Please download the installation instructions document too and install all the stuff after this installation order. It is very important to install the drivers, tools and utilities in the correct installation order.

  Here is the User Guide for your HP Pavilion 11-n038ca.

  In Chapter 4 on Page 22, you will notice that gives you information on the Audio output (headphone) / audio (microphone) input and it said " ""allows you to connect powered pregnant option stereo, headphones, earphones, headphones or an audio cable from the TV. Also lets you plug in a microphone headset option. This decision supports not only microphone optional devices. «However, you must make sure what you buy, because you will also see that it says "NOTE: remember that the cable of the unit has a connector 4 pin that supports audio output (headphone) and audio (microphone).» »

  In Chapter 4, Page 23, it also gives you a small paragraph on the Audio use and connection of the speakers.

  Please read the information contained in the manual carefully to make sure you have the specifications appropriate for the type of external speakers, you need for your laptop.
