  • BlackBerry App Question on applications of BB...

Hi, I currently own an android on a vibrant phone. I am looking for a new phone and I am considering the iphone 5 OR the z10 blackberry.

With my current phone, I have 2 things that really annoy me when it comes to apps. What I want to know about the BBz10 and its applications is...

Bb apps require a lot of personal information such as my contacts or location or phone info? I know that a few apps would be, but for the samsung apps, I've seen applications such as chess want personal information which I think is not necessary.

In second place on my phone there are a few applications that require that I must go and force them close even after that I have quit the application. Apps BB have this problem or are they finished running when you leave them?

Every Android owner will know what I mean with my questions. I hope BB apps are better when it comes to personal information and not being not so invasive.

    Thanks for all the answers.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Your question about personal information in applications actually would be better directed to application developers. BlackBerry does develop all the apps... in fact, only a small fraction of them. 3rd third-party developers create their applications and place in them the requirements they desire. I not saw nothing on BlackBerry where you indicate, except in the apps that would be a reason for it (for example, BB trip simply needs some data works properly). Here again, I did not use the types of applications you mention as examples (for example, chess).

In regards to the release of the app, BlackBerry 10 is pretty good all by releasing apps. Historically, apps had the ability to leave themselves a resident when closed in a way special, but so firm, they could be forced to close really. The BB10, I don't think that there is the capacity in fact in the same way, but I also think that BB10 is very well written from a perspective of memory management.

    YMMV.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry App Facebook Z10 questions

I had a job for years facebook app and I don't have much to complain, but now there's a lot going on with the app that I don't get. After updating the app, I was not able to use it. Now, acting as a kind of shortcut for my browser, calendar, and contacts Facebook, hub is gone and it is now useless as it is now a browser shortcut. How to fix, it downgrade to the previous or how long should I wait for an update that works?

Exactly, the Facebook for BlackBerry app has been disabled due essentially to the fact that Facebook will not allow access to what is called the BlackBerry Facebook API. Fault of Facebook and the decision. BlackBerry has created the browser shortcut.

  • Connections blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Apps and Facebook does not

I can't seem to connect to one of my 'apps', including Blackberry Apps World! I entered my password, but the message is not correct. For the world of applications Blackberry, I enter the answer to my security question, and the Blackberry said he's sending a message to my email address for me to reset my password - except that it freezes and nothing happens. For Facebook, once that I entered the password and get the message that this is not correct (even if it's the right password) - there is nothing I can do. No way to reset or change the password. Can someone advise please.

Get you an error or warning when you try to connect to App World? You are also able to connect using your BlackBerry ID to: www.blackberry.com/blackberryid?

On the issue of Facebook, you are able to browse the internet or send and receive email without problem? You are also able to connect to Facebook on your computer? • BlackBerry 10 Questions on app and updates BB10

I recently got a classic BlackBerry and I have a few questions.

First of all, BlackBerry apps world somehow checked or scanned for malware? I'm pretty skeptical of third party software, but I would like to install a terminal emulator any. I was looking at Term48.

Secondly, I read that the new private will have Android on it. Does that mean that BlackBerry will become yet another Android phone salesman and that 10 BlackBerry will be interrupted/not supported in the near future?

    Thanks for your time.

Applications submitted through BBWorld indeed pass tests and checking for malware. Indeed, even if you install APKs (that you can on a device BB10), those are also checked by the Guardian BB app to see if they are known to contain malware or other problems. It is perfect? Without no doubt... but I do not remember all any confirmed report of malware, viruses, or other such things on BB devices. BBs are still safer mobile devices available.

No one here in this community of users may know (or, if they are not, reveal) what the future holds. My speculation is that indeed the PRIV aura Android, but BB powered secure... a kind of hybrid OS. BB10 is not known to be scheduled for the end of life, and don't we know if the PRIVATE is the only, or the first, this device to be released by BB. We all need to wait and see.

    Good luck!

Please I need help with my facebook app. He won't open and I can't even install it it BlackBerry world either. What would I do?

Wink is primarily intended to connect to the Google game shop, so you can install the apk android on your Blackberry device files, so we do not use wink in this case...

You'd have to use is Knowyou, if you are not familiar with its use, check:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/BlackBerry-10-OS-device-software/upgrading-BB10-OS-using-Sach...

In fact, you can skip the part about choosing which of the alternatives to use for this process, since we don't ask knowyou to extract the source files online.

Here's what you need to do:

Download the bar to produce for the purposes of facebook from your computer, using the link below:

    http://CDN.fs.SL.BlackBerry.com/FS/QNX/production/b09d41cf7bee2031431998e2c316fb775f0ef589/Facebook-...

Download Knowyou on your computer (download link)

    https://github.com/xsacha/Sachesi/releases/download/2.0.0RC/Sachesi2-RC-Windows.zip

Set your system offline (it disconnect from internet)

Connect your BlackBerry smartphone to your computer (if the Blackberry link auto lance, close it)

Launch Knowyou (if you have a password set for your device, would be asked and you will need to enter it and knowyou should automatically detect your device type.)

Click the install from knowyou interface, click on setup file and place where the .bar facebook has been saved, click it and let knowyou do its magic (you can also use drag and drop once you are on the installation interface)

Once Knowyou is done, you can restart your device (although not a necessity, but I prefer it like that).

If there are errors, please come back to the forum and let us know... If it's not and you get successfully return facebook app, also share your experience.

Once installed and your device has been restarted/rebooted, you can rely on Blackberry App World to check an update of the facebook app

    Hope this helps

  • Question of synchronization to blackBerry Smartphones: there is a problem connecting to BlackBerry App World. Please try again.

First of all, I have never had this problem before when you try to install the apps from the app world.

I am trying to download WhatsApp Messenger through App World by clicking Download, and then by clicking on the button 'Sync '. I'm then prompted with the error "synchronization problem: there is a problem connecting to BlackBerry App World." Please try again. ».

    Screenshot: http://goo.gl/RSx8v

App world tells me on the right side of the page that my machine is connected (which is) via the USB port. I tried the phone turned off, taking the battery for more than a minute to be sure, restart the phone, restart the computer and try again with no luck.

I also tried several browsers, Chrome and Firefox.

I found this page which tells me it could be a firewall issue, http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/viewdocument.do?externalId=KB27184&sliceId=1&cmd=displayKC&d...

I therefore disabled my firewall and still had no success. This gets really annoying, and my blackberry seems to have stupid questions like this forever.

Anyone got any ideas on a solution possible?

    Thank you.

I tried in IE and it works. Went back to Firefox and Chrome, and it does not work. But the interesting thing is a friend tried his blackberry on my computer and it works fine in Firefox.

EDIT: I found the problem, I deleted the App World Plugin from my computer and reinstalled Firefox and it works. Why it does not detect that I use a plugin obsolete?

    Anyway, problem solved.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Facebook updates are not displayed in the Facebook BB app

Hello! I installed a new version of the Facebook app for BB (2.0). Everything is going well except for the fact that some updates are not reflected in the Facebook of BB application. I get normally new RSS and messages, but I don't see it as "xxx was marked in picture xxx" or 'xxx and yyy are friends now. " Is it supposed to be like this? Or something is wrong?

Information that you reference was never available in the facebook for blackberry app, same 1.9. However, you can only view the mobile site by pressing Menu in the application, then select "Go to the Mobile Site" it of your perception of information, hope that answers.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones blackBerry Apps such as facebook and more stored on the memory card

Hello!! This is my first post. Just bought my blackberry curve 8900 from t-mobile and I can't understand how to store my blackberry apps that are downloaded on my card instead of the phone's memory. I need help please

Cannot do. The applications are stored ON the memory of the device.

Now, if you want to disable and a backup application, you can do in AppWorld (for applications downloaded on the AppWorld) and re-install later.

You can also use the software Aerize which stores the apps on the map in support, but install them when you are ready to use them.

But you can not install and run an application from the media card.
