Faced with delays in starting with my Windows 7 computer problems.

Original title: windows takes 2-3 minutes to load dessktop

It is a problem which has recently begun, apparently after about 11 updates of windows one day. When I start my PC it load my Asus screen and brings fast loading screen, with flashing Windows, windows logo and to sit down again in this form of 1-3 minutes. then, after the long break, the Office will go up and loads just as quickly it is normally from there. On occasion, e windows logo screen will be just a black screen and I have a mouse cursor, but always takes the about 2 to 3 minutes to load on the desktop.

I tried to install WinBootInfo as some other forum posts suggest that to follow the startup time and see if something was slow but on gettint to the installation wizard it tells me it cannot be installed on windows xp/vista? So I am running Win 7 don't know whats going on here

I have trtied disabling all non-windows via MSConfig startup applications also no help

I checked that all the processes running for any virus, malware, etc did not notice anything

The disk check was good, so I don't think my SSD is at fault

I did not, at the event as an observer, a mistake of tracing of kernel-Event ID 3 and 4 ID but has been recurring for the months which can contribute to my occasional BSOD

I'm running Win 7 pro and am not the best at diag and repair PC, so I'm pretty noobish. Everything seems to work just fine but its quite annoying to have to wait so long when he used to start the desktop in about 30 seconds

Any thoughts no idea or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

  • Windows 8 homegroup via wireless with Security Windows 7 computer password warning

At first I apologize for being so inept, but I do not understand how computers communicate with each other.
Never have and it frustrates me no end. I don't know that I do what infinitely more complicated than it really is.

I have two computers, Windows 8, Windows 7, and I want to share/move files between them.
As I understand it, this means that none of the standard XP compatibility problems are involved.
I got the different residential group folders and pages so I don't know where they are and what they are asking.
Both computers come with their name on each of the other networks on libraries, etc., framed in folders.
Windows 8 has a homegroup computer put in place with its files to share.
Windows 7 sees this homegroup, so I'm sure I'm OK with the basic plan.

If I click on the symbol of the other computer under the sign of the network on one or the other, I get ask username and password of Windows security.
What user name and password, they are referring to?
The password created for me in the homegroup section?
Is the user name that I just create or should it be the name of the computer?
Is the name and the password for my router wireless never involved?
I would like to be the main computer of Windows 8, but I must have each computer to join the other homegroup

I also have a group of work involved on the Windows 8, generically named Workgroup.
When I go to the systems to confirm or change the name of the computer, if I select the Working Group, I get the following:
You cannot join a computer to a domain running from this edition of Windows 8.
Two computers, when I get quick security, yet have a domain name.
    Should I worry about this?
The Working Group will be distinct from the Homegroup if I set up one for work?

Again, I apologize for my inability to grasp some of these things.
Believe me, nobody likes less than me.

    Hello

I want to tell you that you can try to enter the username and password created in the homegroup and the audit section.

You can create a homegroup on one computer and what to do as the master computer and make other computers to join the homegroup.

I suggest you check out these links for more information about homegroup.

Why can't I connect to other computers?

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

It can happen because of the conflict of device driver if Windows update tries to install the updated driver for a device that has an updated driver.

It says ERROR FATAL of GTA IV: WS10 and I looked online and it said it had something to do with my real account, I checked to see if I was logged on Live thinking that is what it can be, but it still appears like that, can anyone help me with this problem?

    • Update your graphics card driver.
    • Update the driver for your motherboard.
    • Unininstall and reinstall .net Framework 3.5 and 4.0.

    And then:

    1. Click Start-> Control Panel-> Add / Remove programs.
    2. Delete all with the name "Microsoft Games for Windows" (the one with the blue icon)
    3. Launch "Rockstar Games Social Club".
    4. There are 'Last Rockstar Social Club News' on the right;

If it doesn't, try to uninstall and reinstall the game.

Hey all, my computer is a windows 7 and my printer does not work with it. I did all the methods to find out why the printer will not install the correct driver troubleshooting. Im hoping one of you guys can help and enlighten me.

Try the following: click Start, devices and printers, add printer, a local printer, LPT1: (it is a temporary placeholder), and then click the Windows Update button in the lower right.  At this point, there are two possibilities: you will get is an updated list of the printers after a few minutes, or an error message "Windows cannot find the list...". "after about 20 seconds.  If you get the manufacturer select list update HP (Hewlett-Packard) and find the Officejet 4300 in the list.  Once you have confirmed the Officejet 4300 series then cancel the dialog box add printer and install the driver as described in this document.

  • Many services that are not started in the Windows XP computer.

Original title: WIN XP has deteriorated
Seems a great number of services do not start and are lost.  This causes a lot of things I don't like:
    No Clipboard
    No audio
    No spool printer
    Impossible to move files
    Cannot use the system restore
    etc.

My CPU get - online, most of the work programmes, but these limitations are really more than annoying.  I spent hours to read and do all kinds of things, but alas the notng seems to work.  I created an image of the CD from my WIN7 CPU.  No change.  * Sigh *.

    I am sad.

If sfc/scannow you help, I'll send you or your charitable organization preferred $100 Americans.  So far, I'm zero dollar.

    What you mean:

    No Clipboard

Do you mean that you are unable to start the ClipBook Service?

If you try to get an error 1068, that's because the ClipBook Service has a dependency (see the Dependencies tab) and who would be the network DDE Service and who does not start because it also has a dependency of the Network DDE DSDM Service.  So they all have to work for the ClipBook Service starts.

I would say that normally keep all that junk disabled unless you think you have a good reason for them to run at all.

What you - services are lost?  They lack the Services Applet?

    Which are absent?

What a Win 7 has to do with this XP system (hopefully nothing).

I would like to run some malicious software scans everything first, then we can see about getting your Services back together.

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
Restart your computer and solve the outstanding issues.

Then just choose a Service - like your print spooler and try to launch and operate.

Describe what happens when you try to start it (next to her does not work).  If you ever get an error 1068 you try to start a Service, you must open the properties/dependency tab and see what needs to be executed first and start them (such as the remote procedure call (RPC) Service).  The RPC Service should be running all the time in any case - is - it?  I f it does not work, run it, and set the Startup Type to automatic.

If your Service of print media is totally absent from the Service Applet (it happens sometimes), I am sure, that a Microsoft Support engineer can say to it add.

If they can't, I'll do it.

    Hi papajoes,

You did it all change hardware or software on your machine before this problem?

This problem may occur if your boot device (for example, a floppy drive, hard drive or CD-ROM drive) does not contain startup files.

  • After February 10, Windows Update computer problems

My Acer Aspire X 1200 has been paralyzed after an update on 10 February.

After the update has been installed, my computer has freezes which lasted from 10 seconds to 2 minutes and sometimes I got that last 5 seconds that's happened every minute frozen. The sound is also taken in the loop. I had to make stops hard just to get my computer to cut. When my computer is started after the closure, it's super slow to start my applications (MSN, Xfire, PandoraOne and box). After that, the computer will not start Firefox or Internet Explorer. If a program starts, it is almost impossible to run due to the freeze. I already have 2 system restore to before the update, and my computer works very well. I also used AVG and cyber to scan my computer for viruses, they both came up empty, but Cyber has demonstrated a lot of registry errors. The only way I can even run my computer is through safe mode. Help, please!

It's terrible to hear, Daruma: I'm sorry to see that you are in such a pass.  I am not particularly satisfied with the aggressive way, Microsoft pushed the security updates lately.  I understand the need for them, but in Windows 7, I'm more than a little annoyed how this February as a whole has been treated.  What can be so potentially crippling must be more carefully tested, and we certainly shouldn't we have our machines impose us a reboot.  I had more than one backup at night or rip or other lengthy process completely the bomb at the last minute because my machine decided it was time to restart the machine and am tired of wait on me to answer the pop-ups of nag.

I have some information that can help you, but it is not enough.  At this point, you want to find the smartest geek you know and bribe him with pizza and Red Bull to repair your machines.  Show them this thread too...

    (1) you are right, that if you run a 64-bit OS and try to use a 32-bit installation disk to perform a recovery, you will encounter problems.  Under XP, it's even worse: the disks that are different flavors of Windows XP (such as "Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1" and "Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2") are also out of sync relative to each other, making the recovery of the wrong version sometimes impossible.  HOWEVER...

    (2) with Vista and 7, Microsoft has homogenized their drives: a drive for 7 Pro can also be used to recover/repair an installation of 7 Home or Ultimate.  I don't know if it's perfect, however: you may still be unable to use a 32 bit disc to get a 64-bit machine and vice versa (which I think is what you're saying).  THEN

    (3) you may have a hidden partition on your hard drive that contains your OS and original software.  It would be visible at startup time and therefore could be extracted and transformed into a bootable OS or momentum from a pre-loaded recovery utility.  Gateway and Toshiba have done this before.  AND

    (4) you may also be able to * buy * these discs Gateway system or Toshiba.  I had to do exactly this for gateway my aunt last year, paying about $30 for a system recovery disk.  My Toshiba comes with a utility that is supposed to create your discs for you by burning them to blank media, but it was absolute garbage, ripping coasters of almost a dozen and never get the last disk made.  I got a real BS answer on why the burning utility did not work... but I was told that I could buy the discs if I wanted to.   BUT

    (5) in the worst-case scenario, all is still not lost.  If for any reason, the hard drive is watered, your hired geek can put another HDD, install an OS on it, and then focus on your current hard drive and pull all the files out of what you want to use.  Or they can simply pull on your hard drive, put it in a working machine, back up everything that was on it, then put the HD in your machine and do a full format/reinstall.  From there on, you manually load all your files back on the new facility.  It's a pain, but it will almost get you back to where you were.

Even if you have formatted your hard drive, some files can be recovered.  I used a utility called "Restorer2K" a couple of times and it was excellent traction deleted files do market back a formatted hard drive.  Just try to do it before the installation of a new facility on top of the empty car.  ALSO

    (6) there is a little more work, but not hard work... your geek-for-hire can also take a drive in Windows, download the software and drivers for your machine and 'mind meld' together to do a custom installation disc.  It is a GREAT free tool called "nLite" (for XP) or "vLite" (for Vista and I think that 7) who will do it.

In the future, I know that this may seem like a pain, but you might want to grab a free backup utility called Macrium Reflect.  It can be programmed to perform backups of your machine on a regular basis and even store them somewhere else.  For example, you could tell the gateway to the top Thursday night in a big fat USB, plug the USB key Thursday night and leave the front door during the night.  Then say the Toshiba to save on Friday night on the USB, Plug and let the Toshiba on it during the night... you get the idea.  This way if this happens again, at least you have a way to back up things and never lose more of, say, evidence of a week of things.
