fade in slideshow in Dreamweaver

Here is the code I use. How can I get the images fade one in the next in my slideshow?

< script type = "text/javascript" >

variable that increments through the images

var step = 0

function slideit() {}

If the browser does not support the purpose of the image, the exit.

If (! document.images)

return

slideimages [step] SRC = document.getElementById('slide').src

If (step < 5)

step ++

on the other

step = 0

call the function 'slideit()' every 5 seconds

setTimeout ("slideit ()", 5000)

}

SlideIT()

< /script >

Looks like you missed a few steps. Refer to the page where the script is extracted:

Creating a slide show image (two parts)

or you can use something like:

Cycle2

who could offer you an easy way to apply changes much more to the slide show.

Hi guys, I was wondering how to create a slideshow in dreamweaver cs5, I was watching a guy do in dreamweaver cs4, but I couldn't find the Panel of flash elements.

    Thank you

Do a Google search on 'a jQuery slideshow' here! A country of the wonders of slide show plug-ins!

Cool that it's jQuery slideshows, is that they all work basically the same way, once you go through the learning curve of implementation that you will be able to use an any of them. In this way, that you don't have to be locked into a particular look. You can use that will look best for each site.

    Enjoy!

  • HOW can I create a SIMPLE fading slideshow in dreamweaver CS5?

I would like to have a slide show of slow fading of some images related to the web page the user is on.

I have a div tag separated, with pixels of space 235 x 440 allowed for images. All I want is the slideshow to fade in and out of one another using 3 or 4 pictures, no text, no Panel or vignettes or any other frills, just basic good quality of photos fading in a slide show loop.

I just want that when the loading of the page upward slide show starts automatically and slowly performs a loops continuously until the user changes page.

I've seen animated GIFS from photoshop, which are not good because the picture quality is horrible, and in fireworks, where it comes with a control panel for the user to manually browse images or thumbnails. I don't want that. Just open Flash? or dreamweaver has an answer?

Surely there must be a simple and basic way in dreamweaver alone for all Exchange/fade an image with another image several times and that's it? None?

If it can be done in dreamweaver, please tell me what program, it can be done in and how.

Thanks a lot a lot a lot in advance for anyone with a solution that is easily explainable.

I am designing a site in Dreamweaver with a bootstrap model and want to create a simple slide show to fit in the middle of a page with transitions, only 6 columns wide.

These rules, except for the images used to down or to the right pointing arrows, located in the SpryMenuBasic.css file

They take the following classes of widget for layout of menu (located in a "Preset")

. MenuBar - applies to all menu bars - default is a horizontal bar, all submenus are vertical - level 2 subs and beyond are drop down to the right.

. MenuBarVertical - vertical main bar; All submenus are drop down to the right.

You can also pass in extra classnames to set your desired top-level menu bar layout. Normally, they are defined by using a predefined setting.

They apply only to the horizontal menu bars:

MenuBarLeftShrink - the menu bar will be horizontally "shrinkwrapped" be just big enough to hold his items and left-aligned

MenuBarRightShrink - as MenuBarLeftShrink, but right-aligned

MenuBarFixedLeft - set to a specified width defined in rule "." MenuBarFixedLeft', and left-aligned.

MenuBarFixedCentered - Fixed to a specified width defined in rule "." MenuBarFixedCentered',.

and centered in its parent container.

MenuBarFullwidth - expands to fill the width of the parent container.

In general, all the rules specified in this file are prefixed by #MenuBar so that they don't apply to instances of the widget inserted along

with the rules. This allows use of multiple MenuBarBasic widgets on the same page with different layouts. Due to limitations in IE6.

There are a few rules where this was not possible. These rules are so noted in the comments.

Some rules above use several class names to an element of selection, such as "hover" (MenuItemHover) and 'a a submenu' (MenuItemWithSubMenu).

    * Unfortunately, IE6 does not support using mutiple classnames in a selector for an element. For a selector like '. foo.bar.baz', IE6 does not take into account

    * all but the final classname (here, ".baz") and defines the specificity in consequence, with only one of these classs as significant. To work around this problem

    * problem, we use the plugin in SpryMenuBarIEWorkaroundsPlugin.js to generate classnames for IE6, such as "MenuItemWithSubMenuHover".

    * Given that many of these necessary, the plugin does not generate additional classes for modern browsers, and we use the copies of CSS2 style class

    * It should not and gets the specificity wrong too, we have rules of order carefully, then misapplied rule in IE6 can be overridden.

    * So we put first the multiple class rule. IE6 wrongly apply this rule.  We follow this with the single class rule that it would be

    * replace by mistake, by ensuring that the specificity of IE6 interpreted as is the same as the unique class selector, so the latter wins.

    * We then create a copy of the rule of multiple class, adding a "." SpryIsIE6' in the context of the class and to ensure that the specificity

    * the selector is high enough to beat the rule of single class in the case of "match of these two classes. We place the rule of IE6 at the end of the

    * If you decide you do not need IE6 support, you can get rid of these, as well as the inclusion of the SpryMenuBarIEWorkaroundsPlugin.js script.

    * The 'SpryIsIE6' class is placed on the HTML element by the script in SpryMenuBarIEWorkaroundsPlugin.js if the browser is Internet Explorer 6. This avoids the need of IE conditional comments to these rules.

  • Viewer is not visible online

    Dreamweaver CS3, Vista Home Premium, IE8, Firefox 3.0.3 http://www.wereofftobvi.com/accomodations
I am a newbie to Dreamweaver CS3 and trying to help my daughter with her website. The description how to include the Image Viewer seems to be very simple. I did everything accordingly and when I play the slideshow in Dreamweaver everything works as indicated (without controls, loop, melted etc..).
When I use the preview what I see is an empty place where the Viewer is supposed to be. Only after that I click on one of the other links, navigation, and then again to "Locations" see the slideshow.
I downloaded from the website, but the image viewer doesn't show at all in Firefox. In IE8, there is a space where the Viewer is supposed to be. No slide show.
    What I am doing wrong?
    Thank you.

Looking for your file is the file .swf on your local hard drive:

    Files file:///D|/D o c u m e n t s/Dreamweaver/local_sites/BVI/media
    Files/slideshow.swf

Edit this link points to the relative location of the .swf to the
document. If you have configured your Site definition correctly, you should
being able to simply re - insert the .swf file. Otherwise, change the path in
    the Code view (4 places).

  • Problems with slide show.

First of all, thank you to all those of you who read this forum and take the time to help those of us who are struggling.

I built a slideshow with the Fireworks command menu. I had three files and 1 folder, the "index.html", "player_black.swf", "slideshow.xml" and the folder "scripts". I recorded it in a subfolder of the page that I am building.
I then imported this slideshow in dreamweaver with the import command. That all went well.
When I saw the page in my browser, I get the slideshow, but no images. I get the same thing if I 'play' the file in dreamweaver. The layout of the slide show is here, but no slides are displayed.

I'm running out of ideas and seariously need help! Here is my file structure in dreamweaver. I know there must be a simple answer out there. It must be something that I'm on.

    SiteName (root)
    |
    -page 1
    |
-albums of images (contains images of this page)
-images of the page (contains images cut into slices form Fireworks to build the page)
-Slideshow file (contains all the files for the slide show I am building)
    -pagename.html (real html page)

    |
    -page 2
    |

I fixed it! I'm a newbie here so you must forgive my lack of experience.

For those of you who might encounter this same problem, here is the answer.

All the files for your slide show must be in the same folder as the html file which is actually your page.

    Example;
Below is a structure file for a 'site '.
Makes you want to put a slow slip on the "photos" page
If you use the Fireworks slideshow creator, generates 3 files and several folders.
Folders are the folders that contain the pictures, it appears on the slide show.
It will also make a new folder named "scripts".
OK, so lets say your slide show will have two "albums". In the album there are pictures of boats and other album there are pictures of sunsets. Thus, in fireworks, you will appoint the albums "boats" and "sunsets". Œuvres of fire will create the folders called "boats" and "sunsets". With other files.
So, here are the files you will end up with.
    slideshow. XML (file)
    index.html (file)
show_black.swf (this is the flash file that you install)
    boats (folder)
    sunsets (folder)
So, but many files you get depends on how many albums create you. If you have 3 albums, you will have 4 new folders (don't forget about the scripts folder)

Well, I hope you all! And now we can move on.

Below is a structure of web page file. When you place these files and folders is very important! You must place them on the same 'level' as a page you, they may not be in a subfolder on this page. Here is an example,

MyWebPage (file containing your site or your home folder.)
    |
    home page (your index page)
    .. .page images (folder)
    ... home.html
    |
    photos
    .. .page images (folder)
    ... photos.html
    |
    contact
    .. .page images (folder)
    ... contact.html

Lets say you want to put this slideshow on the "photos" page But you want to build ot a page and the slideshow is displayed as part of your page and not only as a stand-alone with nothing else about this. Here's how I did it the first time and it did not work. I will use the example above.

MyWebPage (file containing your site or your home folder.)
    |
    home page (your index page)
    .. .page images (folder)
    ... home.html
    |
    photos
    .. .page images (folder)
    ... photos.html
    .. .slide show files (folder)
    ... show_black.swf
    ... index.html
    ... slideshow.xml
    .. .boats (folder)
    .. .sunsets (folder)

    contact
    .. .page images (folder)
    ... contact.html

As you can see that the slide show files in a subfolder called slide show files. Thay are not in the same folder as the files photo.html. This causes the slideshow not working because they need in the right folder for files.
Now place the files as in the example below to drag your work.

MyWebPage (file containing your site or your home folder.)
    |
    home page (your index page)
    .. .page images (folder)
    ... home.html
    |
    photos
    .. .page images (folder)
    ... photos.html
    ... show_black.swf
    ... index.html
    ... slideshow.xml
    .. .boats (folder)
    .. .sunsets (folder)

    contact
    .. .page images (folder)
    ... contact.html

As you can see the slide show files are no longer in the sub folder. They are in the same folder as the HTML pages. I know this isn't like oganized to research, but it's the only way I found to make the slide show appear within another page. Good luck with your pages. If you need more help post here or email me and I will see if I can help.

  • How to use a dashboard slideshow animate as a background to Dreamweaver?

I want to make the House of my site with a slideshow full screen logo and the menu will be in front of her.

How can I do in the simplest? Just insert media edge lead and create a div for the rest do not work because the rest will blind along the animation.

You have asked this question before.  Edge entertainment is not intended for use as background elements. They are objects. See my response to your previous post.

  • Slideshow behind the image that vanishes when the mouse to display the slide show and fades in when mouseout/mouseouthandler() to hide the slideshow.

    Hello.

I tried and tried all day.

I even started to check the adobe edge animate to help you.

but so far I couldn t find a solution.

    Hopfully somebody can help me.

    Here´s idea:

I want to create a clean and simple website.

There should be pictures, one under the other.

When the visitor hovers over one of the images, it should disappear (fade out).

Behind this image is a slideshow in the same format.

When the cursor changes from space, the image is displayed again (fade in).

Another idea is, it's a slide show, which begins when you mouseover

and stops and shows the first picture when you mouesout the area.

There should be no button or anything.

Sounds easy, but I found no solution.

    Is there a possibility?

    Kind regards

    Jan

You can try using compositions, the active State for the triggers of otherwise fair and transparent setting for the target containers. Same thing for all.

    Thank you

  • How to add an animated slideshow created in Photoshop CS6 to the HTML file in Dreamweaver CS6?

Should what steps I follow to perform this task?  I have already completed a slideshow animated in Photoshop CS6 and registered for the Web, which produces an HTML file and a. GIF.  Everything I need to know now is how to insert the slideshow in my HTML from Dreamweaver CS6 file.  Your comments would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

It is usually best if you use Photoshop for images only.  The html code generated by graphics applications is too quick to use on the web.

In DW, insert the animated gif in your HTML page with the Insert panel.

  • How can I insert a slideshow widget on a page based on Dreamweaver templates

HI, I have a question that has been nagging me for the last three hours.

I tried to insert a slideshow into a model document by using the Insert widget feature in Dreamweaver CS 5.5.  The problem is that I contine to get the error that

"This widget requires a code that must be inserted in the header of the current document.  Insertion does not because the head of this document is read-only. »

I tried to modify the model to make the head tag into an editable region.  I tried to solve the problem by eliminating the

    <!-#BeginEditable "doctitle"-> function call and instead use the <!-InstanceBeginEditable name = "head"->

function, but all that is grey on all the code on the page that follows this function call.  Another side effect of using this method is that the documents of the child do not even have a header over.

I don't know if it's just a lack of understanding of how this works, or if there is a bug in Dreamweaver.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

The original HTML for the model in question is lower.

Build a model (not models) page.  Insert the widget there.  Copy the links/js from the head of this dummy page and manually paste in the edit box in the head of the page you want.

The problem is that the code of the widget is not smart enough to find the editable area of the model in the head as a destination and try to write code in a non-editable region.  Give him a little help with this manual procedure.
