Failed to configure additional languages Spell-Check
Hello
I'm trying to implement Catalan as language check out extra - preference - the scale of the system.
- I go to system preferences > keyboard > text and there in the spelling: drop-down menu choose "set up..." »
- Catalan is not among the languages in the list, I know, but it says: "To add an additional spelling dictionary, copy dictionary (.aff and .dic) files to the spelling folder in your library folder."
- I have enabled show hidden files in Finder and I copied the .aff and .dic files in the folder of the spelling in my library
- Catalan appears in the regional and language options in the System Prefs, but not in establishing spelling options mentioned above.
- I found some forum discussions quite old, looking for "To add an additional spelling dictionary, copy dictionary (.aff and .dic) files to the spelling folder in your library folder." (including the quotation marks) - if the comment in the System Preferences window is old and all simply not true more?
- I have:
- OS X El Capitan, 10.11.6 (15G 31)
- MacBook Pro (15 inch, late 2008)
Would appreciate any advice, thanks.
Heiko
Have you downloaded Catalan .aff and .dic files from the internet? It is necessary, they do not come with OS X.

Need help with the language Spell Checker CC more history
Hello
I have a subscription to the creative cloud and as far as I see it, all my settings are for U.K. English. However, I just started to work on a script (I'm just saying, but started hours ago) & on my second paragraph the word "color" has been highlighted to be corrected. He wants to change in English of the United States, and I looked in the settings and preferences and searched online for a solution, but am losing the will to live, lol
I signed in & out, worked offline also, but the spell checker is always in English of the United States.
Can someone please.

Addition of spell checker to Wordpad
I would like to add a spell checker to WordPad. I downloaded the English spelling of the store but cannot add this. I understand tinyspell can be added, but am not sure about this. Why doesn't the spell checker used in enamel and this message is added. Anyone had success with this problem?
That option is not available, if you need to check the spelling and grammar checking, you must install a package professional word processor such as Microsoft Office Word 2013, free Office, which includes the word processor Writer or use free Microsoft Word Web App.

How to change the selectable languages for spell checking?
Hallo community Mozzila
After using Firefox to group every night 23 on Chakra Linux via and I think it has messed up my settings speller via Firefox sync.
The problem of the pop-up on openSUSE and Chakra Linux but not in Kubuntu 12.04 (it has its own language packs).
I want to have German and English GB and maybe Bosnian or Croatian spell checker, but I cannot select via right click - languages.
Now, I have Chakra Linux and openSUSE 12.3 Firefox 20 by perhaps 30 default languages installed but I can not select the language I want. For example the Chakra Linux Firefox 20 I only selectable variants, German back Germans, German Belgium... and then, and I can't select another language via the module or about: config spellchecker.dictionary; so I need to edit the right click language selector to bring it to work, it stay alwas on a German Variant.
2 example on openSUSE cannot select German and En_GB, but I can't select a bunch of other languages, that I did not need in the click languages Selector right.
Both are Firefox 20 with openSUSE KDE changes and have installed the available spelling dictionary.
So, how can I change the list of selectable languages on the languages right click?
OK, this is now resolved.
In Chakra hunspell English was missing and on openSUSE, a seller has changed of Mozilla and now it works very well.
Sorry to the comminty boreder

Why the spell checking language setting does not match prefs.js?
I only have one profile in ~/.mozilla/firefox (default profile), and in prefs.js contains
user_pref ("spellchecker.dictionary", "en_US");
(which is correct). Despite this, about: config tells me that the language is en_AU, and this is what is used by the spell checker. I can't change to en_US in the context menu in a text field and the sticks of change until I close FF, but the next time I start FF we return to Australia despite the adjustment in prefs.js. Before or after you change the synchronization setting makes no difference. Running in safe mode makes no difference.
The value of spellchecker.dictionary must be "en-US" for the US dictionary and do not have an underscore character.
- user_pref ("spellchecker.dictionary", "en-US");
You have a user.js file in the profile folder, which can override the last setting recorded in prefs.js?

I changed language iPad in French (but not the region, which remains United Kingdom) in order to write an email in French. Everything on the iPad changed in French as expected. When I'm done I changed the language to English (UK) and everything changed in English unless the auditor keyboard and which remained in French. I then changed to English (India) but the keyboard and spell checker is in French. I have changed the language to the French and finally back to English (United Kingdom). While everything on the iPad to the language changes expected, the keyboard and spell checker will not change to French. How do go back to English?
Press the 'globe' and select English. It is the keyboard that determines the spell checker (not the language or region).
