  ??? When you save as a set of version, the original is just closed without change; This is the main reason, keeping the original unchanged. This is the version that is recorded. What boxes did you check? Maybe after a screenshot.

  There is no difference between 12 and 14 versions, except that the 14 shows default version of the 'adaptive grid' discovers instead of the "detailed" view You can switch between the two views with the shortcut Ctrl + D.   The RAID system is a failed drive so it's currentl status "degraded".  I installed two new discs and got a replacement 3rd on the way after the latest RAID driver ver. 8.9 to 8.8 for the Intel of current top technical issues site. According to the Intel site, we reported recurring and random disk failure with version 8.9, which they have not been able to reproduce in their laboratory, but say that returning to version 8.8 has solved the problem for users with this problem.

  I am running Vista Home Premium.  Windows update fails to install KB2656368 and KB2686827.  Download error code641 which seems to mean that Windows cannot identify the problem.  In the past, it was caused because the installer has been damaged.  In setting the Microsoft Support took control of my computer; Download a new installer and solved the problem.  However, it seems that there is no way of contacting Microsoft Support for them to fix the installation program.  The installation program be fixed right now.  Moreover, the tool "Fixit" said that everything is fine.

  Microsoft paid $99 for the support.  Tech uploaded a new installer.  Problem solved!

  Because I installed Windwows 8.1, using VAIO Update to install the software fails.  After that I click on install, the Vaio Update reports 'Failed installation' and "Please wait a while, and then try again."  This problem may or may not be related to Windows 8.1. I have a SVT15115CSX.

  Welcome to Windows Vista answers Forums!

  You will need to maybe reset the Windows Update components, download the Microsoft fix - it from the link and run the wizard that automatically resets the windows update components, if it does not, I recommend that reset you manually update windows components from the link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058

  These steps should solve the problem, give it a try and check if you are able to perform windows updates.

• Windows XP SP1 installs because the server is not responding

  My wife has just died so I used the restore cd provided with his old office xp emachines to get rid of all the files to give to his grandson directed.

  Today, however it will be not updated. I tried to install SP1a that fails because the server does not and SP2 that s just a txt file.

  Anyone got any ideas how I can go back to SP3 on the computer?

  If the restore CD you have to sp1, you need not sp1a or sp2.  You can go directly to sp3.  SP1a is the same as sp1, but the removal of the "Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (JVM from MS).  Microsoft released XP sp1a as part of a settlement with Sun Microsystems patent infringement (then owner of Java).

• Desktop Windows 7 does not start in windows and loops to fix the screen

  You have a problem!  HP mdl 3000mt-4 GB-150 GB hard drive-windows 7-32 bit.  These units have worked without problem for 2 years.  We have over 300 units on the line.  We have now 4 units with the same question.  This started with one and over a period of a week don't appear on other units.  At startup, units go to the window of recovery of windows and loop at startup then the window of recovery again.  We did all of the normal stuff.  1 changed all the addons - Ko / monitor / mouse.  2. change of power.  3 removed hd and replaced by unit of work known.  There are still problems.  4. place hd removed in the work unit and had no problem.  5 cards of memory removed and checked everything.  There are still problems.  6 re-created 3 separate times.  Problem remains.  7. Unit will not boot with the floppy in windows 7.  8. called HP and they sent the new motherboard.  Problem remains.  9. yet called HP and after all, they knew to test because they sent the new motherboard.  10. While you wait for the new Board of Directors, we have removed all partitions.  We were then able to load from the disk of windows 7.  Unit started several times.  Re imaged.  Re partitioned on image object.  Problem remains.  We must keep the image and it worked.  -In order to consider: we changed everything except cases, wiring and cd.  We have reinstalled the operating system.  So because of all our tests and replacement we have eliminated the virus, hardware or installion.  We have 396 of these units who work, but if it is a failure of systemmatic, we're in trouble.  We organize Sophos software on the network.  Thanks for the suggestions.

  I appreciate your time and efforts.  I don't really have.  For an update, we just finished installing the new motherboard.  It worked for about 10 minutes, then the video starts shaking and adding "ghosting".  We have checked all the connections and restarted.  It works ok now, but we'll let it run for a while.  We'll see how it holds up!  We now have a machine that dropped.  I'm really happy that we are under guarantee if we have all these tips will!  This most recent one done 5.   Thanks again!
