'Ask before deleting' Notes

I installed 9.3.2 on my iPhone and was pleased to see that Notes is seeking more sophisticated - and there are some new features such as the addition of a drawing, etc.. But I accidentally hit the button Delete and then freaked out when he simply disappeared, just like that. I realize that there is a new "Recently deleted" folder, but prior to that, he is always asked to confirm if you want to delete a note. This instant deletion of a note as soon as your finger brushes the Trash button makes me really nervous. I don't understand why they would take away a feature like confirmation before deletion, which was previously available only to avoid situations where you don't even know that you have removed a note, because there is literally no notice before it disappears just; If you are not looking at your screen you never know it happened... and then after 30 days it is gone forever. As much as there is an option to turn the option "Ask before deleting" Mail, Contacts, calendars. Can we do not have the same option for Notes? Or at least just the do each time by default, just in case. Apple, please report it.

Even if I am here, I am also disappointed that the new police force has reformatted all my notes so that the lists which have been made intentionally points of a line are now 2 lines, because the new policy takes more space; either because it is larger, or tracking or kerning is superior or something like that. Would be nice if we could adjust the font size and other options for fonts in the Notes.

Thank you

I agree with you!

    These dates are when a backup was performed automatically by Firefox, no dates when you saved bookmarks. Try to restore the backup of the day which you removed all bookmarks. It will restore the backup file-not only what you deleted, you will lose all the bookmarks you saved after the date of the file that restore you.

    Archive messages or move them to some other local mailboxes or mailboxes on the server. Don't know what you are trying to do because it appears that you have 2/3 of your hard disk.

    Why do you think archiving emails in 2 places? Where are you trying to save space to?

  • How restore/recover deleted notes (which also appears in the spotlight search)?

    OK so here's what happened, I was normally using my iPhone 5 (ios 9.3.2) so I decided to go to the notes... and then all of a sudden the notes app crashed and when I opened it again, all my NOTES DISAPPEARED. I don't know what caused this problem, but I know that my iPhone had full accumulation in time.

    But when I tried to search for deleted notes, I noticed they were still burst into the spotlight search, but every time I press it, it just opens the notes app and that's all...

    Is there anyway to restore my notes, because they are very important... Any answer would be useful (I'm desperate)

    Without a backup, my hope for you is that these notes had been managed by an email service, and most of the time, they are even if the user is not aware of this. Check that all your related email accounts work correctly on your iPhone. If you have access to a computer, it can be useful to compare what is on your iPhone for what you see in your email account on the Web site of the account. So for gmail, you would go to gmail and access notes. Yahoo, you would do the same.

    I strongly suggest you keep regular backups for situations like this. Backup your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch - Apple Support

    If your notes are managed by iCloud, you can contact Apple for support and service - Apple supported. You can then ask to speak with security accounts and request their assistance in the recovery of all notes iCloud can successfully and have been deleted somehow. A backup is not required for this synchronization service.

    I realize see your notes in the Spotlight can be a head scratcher, but Spotlight is indexed to refer to files in their original location. Think of it as these shortcuts you can do on your desktop. You click on the shortcut and it will take you to the respective application that would hold this content. In this case, it would be the notes you see is empty. Spotlight, itself, is not keep these notes.

  • Makes it harder to delete notes

    The Notes application really needs to create a "are you sure" or 'press Yes to delete' option when to delete a note. I have accidental deleted many notes when you scroll through my notes. It is too easy to delete a note, Apple needs to make it more difficult. I use the app daily notes and I can't afford to remove accidentally more notes. Please, make it happen.

    Is any way to recover the deleted notes?

    Yes, you can recover deleted notes... assuming you did the upgrade Notes when iOS 9 has been issued (or later version).

    Click simply on the ' < ' key in the upper left corner of the display of Notes.  From there, you should see a line with "recently deleted".

    As "recently deleted" area holds removed notes for 30 days.  That is why it is easier to remove notes that it was before.

  • Snapshots - how to save the State of the machine before deleting

    Hello

    We have a production VM on a cluster host ESXi5, which was taken earlier (nearly 2 years?). Of course, I want to get rid of the snapshot that he shouldn't have spent so long, and after some research, I'm pretty sure deletion will do what I want (I want to keep the virtual machine, as it is now with all the changes since the snapshot).

    However, I also want to take every possible precaution before to do this because if the changes are cancelled (i.e. if returned to the State of origin before the change), it will create a good amount of work, and I want to keep the virtual machine, as it is currently before deleting the shapshot.

    Is this possible? I read cloning will not clone the snapshot of the files themselves, but the cloned VM will contain changes since shapshot has created or will it be the VM before the snapshot? If the clone itself is a copy of the current computer running (changes since snapshot included), this could be an OK option.

    I don't think another solution could be to stop the VM and copy the VMWare real files somewhere - would this work?

    I am probably being a little cautious with this, but I'm a little nervous about snapshots and I want to make sure that I have all the bases covered... just in case...

    The virtual machine is saved so as a last resort I can restore from a backup, but I would rather avoid this path if possible.

    See you soon,.

    Tim

    This snapshot that one is associated with your virtual machine, which is 2 years old?

    what you think is right about removing it. If you just run this snapshot delete operation, it will merge delta with basic disk (since you instant is very ancient, the size of your delta is probably very much, in this case, this operation may take up very much time to complete) and resulting VM will be your last VM with all changes made after this snapshot was taken too.

    At the time of the snapshot, Deleting, you must also remember that there should be enough space available in your data store where you VM resides, if possible to reach downtime, then make the deletion of the snapshot while VM is powered off, or try opening the process during off-peak hours.

    I'm sure you might have encountered following KB already as you have done enough research on the topic

    VMware KB: Delete all snapshots and consolidate Snapshots feature FAQ

    I read cloning will not clone the snapshot of the files themselves, but the cloned VM will contain changes since shapshot has created or will it be the VM before the snapshot? If the clone itself is a copy of the current computer running (changes since snapshot included), this could be an OK option.

    Cloning will also do the job. Yes cloned VM will be for blocks of basic disk and disk from Delta and merger while then resulting VM cloning will be having only basic disc with all changes that you made after the snapshot.

    I don't think another solution could be to stop the VM and copy the VMWare real files somewhere - would this work?

    The virtual machine is saved so as a last resort I can restore from a backup, but I would rather avoid this path if possible.

    Keep copy of all the files in this virtual machine a safe, desirable for you, but at the same time if you have the frame of this virtual machine already successful backup made so nothing to worry. Your virtual machine can be restored from that successful return. If you want to test the restoration, why not restore you this virtual computer on an isolated network and not little a test for your complete satisfaction before proceeding to deletion of snapshot.

    Note: Do not operate upgraded, this will put your VM around 2 years back State at the time of the creation of the snapshot.

    It's a good thing. As long as you don't have any archives for days on standby, you probably don't have a problem.

  • Find colors before deleting?

    HI - uses INDD2 and have a mixture of EPS images and stuff copied and pasted Illo. I want to delete some of these colors and replace color swatch in the doc. Is it possible to find the "offending" images before deleting colors?

    I guess I wonder if you can find the colors in the way that you can find the fonts and images "go to." Its a book with many illustrations 180pp so just want to see what items change and I have to go to the source file to fix.

    Thanks in advance.

    If you know an object that uses one of these colours it would be to try the find/change object tab and see if ID he considers a quick test. Copy it into a new doc to very fast test - a single object to search, find, or not.

  • How to insert statements before deleting

    Hello

    Here I have a certain requirement. I need to raise the rear of a table before that its data is deleted.

    Example of

    EMP table

    If I need to delete the deptno 20 data, before deleting, I need to take back of them as INSERT queries to the UNIX machine. could guide you please do this .i have heard that this can be done by package UTL_FILE. I don't know how to implement this

    Thank you

    Try something like...

    SQL> CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE take_backup(pi_empno EMP.Empno%TYPE) IS
      2    v_file_handle UTL_FILE.file_type;
      3    v_file_name   VARCHAR2(500) := 'empbackup_' || pi_empno || '_' ||
      4                                   to_char(sysdate, 'ddmmyyyy') || '.txt';
      5    buffer        VARCHAR2(32767);
      6    emp_rec       EMP%ROWTYPE;
      7  BEGIN
      8    v_file_handle := UTL_FILE.fopen('TEST_DIR', v_file_name, 'W');
      9    buffer        := 'INSERT INTO EMP VALUES(';
     10    UTL_FILE.put_line(v_file_handle, buffer);
     11    SELECT * INTO emp_rec FROM EMP WHERE empno = pi_empno;
     12 /* Here I have NOT added all columns of the table. You should. */
     13    buffer := emp_rec.empno || ',' || '''' || emp_rec.ename || '''' || ',' ||
     14              emp_rec.deptno || ');';
     15    UTL_FILE.put_line(v_file_handle, buffer);
     16    UTL_FILE.fclose(v_file_handle);
     17  END;
     18  /

    Procedure created.

    SQL> EXECUTE take_backup(7369);

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    and the file content will be something like

    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>type C:\empbackup_7369_22092010.txt
    INSERT INTO EMP VALUES(
    7369,'SMITH',20);

    Now you can use this procedure in a trigger also according to your requirement.
