Failure of the event: Purge expired log files

Hello world

Since the last update of the TMS to version 14.2.2.

I got the following error every morning.

"The event has not ended. Details: you try to access a subdirectory that is inside a web site from a SafeLocation that does not allow access to system files web site. »

Does anyone have the same error? How can I fix it?

concerning

Jens

Hey

This could be linked to the "ftp" being civic record. For example the software (software endpoint) directory may be located outside the directory wwwTMS. This is a requirement now to have the directories accessible from the web in the folder wwwTMS. Do you store the software outside of this folder and that's the file ON WHAT TMS points?

  • Events of waiting "log file parallel write" / "log file sync", in CREATE INDEX

    Hello guys,.
    my current project I'm running a few tests of performance for oracle data guard. The question is "How LGWR SYNC transfer influence the performance of the system?"
    For the performance of the values, that I can compare I just built a normal oracle database in the first step.

    Now I perform various tests such as creating index 'broad', massive parallel inserts/validations, etc to get the marks.

    My database is an oracle 10.2.0.4 with multiplexed on AIX log files.

    I create an index on a table of "normal"... I have run "dbms_workload_repository.create_snapshot ()" before and after the CREATE INDEX for an equivalent period for the AWR report.
    Once the index is built (round about 9 GB), I made an awrrpt.sql for the AWR report.

    And now take a look at these values of the AWR
                                                                       Avg
                                                 %Time  Total Wait    wait     Waits
    Event                                 Waits  -outs    Time (s)    (ms)      /txn
    ---------------------------- -------------- ------ ----------- ------- ---------
    ......
    ......
    log file parallel write              10,019     .0         132      13      33.5
    log file sync                           293     .7           4      15       1.0
    ......
    ......
    How can it be possible?

    With regard to the documentation

    -> synchronization of log file: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/waitevents003.htm#sthref3120
    Wait Time: The wait time includes the writing of the log buffer and the post.
    -> log file parallel write: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/waitevents003.htm#sthref3104
    Wait Time: Time it takes for the I/Os to complete. Even though redo records are written in parallel, the parallel write is not complete until the last I/O is on disk.
    This was also my understanding... "log file sync" wait time should be higher than the 'parallel log writing' timeout, because of, it includes the e/s and the response time for the user's session.
    I could accept it, if the values are near each other (perhaps around 1 second about altogether)... but the difference between 132 and 4 seconds is too visible.

    Is the behavior of the log file sync/write different when you do a DOF as CREATE INDEX (maybe async... like you can influence it with COMMIT_WRITE initialization parameter?)?
    You have no idea how these values born?

    Ideas/thoughts are welcome.

    Thanks and greetings

    Ah! Yes, the agent is to collect real-time events. If no new event is written then it won't work. If you want to collect logs that have been generated before you use the importer of Log insight which was published with LI 3.3. I hope this helps!

    Thank you for your response.  It gives me a better understanding than the data stored on my computer that may be able to help me, and you have introduced me into a player.  I've posted the system log here and it includes hundreds of lines.  However I do not know how to make it visible to you.  I checked it to share and the only file that is serious is one that you brought me to download.  Although I have not found the answer to my problem, I found your advice gave me a better understanding about the tools that are available.  Maybe I'll get to understand how to use them.

  • "redo the write time" includes "log file parallel write".

    IO performance Guru Christian said in his blog:

    http://christianbilien.WordPress.com/2008/02/12/the-%E2%80%9Clog-file-sync%E2%80%9D-wait-event-is-not-always-spent-waiting-for-an-IO/

    Waiting for synchronization of log file can be divided into:
    1. the 'writing time again': this is the total elapsed time of the writing of the redo log buffer in the log during recovery (in centisecondes).
    2. the 'parallel log writing' is actually the time for the e/s of journal writing complete
    3. the LGWR may have some post processing to do, signals, then the foreground process on hold that Scripture is complete. The foreground process is finally awake upward by the dispatcher of system. This completes pending "journal of file synchronization.

    In his mind, there is no overlap between "redo write time" and "log file parallel write.

    But in the metalink 34592.1:

    Waiting for synchronization of log file may be broken down into the following:
    1 awakening LGWR if idle
    2 LGWR gathers again to be written and issue the e/s
    3. the time for the IO journal writing complete
    4 LGWR I/O post processing
    ...

    Notes on adjustment according to log file sync component breakdown above:
    Steps 2 and 3 are accumulated in the statistic "redo write time". (that is found in the SEO Title Statspack and AWR)
    Step 3 is the wait event "log file parallel write. (Note.34583.1: "log file parallel write" reference Note :) )

    MetaLink said there is overlap as "remake the writing time" include steps 2 and and "log file parallel write" don't understand step 3, so time to "log file parallel write" is only part of the time of 'redo write time. Won't the metalink note, or I missed something?
  • How can I purge transaction logs files?

    I have a transactional database (i.e., created by using the db. DB_CREATE | DB. DB_INIT_TXN | DB. DB_INIT_LOCK | DB. DB_INIT_LOG | DB. DB_INIT_MPOOL flags) which also generates a file log.0000000001 as part of its operation.

    The log file exceeds the limit of 10 MB by default recently, and I saw this error: ' Region of logging out of memory»

    While it was easy enough to fix (temporarily) by setting the variable configuration set_lg_regionmax for a larger number, is it possible to purge just the file log.0000000001 to something significantly less than 10 MB?

    In my PB, I don't have a history longer than the previous transaction, so no logging more is superfluous.

  • Question about the display of what log file mapped in LogFilter agent

    Hello

    LogFilter agent allows you to have up to 4 different log files (and paths) to match strings in the list.

    Is there a way to make a rule that kicks in when there is a match of logFilter - to have access to what filepath had the match?

    So, for example if I have;

    /path1/server.log

    /path3/server.log

    and if the rule that fires when the logFilter has a match, I would like it to show which of the 2 filepaths contained the game.

    Thank you

    "mark".

    Hi Mark,

    The default LogFilter rule creates an alarm that contains the path to the log file of the execution of the variable of severity level "text".

    This script uses "entry.get("LogName")" to extract the name of the log file, which is displayed in the Message field of alarm and the alarm dialog box as well as the text that triggered the alarm:

  • Add new data to the table in a log file

    Hi all. I am new to Oracle and I need to also write new data table in a logfile on Linux in order to live in the display screen. My first thought was to write a trigger, and after some research on googled around, I finally came to this:

    create or replace trigger foo_insert
    After Insert on foo
    for each line
    declare
    f utl_file.file_type;
    s VARCHAR2 (255);
    Start
    s: =: new.udate | '-' || : new.time | ' ' || : new.foo | ' ' || : new.bar | ' ' || : new.xyzzy | ' ' || : new.frobozz | ' ' || : new.quux | ' ' || : new.wombat;
    f: = utl_file.fopen ('BLAH_BLAH', 'current.log', ' a');
    UTL_FILE.put_line (f, s);
    UTL_FILE.fclose (f);
    end foo_insert;

    It seems properly to add new data in the log file as new inserts occur, but open and close the file each time are of course not optimal.
    In the app real new lines could have inserted every second or two. How can I optimize it? In addition, the log file will be archived and turned every day, so there must be a way to effectively report the relaxation of the oracle to reopen the case.

    Thank you!

    >
    I would like to pursue the optimization of the trigger
    >
    As Ed suggested you need to think this through a few others and refine the requirements.

    You said "I am new to Oracle. So you may not realize that anything a trigger didn't REALLY EVEN HAPPEN! The transaction can still be restored by Oracle or by the appellant. Want that all the 'hiccups' look too? If this isn't the case, then you can not use a trigger to do this. You need the process that translates the trigger being called to do logging after the data is stored.

    It should be noted that this requirement is before we can offer solutions to a problem.

    Assuming you want the trigger record all attempts change the data, then the best way I know to do that is to minimize the work does the trigger.
    Another fundamental principle is to follow the advice of the Ed and have a clear separation and distinction between "what" should be done and 'how' to do it.

    To minimize the trigger work change proposed Nicosa approach. Create an AUTONOMOUS_TRANSACTION stored procedure that handles the 'how' and just have the trigger to transfer data to the stored procedure values. The trigger provides data; He doesn't know, or care, what is done with the data.

    The stored procedure is then free to use the files, a table, write to a file or any other method is proving to be the best. You can change the methods without affecting the trigger.

    A queue or table may contain data, but again once you need to think about the obligation. Do you need fair access to data only once? Now, you want a "tail". But what happens if this requirement change tomorrow? You won't have to redesign the architecture.

    With a queue once you delete the queue data it won't here later if you want to get it again. With a table you can take as long as you want.

    I would like to start by using a table to store the data. If you use a sequence number or "insert_date" value, you can always query the data of interest. The table just collects data. He does not care how to use data.

    So, by using proven design principles and knowing that the requirements are for the most part unknown and may change unexpectedly, I would be:

    1. create an AUTONOMOUS_TRANSACTION stored procedure that accepts the parameter data and the thicket in a simple logging table.
    2. change your trigger to call the procedure to step #1
    3. create another procedure that performs a query of 'tail' for you will depend on 'insert_date' number or sequence. This query can write data to a file or return a cursor ref that your script can use to provide data for display.

    The approach described above takes each step in the process relatively independent of the other stages.

    Until put you the finishing touches to the requirements that you do not want to lock up your initial design.

    And as an additional follow-up, if you value your data, you are running in archivelog mode and take regular backups of the database and the archivelogs. If you fail to do so you are saying that your data is not worth recording.
