Fans of VN7 - 591G does not

Hello!

I own the machine as specified in the object. Unfortunately, I have problems with cooling. I'll explain what I tried and discovered.

Original problem: slow down the PC.

I have studied the issue and figured the CPU seems to be blocked to 0.78 GHz and never goes higher than. I thought that speedstepping or turbo-boost does not work properly. I thought it might be a power problem at first since this is the first point of call with automated underclocking. All this checked, max performance on everything, no problem there still plugged.

I tried the BIOs update to version 1.15, which worked!... for a short period of time. The greatest gift is that I noticed that the laptop seems much louder that originally.

Now a few days later. The old problem of CPU supported again. I did the normal checks.
CoreTemp ran against her. Inactive, it seemed to sit at about 70 degrees celcius. Natually I was flipping my * beep * at this point now, I noticed that even if the core temperature hits 80 under a test of prime95, the fans start even not at all.

So I put to you and anyone who can help me. What's wrong with this thing? I'm typing this it is idling at 60 now, but still no fans running at all.

Is it a hardware problem or issue with BIOs?

This seems to be a work more solid autour. I tested the external monitor question as 'wastedi' makes me gently in the direction. This doesn't seem to be the problem. Congratulations to him for the display of the workaround.

Here are my test results below concerning the behavior of the laptop:

Test conditions:

Laptop plugged in at all times load with 3 USB devices and an attached Audio cable.

Test 1: Portable start with monitor connected via an HDMI cable.

  • This causes the fan has failed and the CPU speedstepping failure.

  • CPU is not the clock above the lowest value of speedstep (0.78 Ghz).

  • The fans are completely insensitive regardless of temperature.

  • Call it the "State has failed.

Test 2: Computer laptop stop "has no State" with an HDMI cable connected.

  • This causes the laptop computer to shut down properly.

  • Stuck in a semi-powered state until the power is off by the power button. Remove the power supply cable has no impact there.

Test 3: Computer laptop stop of "failed State" without HDMI cable.

  • Laptop stops correctly

Test 4: Laptop startup without a monitor connected via an HDMI cable.

  • What causes fans and CPU work again properly.

  • Laptop works normally.

  • Call it "the State successful."

Test 5: Connect the HDMI cable while the laptop is initialized in a "State of success."

  • Functions of the laptop normally as expected.

Test 6: Stop cell phone "Successful State" with monitor connected via an HDMI cable.

  • Stuck in State semi-power, power cut off button market / stop is the only way to turn it off completely.

Results

It doesn't seem to be that action starting with an attached screen that causes the failed State but rather a start after a stop having failed and blocked in the semi-powered state.

Here are the steps that I have tried twice to create the failed State and managed:

  1. Completely closed state, connect a monitor via a HDMI cable.

  2. Turn on the laptop. This should start normally and should function normally.

  3. With the HDMI cable, turn off the laptop again. He should move to the State semi-powered-on where you hold the power button to turn off the laptop completely.

  • Turn on the laptop. You should now be in the failure State with fan and CPU speedstepping default.

  • Work AROUND: To get out of the failed State, unplug the HDMI cable and stop the laptop. The laptop must close normally. Restart once he is off without the HDMI cable.

    _______

I suspect the lack of people with this issue to complain on the forums here is the fact that most probably will not use a dedicated external display.

I hope that this will help all users with this issue as well as Acer speed along to produce a patch for this problem, because there is a serious bug.

    Kind regards

    Cloudeh.

    • Acer Aspire VN7 - 591G trackpad not recognized

      Hello

I am the owner of a laptop Acer Aspire VN7 - 591G Black Edition.  Today, at the start, my trackpad is more responded to my touch or clicks.  First of all, I pressed Fn + F7 to see if I had just accidentally turned off, but it wasn't the case.  I plugged an external mouse on the USB port to my laptop to navigate and once in the Device Manager, found that my trackpad is not listed under mice and other pointing devices.

In addition, under mouse properties, my trackpad does not appear.  Mouse compatible HID is the external mouse I currently use.

I'm not sure how to solve this problem.  If anyone has any ideas that could help, it would be greatly appreciated

In addition, I guess I should mention that I'm running Windows 10 months and not had any problems until today.

    • Portege M400 - system crashes, speeds fan near the top, does not start

I bought this new tablet in 2007 with Vista Ultimate. I upgraded to 2 GB of RAM a few months ago and keep up to date on the OS and antivirus updates. During the last week, the system began to hang, usually using MS OneNote but also when you navigate on the web or other applications. The computer can be either in tablet mode or laptop mode, when this happens, and it is usually on a flat and level. The grip has become more common of yesterday and today, it does not even start. Whenever it crashes, including now the fan suddenly accelerates. Every time that requires a difficult stop - I hold the power button for 5-7 seconds. Whenever it starts after the hanging, he asks to go through safe mode. The last time he asked to open the Windows repair.

I guess I'll have to send in for service. After reading some other posts, I noticed that others have experienced similar problems and I was wondering if someone had succeeded in solving them?

      Thank you.

You said you did a RAM upgrade these computers portable behavior can be caused by RAM memory modules defective too.

      Love all: _
You should also check if your laptop temperature is not too high.
In many cases if the temperature is too high the Windows OS on the laptop crashes and freezes.
I think after a long period of use, the vents may be blocked and this would prevent air from traffic and internal parts would not be properly cooled.

I clean my fans and cooling grids from time to time with a jet of compressed air. In this case, you could get rid of the dust and debris that is mainly responsible for these issues

    • Problems with Acer Aspire VN7 - 591G. Not enough memory to update to windows 10

Hi, I have trouble upgrading to Windows 10. End of 2015 Aspire VN7 591G.

My C drive seems to be complete, but I only have Windows 8.1 saved in this folder. Try to upgrade to Windows 10 hours (connection terrible broadband) before finally quitting and the message "not enough space on the destination drive. I am totally confused and frustrated - C drive has only 8.33 GB free of 44.7 GB. I have just installed Windows 8.1, I deleted all the bloatware and other programs/applications irrational yet it seems fair to decrease on a daily basis. I already had to do a clean install, as drive C became complete.

All the solutions in terms of 'dummy' simple? Thank you

First of all, do not forget to create recovery media, then you can always go back to stock windows OS installation.

      http://Acer--UK.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/26286/~/create-a-Acer-factory-default-backup-in...

Since you have a slow connection, I suggest that allows you to create a bootable media using download from microsoft also, so you don't need to download windows 10 update each time.

      read here:

      http://community.Acer.com/T5/knowledge-base/Windows-10-installation-recovery-media-creation-and-use/...

a 8 GB USB flash drive is necessary

I suggest you do a cleaning of the HARD drive too, probably, you have files of windows upgrade spare failed 10:

      Windows logo key
      type
      Disk Cleanup
      Click Disk Cleanup
Click on clean up system files
      Let scanner
then check the files you want to delete, it is safe to do so
in the end, press ok and let it wipe the HARD drive for you

After disk cleanup, check to see if the 10 windows temporary folders are still there:

    • VN7 791G - does not start the Windows operating system

So I got my Acer VN7 - 791 G for 5 months now and until last month, everything was going fine until suddenly, the system has become VERY slow (operating system and programs have been suspended) and the boot process has long redicilously. To exclude a software problem, that I decided to restore the default computer via Acer recovery, hoping that would solve the problem.

Unfortuantely it's still very slow after a successful reset and all of a sudden one day after a reboot the system decided he did not want to join the opening scene of session windows more and decided to stay on the loading screen Acer or the loading screen 'Prepare auto repair' Acer.

I decided to leave the system to run to see if it would eventually reach the opening of windows session, but he never did and she now does is continue to stay on the Acer loading screen or gives me a black screen with the mouse pointer (nothing happens if I have nothing at this point (, or if I leave it running). Same thing happens when I try to press Alt + F10, it's just a black screen.

As it is still under warranty, I intend to ship to the Acer Service, however I read some bad reviews before I do I wanted to see if:

      (a) someone has had the above question on their model, and
      (b) are the comments that I've read about Infoteam Acer repairs without merit?

      Thank you very much.

Sounds like your hard drive is broken.

    • Fans of Lenovo G770 does not

Unlike those other problems here my fans seem to simply not work more or something. I have switchable graphics with an integrated Intel processor and an AMD 1 GB dedicated graphics card. When I go to 'High Performance' my lap top is so hot, about 91 degrees Celsius. But when I go to save a little cooler stays. The thing is that I can't even hear my fans most of the time. While playing SC2, a few times I heard the fan turns off (quite loud) and she cooled my computer really fast. But most of the time it accumulates the temperature just and is choppy as hell. I don't remember it is bad at the beginning, but it seems that he has some kind of problem now.

Pleae help, I will try to download the latest drivers now, but I think I already did.

Because it's done then contact technical support to obtain the verified material.

      Please someone help me!

Hello again acidburn. I did a little research and according to this site which Hardware ID refers to the "card of Bluetooth of Broadcom 20702."

Another search was this driver for this chipset. It is not listed as being to a specific cell, but you should give it a try.

Install the driver I've listed above and let me know if it installs correctly bluetooth driver and he gets rid of this "unknown device".

    • E540: Fan does not stop

      Hello Board and support team!

The fan in my e540 does not stop once it began to turn. It is completely independent of the system temperature. Even if the room temperature and the cpu is less than 40 * C the fan will not stop.

The fan does not always turn, however. If I wake up the system from sleep mode or turn it on, the fan does not turn and will not start spinning until a certain threshold temperature is reached. This part of the fan control works correctly.

Interesting procedure: I work until the heating system and the fan starts. I waint until the system is cooled below 40 * C (checked with software speccy, the flow of air leaving the laptop is cold). The fan is still running at this stage and will turn probably forever. I suspend the laptop (no full stop not required). I immediatally 'wake up' the laptop (temperature of the system has not changed, no time to cool). The fan is off again and will not start turning until the temperature threshold is reached.

What can I do to fix this? I don't always want to suspend my laptop to turn off the fan. She has to stop on its own.

    • HP elitebook 8560w: (error 90 b) cooling fan does not

      Hi all

I have a problem with my cooling fan. Some time ago I got the error of 90 b, and after you open the laptop, I discovered the fan was not properly spinning (my warranty has already expired). I ordered a replacement radiator and a fan online, and yesterday I replaced the old. Unfortunately, I still have the error and the fan has not yet run. I have advanced and did some more research.

I hooked old and new fans to a 5V DC source. Conclusion: the old fan indeed did not work, but the new fan DOES not work. Also I made the fan connector is connected correctly. This brings me to my question for you guys, what could be the cause of my fan doesn't turn does not correctly?

      In a few words all:

      -Fan doesn't spin

-The fan which is the version currently operate when connected to an external 5V source

      -Fan is properly connected

-The search for the cause of the problem and a way to fix (if all goes well, without having to buy a new motherboard)

I hope someone can help me!

      Kind regards

      Mike

Now I solved this problem myself. After much research I discovered that this error can be caused by several problems:

-Something impedes the fan to run properly

      -The fan itself is broken

-The motherboard fan connector is broken

For me, the last of them was the case. I fixed that by disassemble the laptop and in rewiring the fan as it is powered by my disc drive. It is not a practical solution because my fan always runs at maximum power now, but it does the job.

I hope that this post is useful to someone.

    • Laptop HP 630: computer laptop fan does not increase speed

I had problems of heating very wrong with my pc it would tend to turn off all the tkme when it overheats, I decided to blow into the fan and dust came out. He continued to work perfectly until last night where he continued to heat up, I checked on the Internet and I found I just had to clean the fan, that's why I opened my laptop this morning and cleaned the fan. But now the fan does not accelerate if the temperature is high before her and make a horrible noise, now the fan is on, but does not change its speed when the cpu heats up! I tried a lot of freeware that increases the speed of the fan but the fan cannot be detected, but the fan is always on and idle. I opened the laptop 3 times to check if everything is connected and they are, but what could be the problem? Please help my laptop is my life right now.

Yes I used to blow from the outside, it is very help full. I took it to get it fixed but the guy could not fix it, so he said he has tried to change the CPU and RAM, but nothing happened so I gave up. I just got my Satellite Pro C660D back from repair (for a faulty fan), but the screen does not light when I start the laptop.

She lights up on the front (and I can rotate the block number power sp that the keyboard works).
      Any ideas?

I agree, I mean the laptop should work just fine after it has been fixed by ASP so I think that something was not right here and the technician must check this!

Once to get the start screen flashes and then after the second time the system fills his departure upward and I see the logo of password.

The boot process will not end until I have go through this rigmarole and rest on a black screen with the fan working away in the background, no matter how long I leave it.

    • Vista does not recognize video card

I recently moved, and after I put my computer my monitor is not a signal. I plugged my monitor on the main port and it came. My computer does not recognize the card in the Device Manager. I opened it and inspected the map for all the Visual problems and plugged it upward and noticed that the fan on the graphics card not working. I then did a full restore of the system, reinstalled the installation CD supplied with the card after you disable the onboard and restarted my computer. Still does not recognize the card and after restarting it on my integrated card. Then, I went into the BIOS and selected PCI-E as my first. So... im out of ideas here, if the fan is still ongoing is not the card still work? I don't have another office to plug it in. Is there another way to know if the card works? Why it can't recognize the graphics card which was working fine before the move? On a side note, the computer was unplugged for 2 weeks during this time, but I don't know why this could be a problem.

      IM using Vista 32 bit.

      Hi Myriam.
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers forum
If the fan on the card does not is an indicator that the card is not powered, so the only way to test it is to plug it into another machine to see if the motherboard is not giving power or is the card that is bad. You can also try to plug a PCI-E device and see if it has power.

You have all the cables connected directly from the power supply to the graphics card?
