Fast refresh in Oracle Lite Consolidator API

Hello

We have the elements of publication with the option "Refresh complete".

Now, we want to change this option for 'Fast Refresh'.

I was looking at the API, and the only function that allows me to change is "recreatePublicationItem".

There is another function?

Kind regards.

To check if recreatepublicationitem will work without los data, follow these steps IN the TEST ENVIRONMENT
1) select in the table C mobileadmin repository $ ALL_PUBLICATIONS whose NAME = the name of PI (or STORE = the name of the table) - this will tell you the ID for the publishing point and also the VALUE of the element
(2) use the consolidatormanager ReCreatePublicationItem method, NAME being the name of the option (not the table name) publication, VALUE = F - NOTE, you can edit the SQL code as well. Looks like you already tried this before, but looking to see the effects
(3) repeat 1 request. If the VALUE became F and ID does not change, then you should be able to handle customers. If the code has changed (I think it may well do), then you will need planning recovery of customer data as data synchronization is lost.
(4) if the ID is unchanged at 3, then make sure you have tables CMP$ in the schema repository mobileadmin and CLG tables $

, CVR$
and triggers on the base table in the schema of the main application. If these are not all there, change will not work correctly
(5) worth of tables ALL_SUBSCRIPTIONS C$ and C$ ALL_CLIENT_ITEMS for one of your users, to ensure they are instantiated correcly and IP

If the id of the table changed in step 3, then the ONLY option you have is to
(a) ensure that all client devices run MSYNC twice on short
(b) launch the ReCreatePublicationItem or (since it does not reach what you want) can be simpler to run DropPublicationItem and CreatePublicationItem because they are easier to manage.
(c) get to the customers of MSYNC again to update the client database and load data (first use even if marked as fast refresh will do a complete refresh of the issue of the publication)

    So, the answer is Yes, we can use Pivot with Materialized view but:
    1 MV must be full refresh.
    2 oracle version should be 11 g; of course the pivot is available in Oracle 11 g.

  • Oracle Lite application test strategy

    I would like to ask, if there is no specific strategies to test an application offline created with Oracle database lite. What type of procedure to follow to test an offline application?

    Thank you
    Kapil

    According to our experience, the elements of the test are
    (1) contained data on the client
    Test a number of clients (different settings to create a subset of data), built to confirm that all the expected data are picked up and sent to the client for each. Doing so on the basis of own versions removes all vaiables
    (2) replication of
    series of tests to confirm that all changes made on the server is replicated to the right customers (check inserts, updates and deletions - especially test all selections based on ranges of dates, calculated values such as updating content for elements of the view function and features.)
    Series of tests to confirm that all changes on the clients are uploaded and handled correcly
    (3) performance
    Assuming you are using points to fast refresh, check the PGM compose the timings of process for each element of the publication and issues all take a lot of time and investigate consperf tuning / using. If there are Articles to publication download a lot of data, especially if it is full refresh data tables Ref, look at this change as the download and processing time will be affected
    (4) hours of MGP
    related to appearance above what the cycle time will be when you have the full number of uisers because this can affect your performance. A few Articles in the Publication takes some time by the user, which gives 3 minutes time cycle by user will be ramp 5 hours if you have 300 users!

    Hello Tom,

    listagg() is not supported for fast refresh.

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/server.112/e25554/basicmv.htm#i1007028

    Only SUM, COUNT, AVG, STDDEV, VARIANCE, MIN and MAX are supported to fast refresh.

  • Fast refresh view Matt

    Hi all

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B19306_01/server.102/b14223/basicmv.htm#i1006519

    Fast refresh for a materialized view containing joins and aggregates is possible after any type of DML for the base tables (direct load or conventional INSERT , UPDATE , or DELETE ). It can be set to refresh ON COMMIT or ON DEMAND . A REFRESH ON COMMIT materialized view will be updated automatically when a transaction that is DML to one of the details of the materialized view commits tables. The time required to perform the validation may be slightly longer than usual when this method is selected. This is because the refresh operation is performed as part of the validation process. Therefore, this method may not be suitable if many users at the same time change the tables on which is based the materialized view.

    1. I got this quote from the above link.

    What is the refresh option by default when I use REFRESH QUICKLY? My example:

    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW REFRESH QUICKLY ENABLE QUERY REWRITE AS mat_vw_test

    SELECT *.

    OF vw_test;

    2 using the example 8-1 1 example: creating a materialized from the link view.

    Product_sales_mv CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW

    REFRESH QUICKLY

    ACTIVATE THE QUERY REWRITING

    Did YOU SELECT p.prod_name, SUM (s.amount_sold) AS dollar_sales,

    Count (*) AS cnt, COUNT (s.amount_sold) AS cnt_amt

    S SALES, products p

    WHERE s.prod_id = p.prod_id GROUP BY p.prod_name;

    View of the mat will not be updated after a user execute INSERT, UPDATE, or UPDATE. fix?

    How can I update the matte view after a DML statement is executed?

    With the help of Oracle 11 g Release 11.2.0.4.0

    Thanks in advance.

    It was missing an index for a column in one of my big table.

    Thanks for your help.

  • How to fast refresh materialized view parallel

    We have Oracle 11.2.0.1 on Redhat 5.2. We use a dozen views fast refresh materialized in our application.
    Occasionally refresh MV takes longer than the refresh interval.

    One of the ways to improve the performance of refresh MV is to update at the same time, for example
    http://www.dba-oracle.com/t_materialized_views_refreshing_performance.htm

    - Use parallel DML - Oracle author Michael Armstrong Smith notes "I've done parallel materialized view refreshing
     on tables recently and improved the load times considerably. Rather than having one load which took 2 hours,
     I run 4 parallel loads, one for each partition. The length of time for the whole process is now determined by
     how long the biggest partition takes to load. In my case, this is 40 minutes, with two 30 minute loads and one
     20 minute load.  Overall I am saving 1 hour 20 minutes. I can now add further partitions and do the same thing.
     My only limitation is the parallel loads because I don't have unlimited processing power.
    {code} My master tables are not partitioned, but think parallel will still better than non-parallel.

    Now the question, how to make refresh parallel. According to the paragraph cited above, Use parallel DML appears doing the job. Can someone  confirm that.

    We use {code}
    alter materialied view MV_OFFENSE parallel REFRESH FAST start with sysdate next sysdate+ 1/24;
    {code}to schedule refresh. Does the parallel clause here parallels query the MV or refresh the MV?

    Any other way to make MV refresh parallel?

    Thanks

    Could someone explain why the the SELECT/UPDATE/DELETE on MLOG$ _ACTION if 'expensive' when it should be only 2 rows (the old value and the new value) in this newspaper after an update? I could do to improve the performance of the update?

    Let me know if you need more info... would be happy to provide.

    My guess would be that you were once a very large transaction that inserted a large number of rows in this table. So the table segment is big enough now and the high watermark is average at the end of this segment, causing a full scan table to analyze a large number of empty blocks and retrieve the two lines.

    You can issue a truncation on this table of $ MLOG: which would free up the empty blocks and brings back the high-watermark in the first block.

  • From Oracle Lite, need help

    Hello world

    I have an application written in Java that connects to an Oracle 10g server and I want to use the same application on netbooks devices under WinXP. These devices use the application offline and then will synchronize with the DB.

    As far as I know, I need Oracle Lite database on mobile devices to get snapshots of database and track changes made in offline mode. I want to know if I need to install the Mobile Server to manage the synchronization of data between the mobile devices and DB.

    What I have to develop a web - app to manage the synchronization of the data, or there is an easier way to sinchronize in this case using only the desktop application?

    Thanks in advance for your help and sorry for my bad English.

    You want to watch the Win32 applications. There are the API in several programming languages which use the Sync Lite Oracle API to synchronize, or you can simply use the mSync.

  • The Materialized View - ORA-12052: is unable to fast refresh materialized view

    Hello

    I was hitting my head all day trying to create materialized views. I have made some progress, but have hit a brick wall, unfortunately!

    Basically, I have been invited to take a view and see if I can get the benefits of performance by transforming all or part of it in materialized views. Because the underlying tables of the config is updated quite frequently, I want to fast refresh materialized views on commit. However, when I try to create a materialized view containing an outer join in an aggregated materialized view table, I get ORA-12052: is unable to fast refresh materialized view.

    I went through the documentation and also Rob van Wijkvery useful series of blogs on the topic (especially http://rwijk.blogspot.co.uk/2009/09/fast-refreshable-materialized-view.html) but have not found anything that matches. Maybe I missed something somewhere along the line, or maybe I'm asking just something completely impossible?

    My db is 11.2.0.2.

    Here's the test scripts, I've worked with that:

  • Failed to create the fast refresh on the materialized view

    Hi, I am creating a materialized on the tables with fast refresh view on commit but I get an error message.

    I have created the following logs:

    Bonus CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW LOG ON
    Users TABLESPACE
    WITH THE PRIMARY KEY
    INCLUDING THE NEW VALUES

    Used to CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW LOG ON
    Users TABLESPACE
    WITH THE PRIMARY KEY
    INCLUDING THE NEW VALUES

    I then try to create the following:

    Test.BAM CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW

    IMMEDIATE CONSTRUCTION
    COOL OFF QUICKLY ON COMMIT
    AS
    SELECT a.dept_no, SUM (a.salary)
    EMPLOYEE a, b bonus
    WHERE a.employee_id = b.employee_id
    GROUP BY dept_no

    When I do that, I get the following error:

    . ORA-12032: cannot use column rowid of materialized

    view log on 'test '. "" BONUS ".

    If I change to a full refresh, it works pretty well. If I create a MV with a fast refresh on a query just within the limits of the table bonus it also works very well, for example ' select * bonus where employee_id = 2'

    What I am doing wrong? Also when looking at the notes for MV connects in some places, he said using the primary key and others, he says to the sequence of use and row_id. Which is correct and what difference does it make?

    11.2 aix.

    Thank you very much

    I suggest that investigate you the reason why your MV is not quickly updatable with the following method:

    (1) create MV_CAPABILITIES_TABLE with @?/rdbms/admin/utlxmv.sql

    (2) exec ('BAM') dbms_mview.explain_mview

    3)

    column format a100 msgtxt

    column related_text format a20

    SELECT the possible, capability_name, related_text,

    msgtxt

    OF mv_capabilities_table;

    That should tell you the reason why he isn't yet quickly updatable.

    There was a popular quote on men and fishing, but I don't remember it for now :-)

    Kind regards

  • Fast refresh of a materialized view works incorrect

    Hi all

    I created a MV using the sql below:

    create a materialized view WLS

    Refresh quickly

    activate the query rewriting

    as

    SELECT Employees.USER_NAME,

    Permissions.ROLE_NAME,

    Vouchers.VOUCHER_ID,

    EmployeeRoles.FROM_DATE,

    EmployeeRoles.TO_DATE,

    VoucherPatterns.rowid ACC_VOUCHER_PATTERNS_ROW_ID,

    Vouchers.ROWID ACC_VOUCHERS_ROW_ID,

    Ledgers.ROWID ACC_LEDGERS_ROW_ID,

    Employees.ROWID BANK_EMPLOYEES_ROW_ID,

    IncExcUnits.rowid INC_EXC_UNITS_ROW_ID,

    EmployeeRoles.rowid BANK_EMPLOYEE_ROLES_ROW_ID,

    ParentRoles.rowid PARENT_ROLES_ROW_ID,

    Roles.ROWID ROLES_ROW_ID,

    Permissions.ROWID PERMISSIONS_ROLES_ROW_ID,

    RolesMemberships.rowid ROLES_MEMBERSHIPS_ROW_ID

    OF ACC_VOUCHER_PATTERNS VoucherPatterns,.

    Good ACC_VOUCHERS,

    ACC_LEDGERS books,

    BANK_EMPLOYEES employees,

    BANK_EMPLOYEE_INC_EXC_UNITS IncExcUnits,

    BANK_EMPLOYEE_ROLES EmployeeRoles,

    ParentRoles ROLES,

    Roles,

    Permissions of ROLES,

    ROLES_MEMBERSHIPS RolesMemberships

    WHERE Vouchers.TYPE_VOUCHER_PATTERN_FK =

    VoucherPatterns.VOUCHER_PATTERN_ID

    AND VoucherPatterns.CONFIRM_COUNT = 2

    AND Vouchers.STATE = 'UIS.

    AND Vouchers.LEDGER_FK = Ledgers.LEDGER_ID

    AND Employees.ID = IncExcUnits.BKEM_ID (+)

    AND (((IncExcUnits.INC_EXCLUD_TYPE EST NULL ou))

    IncExcUnits.INC_EXCLUD_TYPE! = "EXC") AND

    Ledgers.ORGANIZATION_UNIT_FK = Employees.ORGU_ID) OR

    (Ledgers.ORGANIZATION_UNIT_FK = IncExcUnits.ORGU_ID AND)

    IncExcUnits.INC_EXCLUD_TYPE = 'INC'))

    AND EmployeeRoles.BKEM_ID = Employees.ID

    AND ParentRoles.ID = EmployeeRoles.ROLS_ID

    AND ParentRoles.IS_PERMISSION = n

    AND ParentRoles.ROLE_TYPE = 'ORG '.

    AND ParentRoles.ID = Roles.ROLS_ID

    AND Roles.IS_PERMISSION = n

    AND Roles.ROLE_TYPE = 'SYS '.

    AND Permissions.IS_PERMISSION = 'Y '.

    AND Permissions.ROLE_NAME = 'ACC_AccVoucherConfirm. '

    AND Roles.ID = RolesMemberships.ROLS_ID

    AND Permissions.ID = RolesMemberships.ROLS_ID_MEMBER_OF;

    Then I issued a SELECT statement * although it and that works very well.

    And then I manipulated the data in tables such as, according to the clause WHERE MV, it should return no rows.

    Intuitively it will return the last data placed on it, before updating the MV

    But it returns the same data after issuing the following command in PL/SQL Developer:

    Call dbms_mview.refresh ("list = > ' WLS", method = > 'F');

    And unfortunately what follows will fix:

    Call dbms_mview.refresh ("list = > ' WLS", method = > "C");

    Why the Quick cooling of a refreshable quick MV works fine when its full refresh works well?

    How ever after that defeat made changes to tables and deliver the fast refresh using the following command the MV will contain accurate updated data:

    Call dbms_mview.refresh ("list = > ' WLS", method = > 'F');

    It seems that there is bug in clear lines of Fast refreshable MV but upserts work very well.

    I tried to simulate the problem to a simple query with simple tables with sample data, but those who have no problem.

    Please help me,

    Thank you

    And the solution is simple,

    Just avoid using the OR condition described in the WHERE clause and use UNION ALL instead!

    Don't forget that you have a calculated column of unique Creator for each of your unions.

    Thanks to myself!

  • Materialized view conducive to fast refresh method

    In AWM when I select refresh FASTER method and select the materialized view, get the error below:
    "Quick Refresh method requires the materialized view logs and a complete refresh previously run the MV cube." I need this fast a cube materialized view refresh, so that it performs an incremental refresh and re-aggregation of only the changed lines in the source table.
    can someone help me on this?

    Remember to choose the 'Force' that runs fast if possible update, as otherwise it performs a complete refresh. You can also specify Complete as the Refresh method in the dialog box Assistant Maintenance first, you keep the cube.

    You'll need create materialized on all the base tables, view logs if you have not already done so, otherwise the cube will be able to do a fast refresh (differential).

  • Oracle lite Java command to delete a device

    I want to know if there is a java method to drop a device repository Oracle lite. I don't find in the java doc. If this method does not exist, perhaps I could remove device in the repository tables? Is that someone did this before?

    Thank you
    Simon

    is this what you need?

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E12095_01/doc.10303/e12090/oracledb.htm#BCGGBGGC
    3.1 removal of a Client device

    If you want to remove a device, use the device class delete method. To retrieve the device object, use the getDeviceByName or getDevice, as shown below.

    If the device id is available, the following can be used:

    If (oracle.lite.resource.ResourceManager.getInstance () is nothing)
    oracle.lite.resource.ResourceManager.initialize (JDBC_URL, USER, PASSWORD);

    oracle.lite.resource.Device = d
    oracle.lite.resource.ResourceManager.getInstance () .getDevice (deviceId);

    d.Delete ();

    If the device id is not available, you can provide the name of the device, which is shown on the Mobile Manager UI in the oracle.lite.resource.User.getDeviceByName (deviceName) method. Once retrieved, use the method delete of the device object as shown above.
