  Thanks for posting. It seems that there is a problem with your system Web server of NOR. System OR web server is a service that launches startup which opens the TCP/IP ports to communicate with other applications of NOR, namely the NI LabVIEW example Finder. If LabVIEW can not start NEITHER System Web Server, you can also have problems with other programs OR associated with LabVIEW measurement and Automation Explorer.

  To check if you can start the click OR Web Service system on start > run... then type "services.msc". Here scroll NI System Web Server, right click and select 'start '.

  If it does not try to disable the Windows Firewall and restart the Web server in the system EITHER.

• What savings attached to an e-mail is no longer select from a whole list of Favorites Finder

  before the upgrade to El Capitan, could choose one of the options to save the location displayed in the mail, then before you click on save, return to the drop-down selection list and all folders in my Finder Favorites would be available as a backup location. now don't get the choice of my hard drive or a random location like desktop, Documents, or music.  y at - it a setting that I have not found?

  It sounds like you see the Tablet/simplified record dialog box. Just click on the triangle next to the file name field to expand the dialog box to display the full tree.

  

• Max and min to find examples of data

  I'm discerning the max and min of cycle data values. We have about 20 data points for each cycle and I need make the max and min out of it. I tried to write a script for this but it takes way to long to run. Do not complete our largest files (over 1 million points of data) with my script and DIAdem crash.  I also tried the peak built by finding functions, but they come with data points that are not max or min. Here is my script below:

  just in case you are using a newer version of DIAdem, here is an alternative solution.

  Also, I used your example file and it concatenated 50 times to create a file which has about 560,000 values in each channel.

  I run your script from a new one to get a reference number

  Sample file

  Original screenplay: 2.5 seconds

  Optimized script: 0.2 seconds

  50 x example file

  Original screenplay: 111,493 seconds

  Optimized script: 0.25 seconds

  I have to admit that I've sorted the concatenated file. This way I have 216 cycle segments to be analyzed. If I simple concatenate files (without sorting) I get 50 x the number of segments and the new script takes about 9 seconds to execute. The original script doesn't work properly like you woul then have to repeat the cycle count numbers in different areas of the channel...

  I find several examples for image capture (Snap, Grab, etc.) written for vb6 and c++, but not one example using vbnet. Am I missing something?

  .NET examples come with our vision acquisition software, but you must specify that you want the samples installed during installation.  Usually this option is automatically selected if the installer can see that you have already installed the development environment.  In order to install the NOR-IMAQdx and other examples of image acquisition driver, you will have to repair/installation of the software, then select examples to install.  First you must go to the Windows Control Panel-> programs and features:

  

  Then select National Instrumenst software the click "uninstall/change".  The following window should appear.

  Select this option to install the examples in .NET languages support.  Once the samples are installed, they should be located under:

  Start > programs > National Instruments > Vision > textual examples > NOR-IMAQdx > dotNET examples

  But in my version, there is no file examples\analysis.

  This link is LabVIEW 2011.  One of the best features of 2013 was a complete redesign of all the examples! Look here \examples\Signal Processing\Signal generation directory

• 2 error while finding examples

  Whenever I try to go to 'Help-> examples find' on my copy of labview 8.5 running on Windows XP SP3, I get the error in the screenshot.  I have no GPIB devices, the error remains after a re-start with labview to be the only program running.

  It's not a huge deal, but it would be nice if the browser of the example worked at home.  No problems with it at work.

  Your error message provides the (Exec System) function and the full path to the exe file, it tries to run. Have you looked for the file? Have you tried to use the system exec to do the same thing?

  I'm fighting to make my Captivate content really look great.  I mean, it works and it's OK, but I'd love to see some examples of other content that shows the tool to its maximum potential, especially with regard to interactivity.

• USB-6501 - impossible to find a basic example of Labview

  I recently bought a USB-6501 card and I used it in my own succesfully end and C++ programs using the DAQmx drivers.

  Then I tried to move to Labview 2009 (I never used Labview) so I looked for a simple example.

  I tried to boot from the example 'interactive Control Panel' (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/AF0F31EE5D2AD23F862573140009D7C2?OpenDocument).

  I had to install the 'DAQmx Base' for him to start, as described in the previous link. now it begins (before Labview attempted to get a few missing .vi) but I get a message "error 200220 occurred at an unidentified locatio.

  Then I realized this example is 'old' (as explained here: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&thread.id=209247), and it is suggested to look for a new one in example Finder ' entry-level equipment / output-> DAQmx-> Digital measurement (or generation)-> read Dig Port.VI.

  I tried, but along the way ' entry-level equipment / output-> DAQmx-> "only a folder named"Analog Measurement\Voltage"exists.

  Also in the search for 'Reading dig Port.VI' does not work.

  I've already spent many hours in this research and tent and the fact that I am not able to find not even a basic example, it is quite frustrating and it is making me give up the idea of using Labview.

  First, install DAQmx Base was a mistake. Uninstall it and then install the Driver-OR-DAQmx. The driver must be installed after the installation of LabVIEW. After installation, make sure that the device is listed in MAX under "DAQmx devices. If it is not, your installation is still not correct.

  To search for example LabVIEW, see help > find examples. Under Input and Output hardware > DAQmx, you will find the digital generation and numerical measures. You have to look at the simple, timed software examples such as read write dig Chan, writing Port to dig, dig chan, reading Dig Port. You also have the option to use the DAQ Assistant.

  Just make sure that when you installed the driver, you have also installed the Application Development Enviroment Support for LabWindows CVI, otherwise the examples will not be there.
