  If you save your picture in jpeg format, you cannot have transparency. The jpeg format simply doesn't support transparency. You must save in .png, .psd, .tiff formats.

  Note that the layer "background" in the layers palette must be transformed into a 'standard' layer to keep the transparency. Menu layer > New > layer.

  Before you try to print in PDF format, you must make sure that Acrobat is an appropriate license.

  Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

  Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

  Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

  I am running CS on a Mac OS 10.8.5 6. Suddenly a thin film of color appears in the transparent background area. Here is my method:

  In the physical world, I create a watercolor character

  I scan the image

  Open the image in Photoshop

  Make a copy of the background layer so I can work on it

  I using the magic wand tool select the entire white area that surrounds the image, then delete

  I make the inactive background layer by clicking on the eye on the left of the bottom

  I add layers of vibrance, hue and saturation etc. to my copy of the background image

  Now, without nothing showing on the screen but my watercolor silhouette and the checkerboard background naked, I print the image

  and lo, there is a duplication of colors covering the background area around, as if, perhaps, the hue and saturation were applied to the transparent background

  Using a workaround solution, I tried to carry on a completely fresh Photoshop document image and empty brand new. For about a week, it worked, and there was no ghosting effect, i.e., the background was simply white - that is all I wanted.   YES!  I realized that I was using colorimetric absolute intention to instead of colorometric Relative or perceptual or saturation.  anything BUT absolute colorimetric works correctly

  This 3 year printer seemed to install OK when I it connected via a wireless modem/router.

  My turn and Lap Top printed ok for months. They use Windows 7 64-bit.

  Recently when the printer was left off for a few days all its lights started to blink.

  If I disconnect and reconnect it the power and cable modem/router, the printer works ok again until it is turned off.

  The lights will start to Flash.  Also, I'm getting 2 error messages on blue screen when the power is off and the lights are flashing...

  Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

  You can use a custom validation script, something like:

  To put this into effect, you will need to make a different choice and place it back to "choose." Another option would be to place as a custom Format script.
