FCPX 'turns' MP4-XAVC-S in. MOV on import
Hello
I tried to import some media (recorded on a Sony a6000) XAVC-S in the final cut when I noticed something odd.
If I import media directly from the map, FCPX "turns" the media in. MOV files. If, on the other hand, I move MP4 XAVC-S (only the.) MP4 and not the. XML files) then it is important as long as not MOV and MP4. Anyone know what is happening and what is recommend it import method (for better quality)?
In both cases I chose "copy to library" and has not chosen any transcoding, analyzes the keywords or audio/video.
I'm working on FCPX 10.2.3.
This is the correct behavior. When you import from the map, or better out of an archive of the camera, the media are re-tensioned for QuickTime. That's what you need to do. Do not use the MPEG-4 files.

S - log2 *.mp4 transcoded to Prores mov becomes underexposed
Hello
I recently shot back footage on profile PP7 (S-Log2) on the A7S2.
The *.mp4 file seems properly exposed, however when I transcode the file to Prores422 HQ in catalyst prepare files become very underexposed. It does occur with images shot in S-Log2 my other images shot in profile that PP2 daytime shows no offset exposure.
I experimented by selecting Rec709 vs S-Log2 as the color space of output, but there is no difference.
Certain files of information that might be useful:
MEDIA
Format - S XAVC
VIDEO
Codec - Long STROKE
Profile and level - [email protected]
Sampling YCbCr 4:2:0 8 bit color
ACQUISITION OF METADATA
Registration - Normal mode
Cache rec - No.
Capture gamma - S-Log2 equation
Appreciate any help that anyone can be.
See you soon
Hi Tim,.
Thank you for providing the images! I think I've identified the problem. The issue seems to occur because of the ISO setting max to catalyst to prepare ISO 10000. It seems that both provided clips go much higher than that. One is 20000, and the other is 25600. Because the preparation is not able to match a high ISO setting, it is failing to 800 and appearing so much darker. If you increase the ISO bar up to 10000, it will start more correspond to the original item. You can then use the tone curve to trigger even more exposure to the best match to the original.
In the meantime, I'll check with our engineers to see what we can do to solve this problem.
I'll let you know as soon as possible what we are facing.
Thank you Tim!

The mouse pointer turns into a pointer to 'move' for no reason
I have been using a new laptop for a few months now. All of a sudden the mouse began to change at random from the standard windows arrow pointer, a pointer to 'move' - this is a pointer with 4 arrows pointing outward.
The change seems to occur in any specific situation. Sometimes the pointer turns back on its own, but usually I have to go into the control panel and accept the default settings of the mouse again to retrieve the pointer of the mouse to normal. The change to the pointer 'move' is not in the Control Panel mouse - settings settings don't never change.
I tried the following things:
-change my settings of the mouse pointer to the user the dinosaur mouse pointer scheme, but the same problem occurs
-Uninstall mouse drivers and let the PC to reinstall the driver automatically at startupI use a USB mouse. When I use the laptop without the USB mouse, the problem actually gets worse. In this case, the mouse pointer changes, and the mouse pointer freezes. My main concern is the modification of the pointer, not the gel.
Anyone seen this before? In addition, no one knows how to fix this problem?
Thank you.
I ended up having my motherboard replaced on my laptop keyboard and Mouse touchpad. Then only the problem was solved.

FCPX - marker of time does not move during playback
All the world has noticed this annoying bug? During playback of content video plays normally in the preview window, but the marker of time in the timeline panel locks into place and not moving from left to right in real time. When I stop reading, then the marker jumps to the position in the timeline, it is supposed to be. Makes it much more difficult to change. I checked my preferences and couldn't find anything that would cause this erratic behavior. Any input will be appreciated. Thank you.
TTry trashing prefs and reboot. Is there a lot of graphics and unreturned equipment in the timeline?

Movie Maker import my. MPG video with Audio only
My OS: Vista Business 32-bit
My Movie Maker: Version 6.0I have a video file of 4.4 GB of a recent trip. It's on my Motion LE1700 Tablet PC to the .mpg format. If I click on the file, the video and audio both appear.
My problem: when I import into Movie Maker (by clicking on 'Videos' under 'Import' to the left of the screen) if I can edit and publish later, the properties end up the show as an audio file under 'source '. It only allows me to drop - drag the file into the audio part of the timeline, and I can't see the video when I play (I can hear the audio).
What I am doing wrong?
Thanks for any help.
