• Changed a file .jpg with MSPaint, edit does not appear in Dreamweaver. ?

  In my folder images for my site are several .jpg files. I edited the .jpg file in MS Paint.  I added some blue pixels stand out.  Then I have opened Dreamweaver MX in local mode, watched the .jpg with preview in browser/Firefox, and there is no blue pixels.  I assume that the image must be permanently cached somewhere on my computer that I can not change.  Download the file didn't help.  Reload of dreamweaver did not help.  Windows XP, Dreamweaver MX.  This just started a few days ago.

• How can I easily change my files the with remote files that have been published online?

  Because it isn't Contribute, I don't see anything in the DW CS4 reference on how to have easily DW check for the files most recently edited on the server (edited by customers), so that these can be downloaded on my DW site locally.  Does anyone know a way to do, in addition to checking the dates of change on remote files, and download like that?

• LR 2.4 now changes the file names with the suffix - 2 when importing

  On Vista...

  was perfectly ok, but suddenly it adds now suffix-2 to all files when importing... and this can be seen in the Explorer to do!

  Do not change parameter.

  Have checked all the settings / options that I can find, but can't find what does it... the damned that is annoying when importing of large amounts of files (a couple).

  In catalog settings, file management you can set sequence number of import, you can set it to start at 2.

  In the import dialog itself that you have a wide choice of naming conventions in the drop-down list of file naming, if value Filename or custom - order of the name it will apply the sequence as shown in the catalog settings.

• Windows 7 - Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file.

  WMP worked fine one day and then the other, it will not play any type of file.  I just get the error message "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file." with each trying to play any type of file.  It won't play video or audio files, even those she played a few days ago.

  Dano_TR: try to use system restore to restore to a point from before the problem started to happen, as I have suggested earlier in this thread.

  FM 9 on Win 7 Pro.

  I'm a long-time user of FM.

  I am trying to open the files I could successfully open before I left work yesterday. I can open FM and open the books of FM. When I try to open an FM in a book, or an FM file not in a book, I get this message:

  "The unsaved changes in queue: [File name] save before closing? No Yes No Cancel.

  It doesn't matter which choose (Yes, no, cancel), following FM shows this message:

  FrameMaker 9 Application has stopped working. Windows can check online for a solution to the problem.

  Search online for a solution and close the program

  Close the program.

  Details of problem

  It doesn't matter what file I try to open (recently worked on the files and I have not touched it since some time). Same messages, anything.

  I tried to update the book (the update seems to happen), save the changes and then try to open. Same error messages. I had hoped that updating the book would clearly any possible referral.

  I tried several reboots, nothing works.

  Help!

  Since his happens with all files, my suspicion is that your application data are damaged. Try this:

  1. close FrameMaker.
  2. Delete the following directory: C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\FrameMaker\
  3. reopening of framemaker and see if the problem is reproducible.

  I have a file in Framemaker 8 that always opens with "unsaved changes".  I save the file, the asterisk disappears, but the next time I open the file in the asterisk is.

  He has probably got in it cross-references which are auto-mis to date when you open the document - it is this that fools the indicator "unsaved changes".

  I tried to run a binary program with Java Se and accidentally had the race all similar programs with this program and it has changed from a majority of the programs on my computer to run with this and now none of them work at all.   The best way to solve this problem would be to run the Windows system restore.  If you have Norton Internet Security installed, you must disable the Tamper Norton Protection as shown in step 2, on the link below.

  Once you are done, turn off the PC.  Windows system restore is usaully better run in Mode without failure.  Tap away at f8 that you start the PC to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER.  When it has loaded, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore.  Choose a restore point before you changed the file association and then proceed to the restoration.  When you are finished, Windows will restart normally.

  The option to change the icon for file type exists in Windows XP, and the UI (tab "File Types") has been removed in Windows 7/Vista. To change a file type icon, you must edit the registry or use third-party tools like "Default Programs editor" or something. Choose one of these items:

  File management preferences is where you can change the number. I don't know the maximum.

  I used to have a choice when I went to "Edit in Adobe Photoshop CS4" to: open a file .dng with LR2 development settings, to change a copy, or modify the original.  Now it just opens the development parameters of LR2.  What changed to cause this?

  As long as the version of Camera Raw in Photoshop is the same version compared to Lightroom, not... you will not get this dialog box... the file is open in Photoshop. If you do not have the same relative version then Yes, you will get a warning about hing Lightroom make the file. Also, if you open a non - raw file you get a dlog on if you want to open the original or a copy with applied LR settings...

  Go in Panel > Folder Options > view , uncheckHide extensions of known file types , and then click OK .  That will make the files, display the full name, including the extension of 3 characters after the point.  When you rename a file, make sure that you do not change the extension.
