• FDM mapping question

  Hi all

  How to map the entity field empty to an entity of Hyperion in FDM. I have a place named AA in FDM. and my TB file (data file) is presented as below. In the first row, I have an empty field in the entity and user asked me to map this empty field to the same entity that is mapped to 1001.  How is it possible to FDM.

  My FDM mappings are like 1001 soul

  1002 to ADF

  for the SOUL.

  How can I map the empty field to SOUL.

  so if you see the error that you have demonstrated that says something about the translation during consolidation... it means THAT FDM is the initiation of translation.

  Please, can you ensure "Allow to consolidate" is unchecked in the HFM adapter?

  Also allow the 'Validation of Intersection report' and rerun the import workflow.

  I'm confused. In the mapping definition logic account account you have defined will be never defined as a source, as it is a construction of FDM and is not present in your target system, you can map to an appropriate target account. In the definition of account of your logic, you have have to specified 3 accounts you want to aggregate and the logic of multiply the value by 1000. • FDM Essbase adapter is missing Dimension Member

  We run FDM 11.1.1.3
  
  We installed the Essbase adapter and configured for a specific planning application\database.
  In web FDM we can browse for target in the account Dimension, we can see members of essbase account, but there is a specific account that we cannot find.
  
  When we check Planning\Essbase the account we are looking for exists and is a member of the dimension account.
  
  How can we get FDM to locate the missing member? is it possible to force a refresh on the dimension account or card?

  Unfortunately the mapping is a requirement of FDM. What you can do is to match the article on "ignore."
  Any line that contains the word "Ignore" will ultimately not be written in the. DAT file during export.

  In the Account Dimension, I have some defect of the UDA (revenue, expense, flow, average, saved, end hypothesis, no rate of).
  
  I am trying to understand what the exact purpose of the UDA. I don't know about revenues and expenditures that indicates what type of account is in the sketch. But what are these other UDA used for?
  
  The application is Multicurrency and am on 9.3.1.
  
  These are also UDA are as default on behalf of dimension or we have to create them?

• Adding security to account dimension members

  I have a Hyperion Planning V11.1.1.1.0 application.
  Dimension of the accounts are members of the suite Oracle E - biz.
  I have manually added security* members (about 300) the dimension of accounts in order to create dataforms for different users.
  
  What is the easiest method of adding security to members of the account dimension+ because it has become very difficult to manually add security accounts as the number of members in the dimension increases significantly (say 1000).
  
  I also noticed there is no way of the only children of a particular parent would inherit the security of parents.
  
  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Also, you can certainly apply the security for the children or descendants of a given member.

  There is a drop-down list in the form of security entitlement that allows you to assign security:

  -MEMBER
  -CHILDREN (including the original member)
  -CHILDREN
  -DESCENDANTS (including the original member)
  -DESCENDANTS

  There is no reason to apply security to individual members if you can avoid it. The functions of relationship will facilitate your interview.

• FDM sign flip function account and Custom Dimension pairs

  I have a requirement where I have to change the sign of the amount when you import the data to the PIF file, I am aware of the sign flip in maps where can pass the sign based on the story. The requirement that I got is a little different.

  I was given 40 pairs of accounts and Custom3 members and I will have to change the sign for these 40 pairs.

  For example:

  1 account - Cover_Premiums and Custom3: gross

  2 share of reinsurance matters – Cover_Claims and Custom3-

  If the data file is to have the above pairs the amount of those who should not change.

  I wrote a script to import and attached to the dimension of amount in the import format. The script is

  The script ran end after that recording works fine when the file is imported and its reversal, the sign for the records, but the problem is his flipping the sign for all records in the data file.

  In a script to import, you have two input parameters:

  -strfield: value of the column of the source file that is defined in the import format. In case you, amount field

  -strRecord: all of the data in row processing.

  If we need to check the account and 3 Custom fields, you will first get these values for the strRecord parameter.

  In any case, I would say that you optimize your code by concatenating account and Custom3.

  For example, if you have a delimited by ';' with 5 fields file where the account is in 1st position and Custom 3 in the 2nd:

  Any help with this would be really appreciated. I know that FDM interpret tracking by Dr. as positive numbers and those followed CT as negative, but it does not distinguish if this figure relates to an expense (account of natural flow) or income (natural credit) account... I need FDM to interpret natural credit account type (receipts) as its flow as a negative and a positive still. For natural flow (expense accounts), I need the balances to be always positive and the credit balance to be always negative.
  
  How can we achieve this MDF? is there a built-in feature or do we add script? Ideally I need to do during the mapping phase and not the import... THX!

  You can reverse the sign of the accounting in the FDM account mapping, there is a ceckbox that select you / deselect in each line of the mapping. This is how to enforce the good signange for accounts.

  I think that your question is about the metadata via FDM, and data loading. If so, the answer is no. FDM is a data load application not a metadata management application

• 10.2 OWB mapping question

  Hi friends,

  Im working on the 10.2.0.5 owb. I made a sample mapping as below

  Step 1: Created a source module giving him the location as a data source and import the following from the 11g database table

  per_all_assignments_f

  hr_all_organization_units

  Step 2: Created a target such as a data warehouse module by giving my g 10 db Details of the venue and started to create a dimension.

  Step 3: Created the mapping in the target module by dragging the source tables and a dimension of the source and the target module.

  Step 4: Deployment sequence, table, dimension successfully in the control center. When I tried to deploy the mapping of a pop-up window will appear with the details of the source of my 11g database, once I entered the password and shortly after pressing the ok button, I got a message like

  RTC-pair of type Location 5318:Invalid for the name Oracle database and version 11.1

  Im not sure with the light of the foregoing, which runs all through the mapping. Given that I created and saved to the location of the source of my 11 g database. But then too why owb returns error as source location is not. Therefore, I can see my source location in the Explorer of the connection.

  If this problem occurs because I imported the source table of the database 11g as the owb that im using is 10 g. ??
