Ffmpeg VS Handbrake

I'll use the brake hand or ffmpeg to convert video files of variable rate at a constant rate.

What would we be better? I need without loss or lossless quality close.

If you can recommend the best settings for the Handbrake or the best command-line for ffmpeg to achieve that would be greatly appreciated!

My files are in the following format:

Yes, it is:

    I just signed up for the "teacher" Tube I am a new teacher and it would give me the opportunity to have my own website where I can post my own video content and allow my students to blog, and parents can communicate with me. I googled in the classroom through work, and I have a PC that I could put this whole thing (teacher Tube) on. Teacher tube has an App called "hand brake". They say that they cannot play or incorporate several different types of multimedia without this "hand brake". What are your thoughts? Should I just use the school issued PC to use this application? (So do not expose my MAC to any type of situation like this. It has something to do with Open Source or Creative Commons? If it is the handbrake you talk, you might as well get it directly from here: https://handbrake.fr

    What I don't understand, are the references to coating... HandBrake is essentially a video transcoder. It converts the video from one type to another, nothing else. You'll probably need to download the video in the correct format.

    BTW: I don't see any risk when uploading handbrake. He has a good reputation.

  • FFMPEG Exec System

    Hello!

    I am trying to merge the audio and the video previously acquired in labview, and I can do with the FFmpeg tool by typing

    'ffmpeg-i video.wav-i video.avi - c copy sortie.avi' on the console of FFmpeg.

    I want to do it by programming, so I think I need to use the Exec System utility. I tried this:

    But it does nothing. I think that I do not line correctly. Do I have to set the control in the entry standard as I do in the Console of FFmpeg command line?

    If someone could help me, I would be greatfull.

    Thanks in advance for your time!

    Guille.

    Hello

    Maybe you could try to test the Exec.vi system using simple commands.

    Read this link: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/8E19CA81874FFDD786256BE40066C151 , in my opinion, there are 2 screenshots which shows the 2 different methods to write using system exec command. What I can see on your screen, is that you use both at the same time. You try to use the method that is in the link (1 screenshot) instead?

    Here is an example that you can see and play with: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-1109

  • On a Linux machine to work video settings for handbrake to help...

    I just wanted to report my success with my Sansa View for DVD ripping in the right format for playing on this topic for us Linux users.

    After selecting the source DVD, go to the image tab and click on the preview image.

    A window appears.  On the low left side, uncheck the box and set all the values to zero.

    Bottom right, uncheck all the boxes and set the resolution to 640 by 480.

    In the video tab, select ffmpeg to the decoder and 23.976 (NTSC Film) for the frame rate and 500 for the flow.

    Switch to the tab audio / subtitles, select a sampling frequency of 44.1 for audio.

    Just above the boxes with tabs, make sure that your setting container is mp4.

    Finally, choose your location and output file name, and then click the Green Start button.

    When your dvd is done ripping on the bottom of the window it shows progress "Rip done!

    Finally, copy the mp4 to your video directory on your view.  I found that as I indicated that the video will play each time.

    Thank you for your help.

    Please need fix soon have work related with media player. just happened when my girlfriend downloaded a decoder for my audio. FFMPEG WHAT IS AND HOW TO FIX IT SO I CAN WATCH MY FILES...

    Hello

    Method 1: I suggest you uninstall the decoder, then check to see if that fixes the problem:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/uninstall-or-change-a-program

    Method 2: If the above mentioned method does not help, then you can try to uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player to fix the problem:

    Step 1

    Uninstalling Windows Media Player:

    a. go to start and in the search type 'Turn Windows has or not'.

    b. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".

    c. find multimedia and uncheck the brand in the face of Windows Media Player.

    d. restart the computer

    Step 2

    Reinstall Windows Media Player:

    a. go to start and in the search type 'Turn Windows has or not'.

    b. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".

    c. find the multimedia functions and place a check mark in front of the Windows Media Player.

    d. restart the computer.

    Hello

    (1) you have any third-party software installed on your computer CD/DVD burning?

    I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

    Solve problems with creating a DVD-video using Windows DVD creation
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-problems-with-creating-a-DVD-video-using-Windows-DVD-Maker

    Method 2:

     Try to put your computer in a clean boot state, and check to see if the same problem happens.

    By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

    How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

  • problem compiling ffmpeg

    I've compiled ffmpeg with other libraries, I need for Blackberry 10. I receive the following two errors when you include the library in my project

    / Applications/Momentics.app/target_10_2_0_1155/qnx6/usr/include/cpp/xlocinfo:167:10: error: 'strftime' is not a member of 'std '.

    .. /.. /.. /ffmpeg/ffmpeg-2.0.2/dist/include/libavutil/time.h:29:1: error: "int64_t" does not designate a type

    Could someone help me with these questions? I'm not sure where to go completely. When I find int64_t in time.h and select 'Open Declaration' it takes me to his statement in stdint.h (/ Applications/Momentics.app/target_10_2_0_1155/qnx6/usr/include/stdint.h) it seems like it is defined. Use in time.h:

    /**

    To get the current time in microseconds.

    */

    int64_t av_gettime (void);

    In case anyone comes across this, I was able to get the library compiled and included in the project. The instructions on doturner post are correct. I was sourcing the wrong bbndk-env script and I think that was causing a problem. I still received the error UINT64_C, but they have been fixed including the headers of the library like this:

    extern "C".

    {

    uint64_t UINT64_C #define

    #define INT64_C int64_t

    #include

    ...

    }

    You don't need to change all library files, so do not do what I did in the post above. The definition of UINT64_C and INT64_C take care of it.

  • Frame API NV12 AVFrame (FFmpeg) camera

    I'm trying to use the camera API to stream video, but since it currently only writes to a file I'm trying to use the callback with the video viewfinder.

    void vf_callback(camera_handle_t handle, camera_buffer_t* buf, void* arg)

    Given that it only becomes a video image in NV12 (close enough to YUV420P? I think?) I'm trying to use FFmpeg to convert. I already wore FFmpeg and it works fine, but I can't seem to get the image to convert on one MPEG frame.

    My question is, does anyone know how to code the video image of the reminder using FFmpeg?

    What makes a dummy AVFrame which works well when the video file is created:

    /* Y */
    for(int y=0;yheight;y++) {
        for(int x=0;xwidth;x++) {
            picture->data[0][y * picture->linesize[0] + x] = x + y + a * 3;
        }
    }

    /* Cb and Cr */
    for(int y=0;yheight/2;y++) {
        for(int x=0;xwidth/2;x++) {
            picture->data[1][y * picture->linesize[1] + x] = 128 + y + a * 2;
            picture->data[2][y * picture->linesize[2] + x] = 64 + x + a * 5;
        }
    }

    I found this in the FFmpeg source, but it does not quite work to convert the image:

    int8_t *y, *u, *v;
    y = picture->data[0];
    u = picture->data[1];
    v = picture->data[2];
    const uint8_t *src=buf->framebuf;

    for (int i = 0; i < (c->height + 1) >> 1; i++)
    {
        for (int j = 0; j < (c->width + 1) >> 1; j++)
        {
            u[j] = *src++ ^ 0x80;
            v[j] = *src++ ^ 0x80;
            y[2 * j] = *src++;
            y[2 * j + 1] = *src++;
            y[picture->linesize[0] + 2 * j] = *src++;
            y[picture->linesize[0] + 2 * j + 1] = *src++;
        }

        y += 2 * picture->linesize[0];
        u += picture->linesize[1];
        v += picture->linesize[2];
    }

    Here is the reminder and any other test code:

    {
        if (buf->frametype != CAMERA_FRAMETYPE_NV12)

    I use this with sample HelloVideoCamera, so if you want to run it, you can plug the recall on that.

    So I did a bit of preliminary inquiry and it seems that the following fields of the struct AVFrame interest a NV12-> YUV420P conversion:

    uint8_t* data[];
    uint8_t linesize[];
    int width;
    int height;

    It seems that in the case of YUV420P, data [0] is a pointer to the pixel plan Y data [1] are a pointer to pixel map U and data [2] is a pointer to the plan V pixel.

    You will notice that in the NV12 format, there are only 2 planes: a plan of Y and a plan combined UV.  The trick in this conversion process will be out interlacing the you and values V of the UV combined plan separate from you and V aircraft.

    The plan should be usable as - is.  You shouldn't even need to copy the pixel data.

    picture->data[0] = buf->framebuf;
    picture->linesize[0] = buf->framedesc.nv12.stride;

    The code above should be enough to put the plan in place Y.  If you really want, you could malloc air pixel data [0] and then memcpy() the Y data buf-> framebuf (line-by-line!), but it's probably a waste of time.  I noticed that you use av_image_alloc(), which you probably want to skip since you probably only want alloc data [1] and [2] data plans and will probably have to do it by hand... you can consider to implement a pool rather than return to malloc() in real-time.

    In any case, once you have the data [1] and would have [2] data had malloc (), you should be able to make an of interleave and copy from you and data buffer V of NV12 as follows:

    uint8_t* srcuv = &buf->framebuf[buf->framedesc.nv12.uv_offset];
    uint8_t* destu = picture->data[1];
    uint8_t* destv = picture->data[2];
    picture->linesize[1] = buf->framedesc.nv12.width / 2;picture->linesize[2] = picture->linesize[1];

    for (i=0; iframedesc.nv12.height/2; i++) {
        uint8_t* curuv = srcuv;
        for (j=0; iframedesc.nv12.width/2; j++) {
            *destu++ = *curuv++;
            *destv++ = *curuv++;
        }
        srcuv += buf->framedesc.nv12.stride; // uv_stride in later API versions
    }

    Note I guess one of strides you and plan V is desirable.  Then, if your allocator data [1] and [2] data plans with long strides, "Stride" pointers of dest as necessary at the end of the loop 'j '.

    Now you should have a YUV420P frame that will be compatible with your encoder.  Or at least that's how to interpret headers no matter what I was watching

    See you soon,.

    Hi all, I am very new in c ++ but I have to use a third party (FFMPEG) library

    My question is, where should I put the Build command in Momentics?

    Source:https://github.com/hardisonbrewing/libffbb

    Thank you

    $ # build (shared) libs for QNX armle-v7
    $ # to enable h.264 support add `--enable-gpl --enable-libx264 --extra-cflags=-I/workspace/libffbb/libx264/include --extra-ldflags=-L/workspace/libffbb/libx264/lib/armle-v7`
    $ ./configure --enable-cross-compile --cross-prefix=arm-unknown-nto-qnx8.0.0eabi- --arch=armv7 --disable-debug --enable-optimizations --enable-asm --disable-static --enable-shared --target-os=qnx --disable-ffplay --disable-ffserver --disable-ffprobe --prefix=`pwd`/target
    $ make install

    These commands do not go to Momentics. They come from the command line.

  • Help collaborative pox edition - Premiere Pro, Handbrake and Dropbox

    Hello

    I was wondering if someone could give me advice on how best to create a workflow where I can creative a copy low-resolution images on main raid, send the images low resolution to a Publisher and synchronize the change to the master images once the editor finishes the edit and send me the project file.

    I remember doing something similar a few years ago by convert images using the handbrake, the publisher sent a file zip and all reconnect later, but its been a while.

    Also, what format and the quality is recommended converting the images to a lower resolution file?

    Thank you

    Transcode your media to keep everything the same except the bitrate (or if you want to make things more difficult for yourself the size of frame). It is more important that the name of the file remains the same here.

    Send your guy copies low-resolution, and when he sends back the project select all media in the project and make a hit and right click "offline", then "Link Media" and access your full resolution copies.

  • Premiere Pro is mess up my audio/video synchronization. Use Handbrake really the only solution for this problem?

    Premiere Pro is mess up my audio/video synchronization for the images that I downloaded from my iPhone 6 s + (.) MOV files). The files play fine, but once that I put them in Premiere Pro, the audio falls slowly behind the video, probably to cause "variable frame rate." phone I've seen other threads where people had the same problem, and the universal response, I saw was freeware download called 'Handbrake' to convert the frame rate of variable to fixed... but is not sit right with me.

    Uses 3rd party freeware really the only solution for this problem? Video editing software Adobe Professional-grade not really have the ability to solve this problem? If so, what should I do to prevent all Premiere Pro ruin all my pictures to import?

    Hi Christafarian,

    Premiere Pro is mess up my audio/video synchronization for the images that I downloaded from my iPhone 6 s + (.) MOV files).

    You wouldn't be the first. I'm sorry.

    The files play fine, but once that I put them in Premiere Pro, the audio falls slowly behind the video, probably to cause "variable frame rate." the phone

    I found:

    • If you pull the iPhone in a well-lit environment, it records at a constant speed.
    • In lighting challenged environments, you get images image variable rate.

    I've seen other threads where people had the same problem, and the universal response, I saw was freeware download called 'Handbrake' to convert the frame rate of variable to fixed... but is not sit right with me.

    For this project, you're probably stuck with transcoding with Handbrake or another method not Adobe. Our coders simply do not handle variable frame rates.

    Uses 3rd party freeware really the only solution for this problem?

    With Premiere Pro and this project, you have no other choice. For future projects, look into purchasing a high end video camera application where you can shoot at a constant rate regardless of the stage lighting.

    Video editing software Adobe Professional-grade not really have the ability to solve this problem? If so, what should I do to prevent all Premiere Pro ruin all my pictures to import?

    If you like Premiere Pro to support variable frame rates, please create a feature request. Otherwise, I hope my tips will help you in the future.

    Thank you
    Kevin

  • FrameServing CS6 body to the handbrake?

    I tried to understand how to use the utility Debugmode Frameserving with Premiere Pro CS6 and I seem to be missing a part of the workflow.

    I'm not impressed at all with either of the h264 encodes I get of the body/SOUL CS6 aftering after seeing the quality first hand of SONY Vegas Pro 13 frameserving to the handbrake: the final result is jaw drop in image quality and put renders it of the body/SOUL to shame IMO - especially at lower bitrates.

    I installed frameserving utility and can be seen as an option of rendering in the body during the export media but when I try to open the Panel to the handbrake, it throws an error message saying that I need to first scan a source and set up my work before you start encoding.

    I searched for days and trying to find a workflow solution, but so far I came up empty.  Any suggestions apart from creating a master restore and hoop then jumping over to the handbrake?  Trying to streamline my workflow in Premiere Pro.  This is starting to become an important factor if I continue using Premiere Pro or not because I deliver a large NUMBER of h264 MP4 for production houses that I work with to the client work.

    You can Tmpgenc frameserve.

    And I believe that Sorenson Squeeze.
