fields of digital type in the table editor can be too small

Hello

just a minor inconvenience: depending on the settings of digital numbers may not fully appear in the table editor, refer to the figure below where a digital precision of 15 has been set with scientific notation. Of course, these values are used to display the stepsize in the editor, too... Because it is possible "scroll" the number is not a real problem, but it is not very nice either

Hi Wolfgang,.

I could reproduce this behavior here on my end. I'll take it then they can handle it for the next version of the CVI.

Best regards

    I can longer open attached pdf files.  I am able to preview the files, but they are too small for me to read.  When I click to open all the I get now is a kind of icon (in Microsoft Office Picture Manager) with which I can't do anything.

    It seems I should have arranged for Picture Manager automatically opens attachments to emails, but when this happens, I'm stuck as what I try, I can't do pdf files appear as they did.

    Create a file association.

    1. download and save the attachment to the office.
    2. right click on the saved file.
    3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
    4. click on: choose [default] program.
    5. Select: (Whatever you have installed a PDF reader).

  • A question about the conservation of fields (hour, min, sec) time DATE type in the table on the changes of NLS_DATE_FORMAT

    Hello

    Oracle version: 12.1.0.1.0 - 64 bit

                      OS:   Fedora Core 17 X86_64

    My question is about the conservation of fields (hour, minute, second) time DATE type in the array on NLS_DATE_FORMAT changes.

    Take the following test case:

    SQL> create table tmptab(dateval date);

    Table created.

    SQL> alter session set nls_date_format = 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss';

    Session altered.

    SQL> insert into tmptab(dateval) values('2014-01-01 00:00:00');

    1 row created.

    SQL> insert into tmptab(dateval) values('2014-01-01 10:00:00');

    1 row created.

    SQL> commit;

    Commit complete.

    SQL> select * from tmptab;

    DATEVAL
    -------------------
    2014-01-01 00:00:00
    2014-01-01 10:00:00

    SQL> alter session set nls_date_format = 'yyyy';

    Session altered.

    SQL> select * from tmptab where dateval > '2014';

    no rows selected

    SQL>

    I don't understand why it returns nothing. The second test case above insert statement inserted a line with 10 as the value for the time of the DATE field column dateval.

    Accordingly, while comparing this with the literal '2014' (which based on the new value of NLS_DATE_FORMAT = "yyyy" is implicitly converted to DATE), shouldn't the above query returns the line 2014-01-01 10:00 ?

    I mean, I changed the NLS_DATE_FORMAT but data from time in the table fields are preserved and that's why they should normally be taken into account in the comparison of date.

    What I'm trying to say is that for me (Please correct me if I'm wrong), no matter what NLS_DATE_FORMAT configuration is the following test

    SQL> select * from tmptab where dateval > '2014';

    is the same thing that

    SQL> select * from tmptab where dateval > to_date('2014-01-01 00:00:00', 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss');

    And because the line 2014-01-01 10: 00:00 in the tmptab table. The following test

    2014-01-01 10:00:00 > to_date('2014-01-01 00:00:00', 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss')

    evolves normally true (beucase of TIME = 10 on the left side of the test) and therefore this line must be returned which is not the case in the test above.

    You kindly could you tell me what I misunderstood?

    Thanks in advance,

    This is the price for the use of implicit conversions. Implicit DATE conversion rules are not as direct as it can be assumed. In your case, all you provide is year as date format. In this case date implicit conversion rules assumes that month in the current month, day 1 and time as 00:00:00.

    SQL > alter session set nls_date_format = "yyyy";

    Modified session.

    SQL > select to_char (to_date ('2014 "), ' mm/dd/yyyy hh24:mi:ss') twice;

    TO_CHAR (TO_DATE('20)
    -------------------
    01/08/2014-00:00:00

    SQL >

    So, when you start:

    Select * from tmptab where dateval > '2014 '.

    Oracle implicitly converts date using "YYYY", which translates as August 1, 2014 '2014'. That's why your quesry returns no rows.

  • SD3.0 EA3: ER model - Classification Type in the Table Properties window

    Hello

    In my ER model, for some tables in my model, I am not able to use the Type of Classification. When I select a classification type and click on the button apply the fist type classification letter appears on the header of the table. But the format of classification does not apply. For example, I created a new type of classification 'Story' and given a red background color. When I apply this type of ranking on a table the letter "H" appears on the header color but background of red table has not been applied. Table is always to have default yellow background.
    This behavior is identical, even if I select a Classification type predefined as fact or Dimension etc... And this behavior is for a few tables only. For other paintings his worksheet.
    I'm not able to identify any particular difference between these tables.

    Please help me.

    Rahul,

    can you check the settings for 'format' for tables without own colouring - it's "Format" in the menu of items on the diagram - 'Use the default color' should be selected. If it is not selected, then using the specific defined on the object and color associated with type of ranking is not applied.
    Select all objects (can use CTRl-A) and "format" dialog box allows to define the use of the default color.

  • To view the details of the table, how can I create users and applications for the dev team?

    Hello
    Veiw the tables as column details, etc., we use the password apps by oracle apps Forms.But apps password giving the development of values is threat to security. My question, how the development team will check the details of the database other than the apps user & password? No work around for this problem?

    Naya,

    The developers must have access to the development/TEST instance but must not be connected directly to the instance of PROD. Assuming that your development instance is identical to the production, I believe that the best scenario is to prepare reports on the development instance (having full access including password apps), and once they are done, they go to the ADMINISTRATOR to upload it to the production instance.

    You must move the thread {forum: id = 75}.

  • Google website in every night has the search that is much too small bar

    Is not in relation to the bar of search engine next to the address bar of www on top. It is a problem once you are inside the Web site of google on every night. Top of the site, just the google logo is a search bar that is supposed to fill parent and extend laterally. In all other browsers it seems big, in every night is just more than 10 characters wide, which is of course very annoying when you try to search sentences long.

    Note that you can also do this with the code in the userContent.css file.

    @-moz-document domain(www.google.com){.gb_sb .gb_rb{flex-basis: main-size!important;}}

    The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.

    • Create the folder chrome (lowercase) in the .default < xxxxxxxx > profile folder if the folder does not exist
    • Use a text editor like Notepad to create a file userContent.css (new) in the folder chrome (file name is case sensitive)
    • Paste the code into the userContent.css file in the Editor window

    Make sure that you select "All files" and not "text files" when you save the file via "save file as" in the text editor as userContent.css.
    Otherwise, Windows can add a hidden .txt file extension and you end up with one does not not userContent.css.txt file

    I'm trying to install iCloud and download all my photos from the photos app. However, about 500 (out 3,00) cannot be downloaded, because they are "too small". Is there a solution to this? Also once I have downloaded them will be safe to remove them from the photos app to create a space on my mac?

    See you soon.

    I have not heard of "too small" subject problem and cannot help with that.

    Regarding

    Also once I have downloaded them will be safe to remove them from the photos app to create a space on my mac?

    Note If you are using iCloud photo library (Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud > Photos > iCloud photo library) all photos you delete app Photos on your Mac will also be deleted photos at https://www.icloud.com/ and any other device connected to this library to iCloud. Apple offers no option only cloud storage for Photos. iCloud library is primarily designed for photos of synchronization between devices rather than as cloud storage only. You can reduce the amount of storage space required on your Mac by opening the photo and then click on Preferences in the menu called Photos, click on iCloud in the bar at the top of the preferences window and select "Optimize Mac Storage."
