  I used Adobe Dynamic Link in Premiere Pro in the past; both on my home computer that uses CS 5.5 and on my work computer that uses the creative cloud.

  I don't know why the dynamic links will not open.  I have not received an error message, and the first collapsed in the process.  I need to know what the problem is and whether or not there is a fix.

  I checked the url of the home page in Firefox and it has been set at startpage.com, but then when I looked at the default programs in Ubuntu, I noticed that the default program for the web had been unintentionally configured to use a .desktop file that leads to t he admin for my Web site login page.

  I changed this back to Firefox and the problem was solved.

• Why CS4 will not open DNG files converted from raw Olympus E - M1 files?

  For several years, I was able to use the DNG Converter to convert. My E - M1 Olympus ORF raw files and then open them for treatment in CS4. Suddenly CS4 quit recognizing these DNG files saying "Photoshop could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file"

  I have not changed preferences. I use E - M1 v3.0, DNG Converter v8.3.0.141 on a Mac. I deleted the converter DNG several times, even reinstalled an earlier version, but nothing does not change.

  However, CS4 will open the converted DNG files from Pentax raw. PEF files of my K-5. Weird. This is the Olympus raw DNG conversions that will not open.

  I can view the DNG files converted into question in the preview of the Mac just fine, but CS4. Any ideas will be appreciated.

• LR CC will not open. Tried signing out and in the CC and other suggested solutions.

  I use window 8.1. Downloaded CC trial two weeks ago and installed Lr 5 and PS. I created the Lr catalog in one location other than that proposed by Lr 5 (a secondary drive). LR 5 and Ps worked well and I intend to buy the package of photography. Then I upgraded to Lr CC and uninstalled Lr 5. LR CC will not open. The test appears, I click on "Continue trial" he goes and Lr does not open. I tried disconnecting and DC many times, I've uninstalled and reinstalled Lr CC and even the CC app, still nothing. I tried to remove the. lrcat.lock file but could not find, so I deleted all the files from the catalog and all records (it was just a practice). There seems to be no way to get Lr CC to open.

  2. right click on the saved file.
  3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
  4. click on: choose [default] program.
  5. Select: Adobe Reader.
  6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.

• Captivate 5 program will not open... just three buttons see the

  Trying to open captivate 5 all I get is the screen of welcome and as soon as I try to go any further I just get the three buttons showing (red, orange, green).  Everything is completely transparent.

  I finally managed to find a working solution which included go me through the following process to reset my preferences to Captivate, as there is obviously a corrupt.  I had to:

  Go to my preferences via (users/user/Library/preferences/adobe captivate 5 (whatever version) and delete this folder "Préférences".)

  When I restarted the program we discovered the folder wasn't there and recreated a new and hey presto the program started normally.  However, all my preferences were gone... included one of my installations more common and useful to be able to 'recent' because it hides, and all my other profiles have been deleted when you re-create the folder "Preferences".

  I hope this helps someone else who suffers from a similar problem.

  I have no navigation bar since I closed it to have more space on the screen. It will not re - open. Firefox does not open in safe mode, but immediately opens in normal mode with the new configuration incorrect, so I can't reset to default configuration.   You can try Mode without failure of Firefox to see if the problem goes away? You can restart Firefox Safe mode either by:

  • By clicking on the menu button

    

    click Help

    

    and selecting restart with disabled modules, or;

  • Now the button option key when starting Firefox.

  If the problem is not present in Mode without failure of Firefox your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration.
