file to archive corrupted outlook

I have Office 2007 Enterprise and Windows Vista business on my laptop.   When I archive my email, I can not open the file because I get a message that the file is corrupted.  I tried the suggested option "open and repair" does not exist on these systems, nor find the program of "text retrieval.
I have an external backup, but I think that it is also corrupt.
If I can't fix the file, I need to know how to set up another file to archive that is not damaged and that the service Archives will find.

Compress, (Compact in American English), removes waste of space, not your messages. Please read below, but if compact you and still get the prompt, after return. It is another question.

Why OE insists on compacting folders when I close it? :
    http://www.insideoe.com/FAQs/why.htm#compact

Compacting your folders periodically is a must to keep OE works fine and at some point, you may lose all your saved messages if you do not. When you delete or move messages, the space they used remains until you compact.

Never touch anything until the compression is finished.* *.

    See:
    www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2

With SP2, Automatic compaction in the background has been removed because of problems he has caused. Now, you will get a prompt to compact after 100 closures of OE, you need to do, and do not touch anything until it's finished. If you compact manually, at your convenience, this will also set the counter to zero. See this for more information:
    http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm#compact

If you are fully patched, you will now see a copy of your dbx files copied to the Recycle Bin as BAK files. If something goes wrong when compacting, the messages can be easily restored from this backup. A compact manual resets also the counter in the back of the registry to zero now.

For more information, see the information framed in red here:
    www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2

To keep things running smooth and harden faster:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. It will eventually become corrupt and you may lose mail. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

    And backup often.

  • File to archive does not import contacts in El Capitan

It's very frustrating because I know it should work.  I googled cela and everything I have read says it should work, but for some reason, it does not work for me.

    I'm on a MacBook running 10.11.4.

I want to be able to import my file Contacts.abbu in my usual user account in Contacts of an another user account on this computer for a backup.  Contacts in my usual account is connected to iCloud.  The 'backup' user account is not connected to iCloud.  I want contacts in this user to reside on my Mac account.  The "vcf" format works but for some reason the "Alice" will not work.  Please tell me just to use the VCard format if it works.  I want to know what I'm doing wrong with the method of the Archive.

I tried saving the file for sharing, public works, even a flash drive, to get the file to the other account, but nothing.  I was now all day and it's getting frustrating.  Initially, the user account of "backup" would not accept the VCard format.  After several ways to read the file in this account, I deleted and added a new user account "backup."  The VCard file now works but the file to archive still does not work.  He does everything as warning me that all existing contacts will be crushed, but when it's done there are no list of contacts.  Contacts with no contact.  I have close Contacts and re - open but still nothing.  Very frustrating.

    Help, please.

Archive of Contacts (file .abbu) is a copy of everything in the folder ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook. On my Mac (local) accounts are stored directly in the address book folder. Online accounts (such as iCloud) store the structure correct and even inside of a source folder that is located in the folder in address book.

Index of the contacts in the folder of metadata for each account in a database called AddressBook - v22.abcddb. The database for each account is used to display the contacts in the application. If you do not have an online account set up in the accounts Internet prefpane, then Contacts will not look in the Sources of data into account folder.

When you 'restore' a .abbu, the content completely erases the contents of the folder in address book. So it is probably works fine, but no showing don't not iCloud data because it does not know it is supposed to. You could try to replace the metadata folder which is directly in the folder in address book with the metadata file that is located in the folder iCloud in the Sources. However, it is not named with the name of the account, so you have to dig into each one until you find the appropriate subfolder.

Once you replace the local metadata, remove files from AddressBook - v22.abcddb that are directly in the address book folder, then open the Contacts. He must recreate the index files and display your iCloud as contacts on my Mac.

    Hello

What operating system is currently installed?

If Windows doesn't start over there is not much you can do and I recommend to reinstall Windows from the Toshiba recovery disc. Such a new and clean facility can help power Windows and the new installed Windows system will work also a bit faster and more stable if it s advisable to reinstall at any time (1-2 years).

So take the Toshiba Recovery disk and follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall Windows.

Toshiba satellite running Vista. The file is possibly corrupted. The file header checksum does not match the checksum calculated. Tried all posisible boots and no joy, continues to turn it back on! Frustration...

    Hey James,.

I does no change, I didn't download a document from my email (from a sender of confidence). I tried to start in safe mode, just, it restarts and goes back to the corrupted checksum display... Last known good config was the same result! The only error message is one that is in the title of this post, not others. Another detail, that I forgot to add is that it does not get insofar as a logo windows before it fails, just the toshiba start screen, then either passes the corrupt message checksum or a blue screen and restarts before I can read the text on the blue screen. Thanks for your response! Any additional help would be excellent if you can. In the meantime, I'll try your methods. Thanks again
OK, I have now managed a Startup Repair trying over and over again. Restore all settings and now looks very good, thanks for your help!
  • SFC scan reports sidebar.ini and source file as a corrupted file even after the installation of WIndows Vista repair.

    Hey, I'm Ryan.
I am running windows vista 32 bit and I get 2 files corrupted when I run SFC - they relate to the windows sidebar (sidebar.ini and store source file is also corrupted). I did a repair installation, and this always happens when I run the SFC.

1 - is this going to cause any problems to my laptop if I leave it alone?
2 could it be related to a virus?
I'm sorry for the questions, but I'm confused as to how this happened... Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

    1 NO.

    2 NO.

This SFC message could be caused by the manufacturer of the computer adding gadgets to the sidebar before installation of Windows for you, or some other change to the sidebar gadgets

    MS Info

I need to send a file Ms Info to Wb tech support so that they can help me with the game on steam download. Whenever they open the file it says it gives the following message "information MS cannot open this file. The file may be corrupt or incompatible with this version of the information system. "I tried to open it too and had the same error message how can I send a file not corrupted for them?

Information MS cannot open this file.

They should use Notepad to open the file when it is a txt file.

Another way to create a portable system information file is to select the hotkey Win + R, type msinfo32 , and press ENTER . Click file, Save and name the file. This method creates a file with an extension of nfo file. Perhaps the recipient expects the file in this format.

  • During the recording of music of a stick files memory are corrupt, wrong Tracklisting and will not play

I had problems with Windows Media Player and now when I try to record music on a formatted key, will not play the files, the track list is a track (the first track is not numbered) and the files end up corrupted but not all. The albums that record correctly with the announcement of the track won't play either. This process is done through sync WMP and I have Windows 7 64 bit, but not sure the version of WMP. If I open the music in HP Cloud(I have a HP Pavilion dv6) is properly listed and plays music.  I received a message saying that there are errors on the files in the 'device' and crossed the fix given, but it is never finished and has not corrected and problems. I reformatted the stick and tried again with the worst corruption problems than in the past and unable to delete files without reformat the stick again. Any help is appreciated.
