Files Adobe Reader won't open new pdf - why

Just (June 30, 2015) update Adobe Reader 8.1 to Windows and new files sent to me (deptmt of motor vehicles, for example, electricity bill public) cannot be opened.  'Old' pdf IRS, et al. files are fine.  Have no idea what to do except DELETE drive and try to install an older version.  The old version, on your laptop, open their fine.  Is the message I get from Windows: Microsoft an unknown error occurred wrote in telling me to go on this forum.

Can you open Reader by itself?  If so, try to disable the Protected Mode [Edit |] Preferences | (Improved) security].  If this isn't the case, tell us your version of Reader installed.

Or you can UNINSTALL (not DELETE), the current version of the player and download & install an earlier version of http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

    Hi Nassman,

Adobe Reader is a single reading software for PDF files. JPEG is not a supported format that would open in Adobe Reader. You must open the Jpeg in application that supports this file format. (for example, Photoshop, Picture Viewer, MS Paint)

I hope this helps. I would like to know if you have any further questions.

    Kind regards

Software Adobe reader could not open 'example.pdf' because it is not a file type supported or because the file has been damaged... I act not I have a problem with the 11.0.0.379 version that I have used before and I think that this problem of due before 11.0.9 version and is on the later version, including the "Adobe reader DC" the workaround that I opened the PDF file of the file in Notepad and delete the text in the top starting by <? XML 1.0 encoding and save. This fixes the problem on small files, but it does not work in larger files... How should I solve this?

If you generate files with anything before % PDF, these files are faulty. It is never allowed, but player used to tolerate it for compatibility with an obscure format Mac.

  • Adobe Reader does not open local PDF files / online

Hello! When I try to open local or online PDF files, Adobe Reader opens aandd... rest like this. The program does not show me the document, and then closes.

I uninstalled and installed again, but the problem persists. This happens with all of my pdf files.

If you are on Windows (which we don't know), you can try to use Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, and then double-click Eula.exe and accept the license agreement

  • Adobe Reader won't open no matter what PDF when clicked / double hit enter once.

Adobe Reader 11 does not open when I double click/hit enter on a PDF document. I need to hit enter several times to open a document once. This eventually created several AcroRd32.exe.

It is very annoying that I need to hit enter several times even to open a single PDF file.

That's how my task manager, even after the closure of any PDF file open.

I tried several times to re-install adobe reader software, but the same question is repeated again and again.

Try to disable the Protected Mode and see if the behavior changes.

  • software Adobe reader won't open sometimes

    Hello

September 16, 2014, there was an update to Adobe Reader version 11.0.09 (we are now at version 11.0.10). Since then, on one of my computers, I have the following problem: cannot open a PDF on the first try, if I (double) clicking on it (be it my record, Firefox or Thunderbird - messages attached, etc..) I have to (double) click on each file several times (sometimes even more than 10 times) and the file finally opens!

Each time, however, a process "AcroRd32.exe" is launched and rest (without having to open a new window on the screen), so I have to stop all these processes manually after a certain time.

I watch the web to find help. No question. I scanned my computer with several antivirus, anti-spyware and anti-malware protection software. Everything seems clean. I also uninstalled Adobe Reader and re-installed. The same problem. When I was able to do, I uninstalled Adobe Reader and replaced an earlier version version 11.0.09, and the problem has been resolved. This looks like a problem in the new version of Adobe Reader and it's more than annoying! I can not apparently find versions older software more...

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance!

    Cheers, Eric.

First thing I would try is to disable the Protected Mode [Edit |] Preferences | (Improved) security].

P.S. you can find (almost) and the older version of Reader on the site of Adobe FTP ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/

  • Adobe Reader won't open since CS 5 expired event

I recently downloaded a trial CS 5, that it is now expired and I can't open pdf files without getting a dialog box asking me to buy CS 5.

    Can you help me?

I suspect that there is more to what you mentioned since Adobe Reader does not come with the trial.

My guess would be that Acrobat (that comes with the trial version) took over the file associations for PDF files. You can change this by changing the file associations in your operating system (but we do not know what it is since you have not mentioned).

Another thing to try would be, uninstall the trial download, CS5 and reinstall Adobe Reader. That should put your clear associations.

  • ADOBE READER WON'T OPEN

HOW CAN I CORRECT THIS PROBLEM IN THE SISTEM

    Hi DAVID,

    1. what operating system is installed on your computer?
    2. What is the exact error message/code that you get when you try to open?
    3. you have the last Adobe installed your OS drive?

You might want to Uninstall and reinstall Adobe Reader and check if it works.

If you're having trouble uninstalling the traces of the Adobe Reader software, use the uninstall program.

  • Adobe reader software: my computer won't save adobe reader or any player of pdf files

my computer won't save adobe reader or any player of pdf files

Download and save > then install.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/find-a-file-you-have-downloaded

Search for a file that you have downloaded

This information applies to Windows Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Internet Explorer 8.

When you use Internet Explorer to download a file from Internet, you are usually asked where you want to store the file. If you specify where you want the file to be stored, Internet Explorer try normally put a file in the appropriate place. For example, documents and Web pages are normally saved in the Documents folder, music music files in the folder, and the images and graphics are saved in the pictures folder. In Internet Explorer 7, which could potentially harmful, such as executable programs, files are saved in the folder of the first temporary Internet files, and then copied in the folder you specified. Programs and various downloads are also sometimes saved to the downloads folder. Here are some tips on searching for files, that you downloaded.

If you download a file, and the save file dialog box appears, it is best to specify the folder in which you want to save the file to. This will save time later. If you save multiple files, Windows will normally remember the last folder you have saved, if you do not have to specify the folder again.

    See you soon.

  • PDF not always opens I have Adobe Reader DC when printing a PDF printer

PDF does not open always in Adobe Reader MS when printing a PDF printer. (Version 2015.009.20079)

It seems that the question is more common when CD is opened in the first place.

Turn off the display tabbed does not help.

This happening in our environment Citrix using Xenapp 6.5 on Windows server 2008 R2 when printing from Adobe PDF, PDFCreator, or another tool to print PDF.

    Best regards

It seems that there is a problem with the RdrCEF.exe file. When you rename the file solves the problem.

I tried to send an email with attachments 44 and would not send the email. Ever since I tried to send this e-mail, I have been doing the error msg.

Anyone know how I can get this to work for me again?

Thank you, any help is greatly appreciated.

The file you are trying to open is (you can see from the name) a BMP, PDF files no file. Adobe Reader can only open PDF files, just so stop trying to open it with Adobe Reader. The app, users of Windows for BMP files is painting.

Adobe Reader can open PDF files; for the .acsm file, you need Adobe Digital Editions.
