Fill a field of Date format

ODI, I'm trying to use a command sysdate to fill a field of Date format.
As a result, I get the data in the table: June 17, 2009 * 00:00:00 *.
But I want to see the Date and time.
When you run the command SELECT to_char (sysdate, 'hh24:mi:ss of mon-dd-yyyy') FROM dual; I see 16 June 2009 20:16:09

Why?

---
Gelo

I don't see why does not work...

Please, what is the version of oracle target?

Just to be sure, on the date fields, try to use, to target you mapping, the command:

TO_DATE (to_char (sysdate, 'ddmmyyyy hh24miss'), "ddmmyyyy hh24miss")

  • Converting varchar2 field in date format: DD-ME-AAAA

    Thanks in advance for the help anyone about it because I know that it takes your time and expertise. I'm pretty new to SQL but learn my way through it just have a problem with a text to the conversion of date field. It is an Oracle database 10g and I do not write in SQL. There is a field called demand which is formatted in varchar2 format DDMMYY. There is also an updated field shaped like a date called payment which is in JJ-ME-YYYY format.

    Essentially, I need to make a simple payment > = request, however as you can see that is an issue with this being a field of varchar2. Anyone know if it is possible to make this type of expression against these two fields. Was thinking about the varchar2 eventually convert a date but do not know how to access this format DD-MON-YYYY.

    Also there are situations where this application field will often be null because he would have never received correspondence in the past and would not have a date at all.

    Thank you

    Hello

    It is difficult to detect the wrong dates in pure SQL, especially if you need to be specific as to which 29 February is valid.
    It's easy with a user-defined function, like that of [this thread | http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=3669932].

  • Difference of field calculation date

    Hi all

    I am new to Adobe and Java script so apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere - I was not able to find it if it has.

    I want to calculate the difference between two date fields in hours and minutes on a form.

    I have two fields, the Date format (dd/mm/yyyy hh: mm), a start and end date and I want the difference between them at the time in the format hh: mm.

    Can someone help me with the script for this? What I have so far is:

    var strStart = this.getField("StartTime").value;

    var strEnd = this.getField("EndTime").value;

    if(strStart.Length || strEnd.Length)

    {

    var dateStart = util.scand ("mm/dd/yyyy hh: mm", strStart);

    var dateEnd = util.scand ("mm/dd/yyyy hh: mm", strEnd);

    diff var = dateEnd.getTime () - dateStart.getTime ();

    One day = (24 hours) x (60 minutes/hour) x

    (60 seconds/minute) x (1000 milliseconds per second)

    var oneMin = 60 * 60 * 1000;

    var minutes = Math.floor (diff/oneMin);

    Event.Value = util.printd("HH:MM",mins);

    }

    But it does not work...

    Mary

    Got it - Thanks for your help - really appreciate it.

  • Formatting of the fields of Dates in Web applications

    I create a web application that lists the event schedules. An output section contains the date of the event. Is there a way I can reformat a date field that is in the web application to appear differently. Example, rather than showing as 1 may 2013, how to display the date as "may 1'? Is there a way to do this without inserting JavaScript custom page? I am looking for an internal function in Vancouver to do this reformatting. Thank you.

    Date formatting is not customizable, you will need some JS to tweak that. Here is an article as reference: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1869

  • Validation - validate if the field has a date format appropriate or a number

    Hello

    I have 2 of my form fields... we're the date type and the other is of type number... may I know how to validate if the field has the correct date/number format...

    Please advice how to write "Validation" of the APEX feature to accomplish the foregoing.

    Thank you

    can I know how to validate if the field has the correct date/number format...

    The most effective way is simply to try to convert to the type required (using format masks there) in a function to return a Boolean validation:

    declare

      n number;

    begin

      n := to_number(:p1_num_item);

      return true;

    exception

      when value_error or invalid_number
      then
        return false;

    end;

    and

    declare

      d date;

    begin

      d := to_date(:p1_date_item, 'DD-MON-YYYY');

      return true;

    exception

      when others
      then
        if sqlcode between -1899 and -1800
        then
          -- Date format error
          return false;
        else
          -- Unexpected error
          raise;
        end if;

    end;

    my date is in the following format: DD-MMM-AA

    There is no format 'MMM' model. And do not use 2-digit year formats: which caused bad enough already.

  • Which fields in assets make it unique? Also, what date format is planned?

    I was able to insert a record of capital test against an account using the accountname on this asset class field, but if I run it again the insert creates a capital duplicate record. Which fields in assets make it unique so that I can ensure failure when duplicates are tempted?

    Also, when I try to insert data from a date field in the assets it does not appear on the record after insertion. I use the .net datetime field and can see the format MM/DD/YYYY time when the insert is executed.

    No assistance on the above would be very useful, thank you in advance!

    All types of records in CRM On Demand have their ID (account ID, AssetId, OpportunityId...) field which makes them unique. In the case of account, uniqueness is also applied by the combination of the fields name and location (no record of two account cannot have the same name and location). Unfortunately, I do not think that it is such a key for the assets leaving AssetId might be your best bet.

    Regarding the datefield format, I found this in the Oracle® Web Services on application Guide Version 4.0 (Oracle CRM On Demand
    Exit 16)

    Date and time fields
    The date and time in Oracle CRM On Demand fields are in the following format:
    MM/DD/YYYY HH: mm:

    I hope this helps.

  • Receive error message when calculating the two fields with different date format

    I'm more familiar with SQL Server and Oracle, then after a search online without success, I ask here.

    I use developer PL/SQL with DB Oracle 11g Release 11.2.0.2.0 Enterprise 64-bit

    MyTable:

    ID_Number VarChar2

    Date of Date_Received

    Select ID_Number,

    Date_Received,

    To_Date (substr (ID_Number, 1.6), "YYMMDD") SentDate,.

    Date_Received - NumDays To_Date (substr (ID_Number, 1.6), "YYMMDD")

    FROM MyTable

    Where substr (ID_Number, 7.3) in ('ABC', 'ABD')

    and length (Trim (translate ((substr (ID_Number, 1,6)), '0123456789',' '))) a null value

    ID_Number Date_Received SentDate NumDays

    131002ABC1654106 10/16/10/2013-2013 14 2

    131004ABD8813899 4/12/2013-4/8/2013 4

    131014ABD1844832 10/16/10/14 OF 2013-2013 2

    Sometimes the first 6 characters in the ID_Number aren't the numbers and length (Trim (translate deletes records))

    I want just the records where NumDays > 2

    I tried to put the request in a subquery and using where NumDays > 2 outside.  I also tried using the calculation directly in the Where clause.  Without it in Where clause it works very well, with him in a place, I get the following error:

    ORA-01931: Date format picture ends before converting all of the input string

    I don't know how to put the two dates in the same format.  I tried to declare the format without result.  I don't understand how I can calculate in the selection, but do not use the same calculation in Where clause.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello

    SQL is a language to describe the desired results.  How the system gets these results belongs to you don't have much say about which conditions will be applied when.

    One place where you can control the order of things is a CASE expression.  When you say

    CASE

    WHEN condition_1

    THEN expression_1

    END

    You can be sure that expression_1 will be evaluated only when cond_1 is set to TRUE.

    Try something like this:

    WITH got_sent_date AS

    (

    SELECT id_number, date_received

    CASE

    WHEN the TRANSLATION (SUBSTR (id_number, 1, 6)

    , 'x' 0123456789 '.

    , 'x'

    ) IS NULL

    THEN TO_DATE (SUBSTR (id_number, 1-6)

    , "YYMMDD".

    )

    END AS sent_date

    FROM MyTable

    WHERE (id_number, 7, 3) SUBSTR ("ABC", "ABD")

    )

    SELECT id_number

    date_received

    sent_date

    , date_received - sent_date AS num_days

    OF got_sent_date

    WHERE date_received > sent_date + 2

    ;

    If you would care to post some sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements) and the results desired from this data, I was able to test this.

    Of course, you'll still errors of execution if id_number starts with 6 digits, but they do not have to be valid, for example '131100' or '130229'.  This is one of the reasons why the date information storage in VARCHAR2 columns are a bad idea.  To work around this problem, see

    Below him is based on my date format NLS source Oracle database as DD-MON-RR (query on the database - SELECT * > OF nls_database_parameters WHERE the PARAMETER = "NLS_DATE_FORMAT").

    Note that this is not altered by the connection of the RPD pool, which is common.

    If the date that I put together for substrings and Casts a match before it can be LAUNCHED as a DATE. IE 31 July 15 etc.

    Steps to follow:

    -Drag a field to the report, one

    -Change the formula

    -Paste in

    CAST ("31 - Jul -" |) SUBSTRING (CAST ('F_PL_BAL'. ' BUSINESS_DATE ' AS CHAR) FROM 8 TO 2) AS DATE).

    -OK

    -See the results
