  Upgrade to a recent version of Thunderbird, I can't filter my search by date more. The date format lost slashes (' 31/12/2014'-> '31122014') and date filtering doesn't work anymore, the filter seems to be non-existent.
  I right click on the Inbox folder and the search window opens as an attachment. No date filter whatsoever is applied.
  It is used properly before work.
  I also checked the settings/options of date format, but they seem to be properly defined exactly as before (according to the Italian standard DD/MM/YYYY).
  We run windows 7 and the Italian localization of tuberculosis, the most recent version.
  It's the same thing to my colleagues (we use Thunderbird in our office), and I checked that this change took place only who has auto-update function on. Once you update, you lose the ability to search by date criteria.

  When you type less than 3 characters in the search box, the option is to Google search. Less than 4 characters, the options are Google and the corresponding entries in the address book.   Hi, I would like to be able to search for specific files mp3 and m4a files based on their bitrate, IE search for files with a bitrate to 128KBit.

  Windows Search does not include a searchable property for the bitrate, but Windows Explorer can indicate the rate on view Mp3 files.  For example, you can sort and filter the search results by bit rate and group your files in this way.

  For example, if the files in question are in your folder of music and its subfolders, click music in the left pane of Windows Explorer.  Now paste this query into the search engine:

  ext:MP3

  Now, right-click on a column heading in the right pane and add the property of spleen in the view. Click the bitrate column header to sort the display rate.  Now click the drop down menu on the same header and choose "near CD quality' in the list.  This filter the search results so that only files recorded to 128 or more appear.

  Unfortunately, the Vista does not support the M4a format, so speeds of transmission of these files are not visible in Windows Explorer.

  Indexing is not necessary for the search function.  It is only necessary for the use of the libraries feature and to be able to search for files in the search/ORB box start and also to allow to change the options to search for specific file types.  In any case, I did a test earlier - apparently Windows 7 search search files for all the texts present xml content.  I found this link which describes the hoops to jump through.  We must be able to search xml files in plain text to the search, not the default filter special MS to xml files.

• Filter KeywordFilterField customized for the tabular data model

  I am currently looking for the rows in the table that is filtered through the KeywordFilterField. The underlying data are in table form:

  Contact {name, phone, etc etc}

  The KeywordFilterField shows only what I pass to it (Contact.Name) by calling setSourceList() and filters that the channels in the list. So if I get the numbers, which will return a list empty, because none of the Contacts have numbers in their names.

  However, what I want to do is query the table, like a SQL query, retrieve lines that correspond to a part of Contact.Name or Contact.Phone. (Remember this application don't use SQLite.) I'm using RMS to persistent storage and I created my database and queries of base by hand.)

  Is there a way I could customize/override the filter query so that the KeywordFilterField calls my query functions rather than it's default filter String? It is a base with search CRUD application. I use KeywordFilterField because it's everything I need.

  Any help would be useful.

  It is possible with a text field and a list field, this way you can make your own personalized search for the keyword filter field does not search your data the way you want.   "Find" my address book function does not work.  I have a 1000 contacts and anything (that) I'm trying to look upwards until it says * no. addresses *.

  You can use the syntax:

  filename:xyz * .mdl

  Note that file:xyz*.mdl is equivalent to filename:xyz * .mdl, but an additional symbol ~ is necessary with the equivalent of the so-called name: ~ xyz * .mdl to properly manage the wildcard character.  (file name, file and the name are supposed to be the same)

  I know that I am probably post again a question has been asked hundreds of times before... But the research question of Windows 7 even been taken down like a real fault? There is no other way I can see to ask this question outside not be re-directed to a forum looking for answers, then see frustration of countless other users, so I put back on with a new post.

  In short, I guess the question I ask is when users want to find a file by name, why they are not getting the results they are looking for and if it is a question of indexation why?

  Search has changed over the years. Modern versions of Windows have so many files that the default search will filter all files it think users don't want to see. It works fine most of the time, but if a user starts using non-standard file types can cause an immense amount of frustration.

  It is always nice to have alternatives to the risk of re - direct you once again here is even more:

  I use a hierarchical keywording for animal taxonomy, it is based on the "official" latin names, vernacular names in different languages are included as synonyms.

  Is there a a way to search for keywords using their synonyms? The search box seems to be limited to the only keyword and don't look for synonyms.

  Just to clarify what's doing with LR: when searching by keyword in the filter library bar or with a smart collection, LR search of synonyms. However, as you have noticed, when you use the keywords filter box in the list of keywords, synonyms Panel are ignored.  In addition, you can enter a synonym in the Keywording Panel (if you try it, LR silently will create a new keyword for you).  It seems that LR 2 had the ability to filter the list of keywords by synonyms and use synonyms to apply keywords, but that functionality has been removed in LR 3.

  My Tag no matter what plugin handles synonyms as you wish, but it was designed for a particular workflow and may not be to your liking.
