  I finally solved the problem.  I had to save the printer from a Microsoft Windows computer.  Google browser where you normally register a Cloud Print printer (manage settings, advanced settings, Google Cloud Print,), still has not seen the printer even if 10 of Microsoft Windows and IE Explorer saw the Brother printer as the default printer. First I made sure that I was connected to my Google account.  Still does not see the printer on Google Chrome.  Then I went to https://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/printers.html# clicked on the tab "Try it Now".  Voila!  First time something named "Chrome" given the printer.  I chose the printer and the printer wireless now working on all of my devices.

  had to go to the properties of the computor, advanced system properties, system, device installation settings and game to install drivers from windows update if it is not found on my computer.

  Then, it would finally be search on windows update for drivers, but would not yet find a driver even from windows update to the printer when installing it as a network printer.

  I had to add a printer as a local printer, and then select Create a new port, local port, and the port name, I had to enter the path through the network computer to the printer (as "\\desktopname\printername").

  Then and only then, did that pick me from a list of printers, and we found a driver on windows update.

  Yet once again, I appreciate your help! Looks like we may have learned something from this experience.

  Apparently not all printers DCP mind are compatible, but most that were compatible with the OS 10.10.x always conform to their page.

  I have a Brother HL-2140 connected to my Windows Vista-32 business PC via USB.  Big prints... it is shared.  I have a second PC under Windows Vista-32 business and installed the shared printer and it prints fine.  I have a laptop with Windows 7-64 Home Premium and I am trying to install the shared printer.  I downloaded all of the current drivers through the Brother's Web site and used two disks supplied with the printer (all operating systems on a disk) and Windows 7 as a disk separated.  I tried to install all versions of drivers to be sure.  I plugged the printer directly on the laptop and the printer prints very well.

  When you try to install the shared printer, I physically point the right laptop *. INF file, but it always says that "Windows can't find a driver...". »

  Just as a side note... Brother says on its website that the HL-2140 is compatible Windows 7.

  I've seen a lot of posts that contains 7 and XP issues... but I have not found any post for 7-64, Vista-32 sharing.

  Well this Chipset Trident CyberALADDiN-T (called Napa2T) was built in three Types of Toshiba laptops.

  The 6000 Satellite TE2000 and Satellite 6050. (Driverversion all with Version 5.01.2527.0128)

  Normally the drivers that you will find on the Pages of the manufacturer are not the real drivers. Only they are updating the drivers if there are known issues.

  So the only chance for you is to look threw the internet and look if someone else has used this graphics chip and offer are a newer driver than Toshiba.

  Sorry for the response, but I had the same problem with my Machine, but is a more recent revision of driver on another page of manufacturer.
