find some command line parameters

Hello

Did someone knows a way to search for the following settings using the controls esxcfg command-line *?

Set up, Promiscuous on all port groups Mode

Definition of change of address Mac (refuse/accept)

Forged transmissions setting (deny/accept)

We had problems with the VI API - Perl screw up a certain essential Perl CPAN module (http://communities.vmware.com/thread/186321) so I hope to avoid having to install on all of our ESX servers to be able to use a script to make sure that these settings are set the way we want to.

This can be accomplished using vimsh

@ the vSwitch level:

[root@himalaya backup_test]# vmware-vim-cmd hostsvc/net/vswitch_info | grep -E '(name|allowPromiscuous|macChanges|forgedTransmits)'
      name = "vSwitch0",
               allowPromiscuous = false,
               macChanges = true,
               forgedTransmits = true,
      name = "vSwitch1",
               allowPromiscuous = false,
               macChanges = true,
               forgedTransmits = true,
      name = "vSwitch5",
               allowPromiscuous = false,
               macChanges = true,
               forgedTransmits = true,

@ level of portgroup:

vmware-vim-cmd hostsvc/net/config | grep -E '(name|allowPromiscuous|macChanges|forgedTransmits)'

In addition, you should not install all the modules perl on the ESX host to use the VI API, they are already exposed using WSDL.

    I'm under 64-bit Windows 7 and WMP 12. Currently, I'm trying to write a script that plays a playlist of videos using the full screen. My current attempt at the command line is

    start the wmplayer /Playlist myvideos.wpl /fullScreen

    so that the player starts but it only takes the playlist or is the player in full screen. Any ideas? I have two screens with different resolutions, connected to the computer.

    Hi Thomas,

    You need not explicitly specify the playlist format (.cpl, etc.) when you try to play the playlist.

    Try again with the following command and check to see if that fixes the problem:

    start the wmplayer /Playlist my /fullscreen videos

  • Change the command line parameters without having to restart LabVIEW

    Is it possible to change the command line parameters passed to a VI WITHOUT having to restart LabVIEW?  Maybe I'm used to how it works just about any other development environment, but to have to do is quite frustrating.

    ronbrown,

    Unfortunately, you'll have to close LabVIEW to pass parameters in a VI of the command prompt. You can build your VI in an executable file, and then pass parameters from the command prompt.  Because the program is its own executable file, it is not dependent on wheter LabVIEW is open.

  • VBS script does not have command line parameters

    Suddenly the VBS scripts that I use for several years is no longer work correctly on Windows 7.  By "suddenly" I mean they worked Wednesday and do not work on Friday, two days later.  There were / are two incidents:

    First of all, the program default for the extension VBS WScript to CScript changed.  CScript would scripts pretty well, except that my scripts are designed to run in debug mode under CScript, with many calls MsgBox, and I need them to run unattended.

    So I re-associated .vbs WScript.  Now the question is that WScript.Arguments.Count always returns 0 even when the script is invoked with command-line parameters.  I checked with the command FTYPE that Windows is configured to pass arguments to WScript:

    C:\>Assoc .vbs
    .vbs = VBSFile

    C:\>ftype VBSFile
    VBSFile="%SystemRoot%\System32\WScript.exe" "%1" % *.

    It's as if a Windows Update has suddenly dropped support for the %

    If anyone else has noticed this?  I can't go to CScript - I wrote dozens of scripts that I designed to behave differently under CScript or WScript.

    OS = Win 7 Pro 64-bit SP1

    In the meantime, I'm going to see events in the event viewer to see if this box received updates, MS or otherwise.

    Thank you for responding.  The content of the registry that you have provided is almost identical to one that I exported from a work computer.  The only difference was in the placement of the @= line "VBScript Script file", so I tried to import them both.  No one changed the behavior.

    Fortunately, this isn't a problem only when I need to type command-line parameters.  So I also tape "WScript" before the name of the script before you press Enter.

    I don't think I'll do more to solve problems, but I'll keep trying all the answers in this thread that look promising.

    Hello
    Check this key?

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.vbs

    You can export and send the content here. The value under "UserChoice" is most likely the culprit. And remove "UserChoice" key should straighten this issue.

    I wrote a plugin that processes an open document. The treatment can be started by selecting a menu item in Acrobat. To start the processing of the command line, I also wrote a small Visual Basic executable file that currently a bit activates the menu command. • How Windows to determine which file to run with some command line commands?

    I had someone ask me an interesting question, and I really didn't have a good answer for them.  We were talking about the command prompt.  I showed them how they could start some programs simply by typing a command at the command prompt.  Their question is how is it, some files require a full path to start?  Also how the Windows does not know which file to run when the 'explorer' simple as orders are entered?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi, Deedubbadoo,

    Their question is how is it, some files require a full path to start?

    You can have some files in the same directory that share the same file name but have different extensions. For example, you might have a file named compta.com can launch an accounting program and another called Accnt connects your system to the accounting system network.

    The operating system searches for a file by using default file name extensions in the following order of precedence: .exe, .com, .bat, and. cmd to run Accnt so that compta.com exists in the same directory, you must include the .bat extension in the command line.

    If a component of a path is a file name, it must be the last element

  • Widget: reading of the call command line parameters

    Hello

    I use a Blackberry Web plug-in for Eclipse Version: 2.5.0.201009142140 - 15.

    I try to call a widget from a Java Application, passing a parameter to the main html page.

    My config.xml file has the following line

    In the Java application, I try to call:

    String param = "TestParam"String url = "TestObjJava?param=" + param;
    ApplicationManager appmanager = ApplicationManager.getApplicationManager();
    appmanager.launchApplication(url);

    This launches the application, but params are lost, in the widget the window.location.href has followind value:

    http://external_server/index.html

    so I can't read the TestParam inside my Widget.

    Is possible to read parameters invoke from within the javascript widget?

    It looks like your java code is the syntax of type of mismatch, should be:

    String url = "TestObjJava?" + param;

    or if have more than one params:

    String url = "TestObjJava?" + param1 + "&" + param2 + "&" + param3;

  • CAP of the command line and the 8800

    I have a terrible time this morning trying to release some software for the Blackberry 8800. In our generation, we have been calling the compiler of Cap 4.3.0 of the command line (which I always have loads of doubts) generating a cod file and unzip for OTA deployment. It worked ok for 8830 phones so far. Once we started to try to do the same thing for 8800 phones we hit a major roadblock. We started to experience random errors when loading our application on the device. (The problem is also reproduced in the AT & T 4.2.1 emulator.) Sometimes the application will work but only on a particular plu model Cingular blackberry where as our QA guy has a bit newer model phone. The application will also work if it is compiled using slightly different source code. The source code that causes a failure will run when compiled and loaded on the same device a build running with the other working source code. After attending the recent virtual conference, I learned that the compiler is not backward compatible. In other words, the CAP generated 4.3.0 cod files will not work on devices with an OS older than 4.3.0. My immediate reaction was to return to the version of the CAP to 4.2.0 and try again. I hit another block when I started having:

    WARNING! : no entry point found
    com.mypkg.MyMidlet: WARNING! : no definition not found [INFO] com.rim.resources.MyProjectRIMResources: error! : class: com.mypkg.MyMidlet has no members:

    So, I upped the version 4.2.1 retries and still got the error. Compiler error goes away with the 4.3.0 CAP but I'm not confident to go into production by using this compiler and targeting the older operating system. I use the same exact command line parameters in both cases. (I pass the flag - midelt and MyMidlet has a public ctor). Can someone tell me what has changed between 4.2.0 and 4.3.0. Y at - it another option or another flag that I have to give. Research on the error, suggests that the old compiler assumes a CLDC application instead of a Midlet. Could someone also explain if there is a problem to start the 4.3.0 SignatureTool.jar against the binaries generated by older Cap (if ever make us it work), targeting older OS 4.2.1? I am desperately looking for answers... Thanks in advance!

  • How can I enter in the start page of the command line "firefox.exe"?

    I want to write a script to use firefox to download information about a series of addresses on a street.
