Find the DROP TABLESPACE (or USER) SNA

Hello

is it possible to know the RCS of the DROP TABLESPACE command DROP USER? Then, I would use it for RMAN incomplete recovery.

I thought to use the minor of the newspaper, but all that I could find was Metalink document 93370.1 describing how to find the RCS of a DROP TABLE command.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Kind regards

  • Cannot find the drop down bookmarks menu?

I've held off updating Firefox to 28 later due to several reasons, one of them being the look of Chrome-like that hurts my eyes (just don't ask). Fortunately, the CTR has been created, and I've finally updated to version 34. And I'm not happy at all. There is an icon for Favorites bar SIDE, but not the menu drop down. There are also 2 icons in the sidebar of history and from the drop-down list story, so why the drop-down list of bookmarks missing? Much, I prefer the menu drop down and want to get it back.

I really don't understand why Mozilla is so easy to use. This is the reason why I started to use Firefox in the first place and I've been very loyal for years. I'm tempted to throw my laptop against the wall and never give up come reconnected because of this nonsense about "looks elegant. I would be grateful if someone could help me find the menu drop down and allow me to forget angry.

    Thank you.

Yep, looking for the button that I have included in my last post. Open new customization mode and look for the star icon is labeled "bookmarks". Drag the control to your toolbar and it will turn into two icons - you're a star (which can be used to quickly bookmark the page you are on), and the other opens the Bookmarks window.

I tried to put the tablespace OFFLINE and then drop. The changes appear after 3 to 4 minutes. But this "fix" doesn't work now.

I had to bounce once PB for this problem. But I still have the same question.
All the world faced a similair problem?

    Hello

It is true that it is a normal behavior on Unix file system.

To avoid this, you can next time (it's too late for that drop Tablespace) drop the contents of the Tablespace, and RESIZE its data to a very low value (for example 128 K) files.

Then, you drop the Tablespace with the data files. However the OS's features would have already recovered you more space used by this Tablespace.

Otherwise, to recover space, you may need to restart your database, it may be sufficient.

    Hope this helps.

  • Find the number of authorized users

Is there a place in the e-Business Suite that stores the number of users that you have a license for? I am looking for our paperwork and it does not appear to be in the stack of things, I was given the previous person. Short call oracle I was kind of hoping there was where it was stored. Thank you

    Hello

The number of authorized users is not stored in the database/application. Contact your Oracle sales representative to determine how users (or perhaps processors) you are authorized to use, this should be mentioned in the support contract.

  • Where can I find the Windows password and user name information

I download a new system from my computer and everything was going well until they asked my Windows username and password. I do not remember, and I can't find. Can you get it someone please let me know where I should look... Thank you

    Hello, dreamcatcher16

Please use the Forum for answers!

You upgrade to Windows Vista or Windows 7?

You can get your username by going to C:\Users\ and find your user name under Windows Vista and C:\Documents and Settings\ for Windows XP.

We are unable to provide assistance with respect to the recovery of a password.

If you are able to connect to your machine and have administrator rights, you can then change your password by clicking on start, right-click on computer and choose manage. Open the users section and groups, then users, right click on your account and choose set password.

    I hope this helps.

  • Find the drop Linux directory

    Hi all

We have a two-node cluster and another file-sharing server. I want to know where is stored the RPD, I guess it should be in the file sharing server so that both nodes can share that RPD. Is that correct, or is the RPD in both server nodes? Using EM or WLS what I can see the RPD origin, such as the server name and the directory? Or y at - it another way for me to know.

Thanks for your time and your help.

If you use grouping the repository will be in the shared file, so that the two node servers can access.

If you want to see the path of the repository, which you can access via EM through the deployment repository.

  • How to find the user name and a name indatapump import tablespace

I have a datapump without the export log file. I would like to import it into a database. Before you begin the import, I would like to know the schema and the tablespace which exported so that I can remap the schema and the tablespace to others. Is there anyway that I can do

You can run your import command, but add this:

    include tablespace, sqlfile = look.sql user =

The look.sql file will have the tablespace create orders and orders for the user to create.

Edit look.sql to see what are the names of tablespace and user.

  • Application of segment SS Enqueue and fate on 8.1.7.4 after attempting to drop the temp tablespace

We have a case opened with the support of the Oracle, but I thought I'd throw it out there if it's ok.

We have a 8.1.7.4 database running on HP - UX 11.11 PA-Risc and it looks like any session that wants to use a temp space is hung a SS enqueue or in some cases is waiting on a waiting "sort request of the segment.

Saturday, we tried to move all users to a new temporary tablespace and drop the old one but the drop suspended and we control-C out of it.  We put the users to the original temp.  Note that both the old and the new temporary tablespaces are managed locally.

Before trying to leave falling the old tablespace temp that we killed the existing sessions, including one who had worked for two weeks and has been hooked on SMON.

Query v$ fast_start_transactions and x$ ktuxe indicate that SMON is back any large transaction.

In addition, SMON seems to run this query always:

SELECT file #, block #, LENGTH

    The UET $

    WHERE the ts # =: 1 AND segfile # =: 2 AND segblock # =: 3 AND ext # =: 4

Here are the locks held by SMON for what it's worth:

ADDR KADDR SID TY ID1 ID2 LMODE CTIME BLOCK REQUEST
    ---------------- ---------------- ---------- -- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------
    C000000028C43CD8 C000000028C43CF8 74 16 4 0 59610 TT 8 0

    C000000028C1CB38 C000000028C1CB58 8 ST 0 0 6 0 13 0

    ST, space management Transaction
    TS, temporary Segment (also TableSpace)
    TT, temporary Table

Same database has a recovery scenario about a month or to go back due to some deleted data files.  Also, during the holidays, we had to rebuild a global index huge and increased our tablespace temp to get it, which is why we strive to reduce now create a smaller.  In addition, creating index was still holding in the tablespace existing managed dictionary so we ended up move the index to a managed locally.  Also, UET$ has about 33,000,000 lines and most of the data is in the dictionary managed tablespaces.  Dba_free_space queries typically take 30 minutes to return - that is, we know it is messed up and has been so for a long time.

Pleasure for us.  If anyone has an idea that would be great.

    -Bobby

Tablespace name I really used corresponded to ts #= 74 in v$ tablespace.

We plan to rebuild the other indexes in this space in a new locally managed tablespace and then drop the tablespace existing managed dictionary.  My only question is whether corruption will drop the tablespace to fail.

    Hi Bobby,.

I'm not sure of your current situation hope now, that's better.

I couldn't find the time to reply back yesterday. Looking at the huge amounts of temporary segments in your tablespace (74), just made me think if you or Support of Oracle were you made aware of an event DROP_SEGMENTS which is an event of users can invoke to clear temporary segments. It deletes the temporary segments such as the SMON in the background. This event has the advantage of not having the CPU consumed by SMON.

47400.1 Note : EVENT: DROP_SEGMENTS - forcing cleanup of TEMPORARY segments

There is also a method to the dictionary (changes) patch (not recommended if not). You can enlist the help of Oracle Support

The method is to identify the segment (which you already have) and update the segment_type from temporary to 999.

388619.1 Note: last resort when SMON takes 100% of CPU
