  • "Cannot find the dbcodes file": PeopleSoft database Configuration Wizard

    Hello

I am setting up a new installation of PeopleSoft, based on a copy of the record of my client PS_HOME. I installed before PeopleSoft, but I used the latest versions and started from scratch. Now I use PS HRMS 8.9 and PT 8.48 on a Windows 2003 server. I followed the manual to install 8.48 PT (installation of third party tools, using configuration manager), except for the wizard to install PT, because the files are already there. I changed all config files I had to include suitable locations for PS_HOME, Oracle database drivers, etc.

Now, I'm trying to use the database Configuration Wizard to automate the creation of the database using Oracle 10.1.0.5.0. After you have selected a non-unicode database, I click Next, select the character set, and then when I click Next again once I get the message "Cannot find the dbcodes file."

I checked in the folder PS_HOME/setup and there are two dbcodes files: dbcodes.pt and dbcodes.hc. It is originally a kind of confusion, or the wizard missing the dbcodes file somewhere else? Or maybe that's another question altogether, I'm not sure.

    Thanks for the help.

To start with PS_APP_HOME introduced in PeopleTools 8.52.

On the road to Peoplesoft: Peopletools 8.52: the PS_APP_HOME variable

As you run on PeopleTools 8.48, the application is installed in the PS_HOME.

ptengs. DB is used to create a single database of PeopleTools, you try to create a database of HCM. This file will not be used when creating your database.

If you want to create your copy of HCM all files from 'PS_APP_HOME' to PS_HOME database and start Data Mover with option to create database.

    Should do the trick.

    Hi Sameer,

This topic has been discussed on this forum last month, with some good ideas:

    Exadata version

Also note that the V2 and X 2 have gone through several rounds of material during their life, so not all machine V2 have the same CPU features, for example.

    See you soon!

    Scott,

When you check the status of the two tunnels of the CLI, check the following:

HS cry isa--> of his watch as active or QM_IDLE

HS cry ips his--> shows the packages encrypted/decrypted

The second tunnel does not properly come upwards, should ensure that policies correspond to the two ends of the tunnel.

If this second tunnel is started but does not traffic, we might have a problem NAT or routing.

    Federico.

Its kind of manual labor without usage tracking, you can look in the NQQuery.log

Try to implement the follow-up, the use that would help you to know about the monitoring of the use.

Thank you very much for all you can shed light

    Expand on Dan's response.

#results. USNCreated # is a reference to the entire column.  This shortcut is allowed inside of a or a loop.  But if you want to access the record set directly outside one of these structures of loop, you must use the query.column [full row] or ["column"] [rank] query syntax.

  • Mail application cannot find the user/Library/Mail folder

    Hello

Recently my laptop crashed and I had to reinstall first OSX 10.5.8, so I've updated to 10.6.8 and now I have the latest version of El Capitan.

In the first two versions relocated I could normally restart Mail with my backup files restored (had to reinstall all the good e-mail accounts), but now I want to open the mail application in El Capitan and it won't open, saying that it does not find a user/Library/Mail folder. But it IS a Mail folder and there all the restored items and folders inside.

I also find the file com.apple.mail.plist in my preferences, I thought that maybe that was the problem, but it seems that it is not.

    Can anyone help please?

If the folder you want is "user/Library/Mail" then the folder in fact does not exist.  Try instead "~/Library/Mail.

Maybe it's because I disabled the camera to prevent other people using the computer?

    Hello

    1. what operating system is installed on your system?

    2. were you able to see it sooner?

    3. are you referring to the AppData folder?

I suggest you view hidden files and folders option and check if it helps.
