  Here's what I'm running:
  Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1, fully updated to 04/10/2012
  New installation of Firefox 11. No add-on enabled following troubleshooting.

  For starters, this has happened since Firefox 10 or more. A couple of months now.

  I am able to open Firefox. My modules worked (ABP, Flashblock, ABP Element Hiding Helper, IETAB2, Downthemall, Greasemonkey, extension of 4chan) had no problem. Firefox is defined and has been fixed for the past two years as my default browser.

  But since about 10 or so, maybe Firefox before, if I opened a session of Firefox and any other application attempts to open a session in a new window, I get the Firefox is already running but not responding do not error. »

  I tried to follow the advice of already posted troubleshooting (glance to parent.lock files left [no date], several sessionstore.js [no date] files, create a new user profile, has tried to erase the 'read only' permission in windows 7, but as soon as it is cleared, only read permission back.)

  As a last resort, I deleted the Firefox folder, the directory %APPDATA%/Mozilla in its entirety and then used CCleaner to remove all references to Firefox in the windows registry, and then made a complete re - install, without extensions installed right now.

  I checked the preferences and have the option "open new windows in a new tab" checked. The problem persists without worrying if this option is checked or not. This problem persists in or out of safe mode, even with the new facility.

  Test case:

  All cases:
  Firefox is selected as the default browser for windows 7

  Case 1: Log in to firefox. Use any other program that is trying to open a link to their Web site in a new window browser or the new browser session. "Firefox is already running" error

  Case 2: Open a firefox session. Right click on Firefox in the taskbar. Select 'open in new window '. "Firefox is already running" error

  Case 3: Open a session of firefox. Select the Firefox Menu > new tab > new window. In fact, a new window opens.

  This is the only method of opening a new window in the same browser session or profile that actually works on my system. Attempting to open a browser session from the task bar "open new window dialog" or opening a new window while a current window/session is running will not open firefox in a new window or a new tab in the current session. The "Firefox is already running, but is not responding" error will occur every time.
  

  Make sure that you do not start Firefox with the - No.-remote switch or have defined the MOZ_NO_REMOTE = 1 environment variable (Control Panel > system > advanced > environment variables).

  I have the same problem, but the difference is in the opening of the MS WORD hyperlinks to download documents (for example http://ntv.spbstu.ru/2011/hss_2011_3.pdf#page=145 ). This link wants to call MS IE.

  Hi Peter, to activate different bars on and outside, including the Menu bar, you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select the desired bar (s) there:

  • Right click on a place empty on the tab bar (or the button '+')
  • Press the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar > view > toolbars
  • in customize mode > show/hide toolbars (see: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars)

  To activate the menu bar, toolbar bookmarks or other bars, click it in the list.

  Is - that you are looking for?

  If something isn't quite right, it is possible that an extension has been tweaking the menu/toolbar area...

  On my Windows 7 PC parents, Firefox always said my mother is not the default browser (giving him the possibility to make sure) and then when closing, he pinned himself to the task bar.

  I checked and Firefox to default programs "has its flaws. I tried to get IE by default and then back to Firefox but the problem persists. The PC has no other browsers on it. Clicklinks in Thunderbird cause Firefox open, there'S no so it seems as if it is actually the default.

  When Firefox is closed it still pin himself to the taskbar. I can detach it and when it closes, it is still there.

  Search on Google, I have a suspicion that pinning occurs when the default configuration of Firefox. I also have a suspicion that something is wrong with the default for HTTP as it does not exist as a protocol to control custom Programs\Set Associations

  I have it solved!

  The command "Firefox.exe - silent - setDefaultBrowser" seems to have restored the HTTP protocol in control custom Programs\Set Associations.

• Version 9.0.1 opens on a Google page, with no option of Firefox menu available and no obvious way to access and modify. Firefox is configured as the default browser. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times - same result. Version 8 was fine.

  Once installed, the icon of Firefox opens a Google web browser page that has no toolbar or the navigation buttons. He won't go to Firefox with Google as a research tool. It doesn't seem to be a way to get Firefox.

  Ive lost the flash cards used for the drop-down list at the top of the screen. Tried several different things, including updating the drivers from the Web site.
  At the moment, some of the function keys work ok, IE works brightness, lock - but the wireless economy and the key is more energy.

  Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It is my understanding that some keys have stopped working after upgrading to El Capitan. I can see how it would be concerning, in particular, as it happens with two keyboards. I'm happy to help you to get this resolved with you.

  At this point I recommend that you test this problem in safe mode. From your iMac in safe mode lets your computer run some checks and prevent some software loading automatically. The following steps will help to start in safe mode:

  1. Start or restart your Mac.
  2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
  3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

  After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.

  To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.

  Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

  If the problem does not occur in safe mode, follow the steps described in the section "If a problem does not occur in safe mode" from the link above.   Hi Karen, normally you can remove the default values for your default browser existing using its Application settings. After you do this, under default launch, it should say "No set of default values." When you select this setting for Chrome or whatever your current default browser, it stubbornly remains the default value or the function is broken somehow?

  There is a way to remove all preferences default application for Android should give you the choice of links or other types of documents/addresses, but I've not tried it myself. When you are in settings > Applications > "All" press the menu button (3-point or a physical button depending on your device) and search for "reset preferences app.

• With Firefox 4, I lost the bookmark all facilities page. Is there a way to do this? I found it very useful.

  With the previous levels of Firefox, I could to bookmark all tabs in a window in a single operation and then retrieve all, or just selected ones.
  I don't seem to have this in Firefox 4 and I find it a shame.

  Is it possible to do the same at level 4?

  You can right-click on a tab and select Bookmark all tabs... or use Ctrl-Shift-D.

  If so try to re-registration of the device by going to Options | Advanced options | The host routing table. Select the "BOLD" entry, press the menu button and select Save now.   What SW version running on the set? If the latest version of 7.1.92.61.01.1, don't you RESET the game after that network update was finished?
  If this is not the case, can you please try?
