Firefox continues to make me use Yahoo waste
I changed it to Google once. Now, after an update, Mozilla thought it would be cute to return to Yahoo crap. I hate Yahoo and now I hate Firefox. Have fun losing market share jerkfaces.

So maybe tell me that whenever I update Firefox it changes again in trash Yahoo fell on deaf ears. I'm glad to hear it.
I misunderstood. So you say that you have changed the default to Google search engine, but it has been changed to return to Yahoo again, after updating to Firefox 35. That should happen only if you went on a download site like www.mozilla.org to get the installer of Firefox 35 and executed the Firefox configuration file. It should not happen if you use the built-in Firefox update. See: Update Firefox to the latest version

New installation of Windows 7 x 64.
First program I have installed is Firefox... and I did have the time in the last three weeks to install anything else.
Whenever Firefox has updated these last few weeks, the default search engine continues to get back to Yahoo. If this is part of the agreement with Yahoo Search, then I'm history; I use Chrome instead of Firefox, although I have sorely missed it. I don't like having to go make adjustments each time I install an update of Firefox.

(1) firefox lasted at least a minute before the crash saying firefox has encountered an unspecified error and will be released. Then the area of sending accident report would open.
(2) where he worked; my muse maintained suspended, as if unplug you the unit and plug in, no problem on other browsers with the same sites, but on fox, he did.Corrective measures:
(1) I disabled all addons and extensions without dice.
(2) re not installed using beta v 15 then 16 then 16 now no dice
(3) re installed windows and installed Firefox works fine but when I import my stuff from backup even without addons and extensions (using mozbackup) he starts problems. repeated step 2 but still zip.I have uninstall and install version 4. import all THE settings of plugins even extensions addons everything and it works like a charm.
Why the hell newer versions have a problem with it. ? they are supposed to be more resistant to crashes.
What is the brand and model of your mouse? You went to the makers website and downloaded the latest drivers?
Try to do this, make sure that Windows is perfectly day and then update to Firefox 16.0.1. If it still crashes I will ask for the ID of the accident. Firefox plant - troubleshoot and prevent assistance fixing crashes

After the update to Firefox 3.6.13 I continue to receive update notifications to version 3.6.13 after I installed the update and restarted Firefox. Looking at the tab "about Mozilla Firefox" using the specified version is 3.6.13.
This notification keeps appearing everytime I open Firefox. A few times while I use the browser to other tasks.

After updating Firefox, I am forced to use Yahoo when I open new tabs. Every time I change my Google search engine it changes it back to Yahoo. I found solutions for reset keyword.urI but guess it will not default to google as it was because of Firefox new partnership. I won't say what I feel now until this message and see if I'm more react.
Yes, your first reaction is certainly understandable - such behaviour would be of course against all that firefox is the abbreviation of (initially 'user choice').
Since these programs unwanted kind of shit often come in bulk, I also recommend you run a full scan of your system with different free security tools such as malwarebytes and adwcleaner - those who are specialized in the detection of the adware and browser hijackers.

I can see someone send me a blinking cat but I can't use it, nothing in the history of the conversation. How can I fix it?
Thank you
Bill.Hi bdnao02,
It looks like a known issue reported here:
https://Bugzilla.Mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=713014
There was a workaround solution posted, but I have not tested it myself.
The bug has been fixed in Firefox 10, then you might want to try installing the beta version if you feel that it is important enough.
Hope this helps!

Firefox continues to change the url that I entered
I've updated a Web site. When I paste the url in Firefox it keeps changing and display a different page.
The one I want is http://megalithmovers.org/blog-2015-10-24.htm
Firefox continues to change it to http://megalithmovers.org/blog-2015-01-24.htm
The two pages are valid (they have the date in the url as YYYY-MM-DD)
I know that the url is valid, that I stuck in other browsers. Somewhere FF has cached the page in January. Being too smart for that is good, it's settled I've mistyped the url and displays this page, not the one October.
I deleted all the history of this site, but that makes no difference. Please don't tell me to restore the FF default settings - I'll have to re - install all Addons then.

I had no problem with this link.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the < shift >

Hello!
It's happened since I got a virus a months ago who was preventing the computer to start. She came back from the repair shop and it begins again now. But after a few hours of using Firefox, this message pop up at random:
"Windows cannot find"C:\Windows\Program Mozilla Firefox Firefox\firefox.exe". Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. »
Example: http://www.risingroad.com/foxhound/faq/images/Windows%20cannot%20find%20firefox.jpgand Firefox still work after this message appears. I already uninstalled and installed new Firefox completely, and the message still appears upward. What this mean and is it harmful to the computer?
I'm on Windows 8
I had the pop up ads sensation can cause the problem and talked about it to the engineer in computer science from my father. It installs Malewarebytes and there was indeed still a maleware by repair men left. The difference was, Chrome to view the full announcement page while Firefox may have in maintaining security to block this kind of page, and the result was the error message. (I didn't know that because it happened to me on my computers to the precedents and even Firefox used to show me the ad then) Thank you for warning me.

How can I stop Firefox to redirect me to the Yahoo search engine
When I try to go to the official site for ATF Cleaner, Firefox redirects me to the Yahoo search engine.
I have removed all references to Yahoo in my registry and searched all the user for any reference to Yahoo profiles. I am running Firefox version 29.0.1 on Windows XP.It is also possible that this problem is due to an add-on, maybe one who snuck on your system as part of a bundle.
In the case where one of your extensions is concerned, could test the page Firefox Safe Mode? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.
You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:
- button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
- Help menu > restart with disabled modules
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still works
After stops in Firefox, a small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).
Any difference?

Firefox continues to try to update each time I open the browser, and it then puts a message saying update failed. It does this on both of my computers. We already have the latest version, the other does not. How can I stop Firefox to do this?
If there are problems with the implementation at day then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and remove the Firefox program folder to remove all remaining files.
Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 10.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible.
- Do NOT remove the data of a personal nature when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data, because all profile files will be deleted.
Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
Your bookmarks and other profile data stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.
