Firefox displays my website poorly; other browsers work fine.

I recently bought a new computer, and now my website (www.tree.org) shows italic! It is probably not the fault of the computer (ASUS 1215 B), because the problem appears only on Firefox. I've upgraded to the latest version (6.0), and it shows always in italics. In Google Chrome pages display correctly. However, my desktop computer, the same versions of Firefox, running is displayed correctly. I think my font file might be corrupted (Goudy Old Style), so I have not copied a known source of good font (from my other computer that is displayed properly) - no change. I tried to empty cache.

All I can figure out is that there is something between the ASUS processing and Firefox that is causing this. I have written also to ASUS, but this problem baffles me. Any ideas?

Based on what calibre or standard of the correct character?

Have you considered to set this web page so that web browsers afficheraient mode to standards, rather than the quirks mode, which forces the browser to guess how you want this page to be displayed?

  • Videos on youtube are restless and skippy, this only happens on firefox, other browsers work fine...

I started my computer this morning and everything seemed normal, again I am on youtube, each video, I tried to watch would not play correctly, even if yesterday things were very good, and I never had this problem before...
I had not been updated, installed or otherwise changed anything between two days and everything works fine...
Whenever I start a video sound has chopped and dumpsters/GAL since it does not follow... It's hard to describe... A bit like if you listen to a CD with a lot of scratches...
Initially, I assumed it was a problem of Flash Player... But after the update of Flash Player and Firefox to the latest versions, the problem persists...
Now, I guess it's a Firefox problem, because I tried to watch the videos in other browsers, and they play very well...
I have no idea what is the cause... And I would appreciate your help or you could give me solutions...
I'm not that big of a computer expert, so please forgive me for nothing seemingly obvious, I could have forgotten...
    Thanks in advance...

I know it's old, but one thing that try to solve this problem, I noticed a few months. YouTube is automatically to have some users using some browsers use HTML5 video.

Next time you get this video chopped, right click and click "on HTML5.

He will tell you that youtube has you automatically entered in their beta version and to withdraw, you click on the link at the bottom to stop seeing the HTML5 videos.

I hope that helps you, it helped me.

  • I lost volume with YouTube on Firefox - only. Other browsers work fine with Youtube?

F5 and other volume controls, including the speakers may not solve the problem. YouTube has been very good on Firefox forever, until last week. Now the volume is barely there at all. Everything ok with Chrome, if this is not the laptop?

  • Problems with IE8 placing div to the right place. Other browsers work fine.

My layout works in all browsers (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera and IE6 and 7), but not in IE8 or 9beta.

I tried to use definitions negative pixel in the css (margin, margin-top, down) and other simple stuff without result. This site is still developing but I have a few examples of online pages. Here is a link to one. http://www.redhousepottery.com/chimerasite/Hanks.html

I feel that a css hack is all that I have to solve this problem. I don't have enough practice at that time. Any help is appreciated!

Add the above to your meta code to emulate 7.0 and probably solve the problem, at least until you can find a fix in IE8.

    Help would be very appreciated.

This is going to be a problem with the proxy software incorrectly detect the version of your browser. The best solution will be for them to update their software proxy.

But you can work around this by tricking the proxy by thinking that you use Firefox 36.0 using an add-on like this.

Reset has been performed without any effect. Other browsers work fine. The firewall is configured correctly and no potentially conflicting software has been installed recently. The computer is generally clean from malware, without malicious modules have been found.

Firefox refuses to load everything except on: * tabs. I type in an address, press ENTER, firefox starts loading for a split moment, removes the address quickly and does nothing. No error message, no inaccessible Web site, no 404, just to clear the address bar and remains on the start page (which is always the default firefox one). I tried to access LAN and remote Web sites, I tried feeding the raw IP - same effect, firefox start indicate loading for approximately 750ms, then deletes the address and don't forget that never asked.

    How can I fix it?

Hello, please try to delete all entries from firefox to your firewall rules and let it detect the new version of browser again.

  • I can't type in Firefox (websites, other browsers work well)

When I start typing something on Facebook, or in my email, or comment on a blog, in Firefox, it will let me type a word or two and then nothing more. All other functions work fine, it's not frozen, but there is no response to what I've done with the keyboard. Other internet browsers and other programs work very well. It started with the SPACEBAR is slightly behind the other letters (so I typed a Word, you press space, had to wait for space to appear before I could type the next word) but now it's all.

I recently moved to another city, and after having my son set up my computer, I noticed that the Google Adsense ads that I placed on my website are not displayed in Firefox, but they show in other browsers. I updated to Java, cleared history and cache, etc and restarted my computer. And have not the ad blockers will. Other people I know are able to see the ads; as well as the staff of Google, who say that it is a problem with my computer. Any ideas what I can do?

    Hello

You can have a third party Safari installed third-party plugin or extension that prevents loading Safari Facebook.

In the Safari menu, click Safari > Preferences, and then select the tab Extensions extensions uninstall then leave then restart Safari to test.

If it is not a question of extensions, try troubleshooting third-party plug-ins.

Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the tab Security Deselect: plug-ins Allow. Quit and restart Safari to test.

  • Certain websites in Firefox do not display correctly, other browsers are fine.

Hi, for about a week my wife had problems loading certain websites. When she goes to Twitter or Pinterest example site will appear very basic with everything aligned to the left. However, everything works perfectly with other browsers like IE and Chrome. I've been watching people with similar problems and tried what worked for them, but nothing helps.

So far, we tried: clear the cache and cookies, performed a reinstall full Firefox while ensuring to remove records of Mozilla remains in Program Files and %APPDATA%\microsoft\windows\sendto thus, restart the modem/router, by doing an ipconfig/flushdns and finally to top it all the computer restarts.

Absolutely nothing has worked so far.

Update: it solved the problem. Oddly enough changing the date on the computer has solved the problem. Why is this?
