Firefox does not close properly

Hello

A new problem with Firefox occurs today. After turning on my machine, I can open firefox. When I close it, it does not close properly and leaves a firefox.exe running process. I so can not re - open firefox without going into the Task Manager and deleting process. A reboot of my machine did not help

  • Firefox does not close completely.

    So since I have updated to the new Firefox it does not completely close when I hit X to close. Then the next time I go to open it it says something like ' Firefox is open but does not close it before trying to open it again. Has not done this before and is getting pretty annoying having to open my task manager everytime I want to open Firefox.

    Is this a new problem with the new update, or something else in conflict?

  • Tecra A7: After using Record now does not close properly

    Hello

    I have a problem with recordnow software on my new laptop Tecra A7. It does not close after that I have to burn a CD/DVD (recordnow.exe still appears in the Task Manager). It closes correctly when I open only and nothing is burned. The main problem is that I can't access my DVD - RAM drive until the recordnow.exe is closed by the Manager tasks. I tried to reinstall the recordnow software but it does not solve the problem.

    I hope that someone will help.

  • Windows Vista starts - Windows error message does not close properly

    Whenever I turn on my computer, I get a message that Windows did not close properly, even though I know that I went through the correct procedure when stopping down.  It started only in the last days.  I did not change my machine or installed / uninstalled something.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
  • Main catalogue does not close properly.
    When I try to close PS Lightroom in my main catalog, the program does not close and watch the ball skippy. I have to force quit the program under Mac OS x to close.   • Widespread problem "Firefox is already running" suggests it does not close properly - is Mozilla solve this?
    Several people including me have reported a problem when closing Firefox and then try to re - open. The message "FF is already running and should be closed... ' appears, but the taskbar does not display an active FF. At this point, it is necessary to use the Task Manager to close the old term.
    1 this not always the case on my computer has started recently.
    2. most of the time that it is indeed possible to open multiple versions of FF without difficulty. This problem only seems to happen if I close the first session and then immediately try to open a new.
    So my question is what causes this, not what workaround to usable solution when it occurs.
    1 both of these problems (ending to Firefox and restart) are a response
    http://dmcritchie.MVPs.org/Firefox/Firefox-problems.htm#close_firefox
    2. multiple versions of Firefox you have to use -no-remote on your combination of browser/profile not by default. Which cannot be by chance, so either you messed up in start parameters, or you didn't never have multiple versions of firefox running at the same time.
    Please mark "resolved" a response that will better help others with a similar problem - hope it was her.
  • Firefox does not close when Windows stops
    When Windows (in my case: Win XP SP3) stops, it sends a message ("QUERY_UNLOAD" in many programming languages) that active programs can finish their job (e.g. lay on unsaved data), then exit. It seems you developers have reached Firefox v25 and not thought of programming this little piece-> Windows stop - a Firefox open don't give a fuck on the output, you must cancel it via Windows.
    It would be nice to have this little programming effort done - finally - thank you.
    Firefox may have need of more time to close properly that allows Windows and in the case where Windows is abandonment of Firefox closing process then you given are damaged, then always first close all programs in particular Firefox before close the computer or check if you can make Windows do wait at least 30 seconds or more (you can check in the Task Manager to see how much time Firefox takes to close).
  • TestStand Simple OI does not close properly
    Hello.
    We need to build a test system that runs TestStand 4.2 and code modules are created with LabVIEW 9.0. The SW is running on a PC with Windows XP.
    We currently use TestStand Simple (LabVIEW version) User Interface to run the tests, and with the Interface of the operator we have a problem.
    If we use the file TestExec.exe provided with the installation of TestStand, everything works fine. But we need to make some modifications to OI and if we open the project file, and then recompile the IO, then the IO does not properly close. It seems the execution testengine stop and stop the VI, but the window doesn't go away until move us the mouse.
    When I open the LabVIEW project file informs me that the project was saved last version 7.1.1 and we now run 9.0.
    Can someone tell me what is now the window on the screen until there is activity on the mouse?
    I found a solution.
    But I'm still a little bit frustrated because I have no idea why it works...
    Anyway, if I open the vi for the OI Simple properties, go to execution and change the enforcement system preferred UI Standard, then the problem goes away.
    Bypass the annoying screen by creating shortcuts to office for the organizer and editor.
    Editor executable file is:
    "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Photoshop elements 10\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe.
    Executable file of the Organizer is:
    "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Elements 10 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe.
    The unwelcome screen leaves a zombie running process that prevents the actual program launch again.
  • Satellite L300D-13s - CD/DVD drive does not close properly
    Hello
    I have the L300D-13s, about a week.
    Today and for a short time last Sunday the DVD drawer is not closed.
    I rebooted several times and tried to put the disc in but again, she is ejected and does not read disks.
    I installed Norton 360 Version 2.0 the day I got it, I really don't know much about computers and I hope that it's fairly simple.
    I checked the control panel and checked all the settings and they all seem fine.
    I'd appreciate any help.
    Thank you.
    Hello
    I think it s a mechanical problem of CD/DVD disc and you should contact the ASP in your country for a control.
    I mean that the guarantee must be valid because this laptop does not seem to be old.
    Therefore ask the ASP, and maybe the CD/DVD drive must be replaced.
    Good bye
    You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.
    You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.
  • APEX 5.0EA2 - Modal form does not close properly
    I have a master/detail form (detail lines are in a table). The part of the details pane, in turn, calls a modal form that allows you to edit the detail data. The modal form launches correctly and I can see the information it contains, with the right number of areas. The problem is when I use the buttons on the modal form to cancel or apply changes. It is supposed to go back to my original master/detail page. The weird part is that when I press one of the buttons in the modal window... all content in the window disappears... but the modal window itself remains visible on the screen. I have to press 'X' to close the modal window to return to my master-detail form. If this is supposed to be how it works, I find the very strange feature. You would think that if I am applying changes and/or cancellations out of the window that should clearly not only the content in this form, but it should also get rid of the window entirely. I don't think you should have to use the button cancel then turn around and press the "X" to close the modal window.
    I realize that some people would want to perform different functions within these modal windows, but it seems to me that when you perform an action such as the application of the amendments or by using the Cancel button, that you would like to close the window completely and take you from you. There may be a way to physically close the window (IE via javascript) so if anyone has any good ideas on how to do this, please let me know.
