Firefox fails to unload after closing
I am a seasoned Firefox user (user since 1990) and have updated to 29.0 FF but since the upgrade the problem is pending almost everytime I load a browser session. Once I finished and close the browser. It seems that FF does actually unload FF of the memory, so that the next time I try to open FF, it does not load and pointed out at the previous session remains open. i.e., always use the memory and has a free service/process. It seems so that FF does not actually close a session and offload the memory, so that a new session cannot be hired. I have to cancel FF with the windows Task Manager, until I can re - login again. Please can you suggest a solution for this problem. PS: Firefox works perfectly on my machine apart from this problem.
DELL Vostro 22os computer, OS is windows 7 pro 32-bit with SP1, 4 GB memory, AMD 4300/4500 graphics card. Ethernet connection on the web serving the ADSL2.
Hello Cyteck, a wild guess: could you try to enter "subject: config" in the address bar, looking for the preference "network.seer.enabled" and set it to "false" for test purposes? Thank you...

I get the message "firefox has stopped working" after closing browser
Hello.
My problem is that when I close the FireFox browser, I get the message "FireFox has stopped working". It's pretty boring. I have read some other posts here that describes a similar problem and we tried some of the suggestions in them including:
A clean install, a reset of the browser, running in safe mode, uncheck hardware acceleration, disabling Extensions and plugins one at a time, uninstall my antivirus (avast), backward to 23.01 and audit version run in compatibility mode that someone claims to be helped. None of this has been effective.
It seems that after a reboot of the computer, the browser will be ok for 2-4 closures and then it will start by the message at each end. In addition, after uninstalling avast was good for 6 closures. Roll back also gave me approximately 6 free message closures. But then, the messages and does not stop.
Is there anything else I can try? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Loading the Google's HTTPS version causes Firefox to do 3 background request every 45 seconds even after closing the page.
With any other HTTPS sites that support HTTP Strict Transport Security (HST), I noticed connection only 1 history.
How can I disable these background connections?Hello, I'm no expert on the matter, but it is quite possible that the spdy Protocol, which is used by google on its secure sites (twitter atm) and is causing the behavior that you have seen.
"SPDY connections are persistent connections. For optimal performance, it is expected that clients will not close the open connections until the user navigates away from all web pages referring to a connection, or until the server closes the connection. Servers are encouraged from the connections open as long as possible, but can stop idle connections if necessary. »
http://mbelshe.github.com/SPDY-specification/draft-mbelshe-SPDY-00.XML#RFC.section.2.1You can try to disable support for the spdy Protocol in firefox (in all: config) and see if that changes the number and length of connections to the server.

Error after closing Firefox window!
Hello
After closing Firefox, an error window appears. And after closing this window appears a smaller.
Please help me.
Best wishes
NickWhat are the mistakes you are seen to appear?
Try to start Firefox in safe mode. This mode disables all extensions, customizations, hardware acceleration, etc., temporarily for the diagnosis and troubleshooting. If Firefox works fine in Safe Mode, then it is probably a problem with the add-on. Restart Firefox in normal mode, and then type "subject: addons" (without the quotes) in the address bar. Disable your extensions, restart Firefox between each one, until you find the troublemaker. Once you do, you can turn off this add-on and report the problem to the developer of this - on Add.
A few other basic problems you can try things is the following:
Run all Windows updates, install all required service packs, etc.Updating your graphics driver (Firefox uses the graphics card for rendering and an outdated graphics card driver can cause problems. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers.
Update all of your plugins (Flash, Java, etc.): http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/.
Download and install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full scan. http://www.malwarebytes.org/. This check allows that there is no virus on your computer, causing problems. You can uninstall this program after having cleaned the infections.

Firefox claims she is already underway and will let me start a new session after closing of
I had this problem intermittently on my Dell XPS 8000 and my laptop HP nx7400. Dell runs the latest version of Windows 7 Pro and HP running XP Pro (fully updated). After closing a session of Firefox and other applications running, Firefox won't let me open another session, saying that "Firefox is already running... Please close the session... "This is not an exact quote, but you get the idea. CTRL-ALT-DEL and all other conventional means do not work and I have to reboot the system. It is a royal pain... and I need a pain relief! Any suggestions? I can go back to an earlier version of Firefox until I see a solution... is not bad, but I really like 4.0, and I do not look back in the 'progress '.
Thank you.
Tom
Looks like it is suspended when you quit, and then later try to restart Firefox.

Firefox only opens, even after re - download
I downloaded again. The suggestion given to repair the problem seems to be based on a Firefox window, and mine won't. I had a slow hourglass flashing but nothing open, now at all, nothing happens.
I clicked on the tool troubleshooting-1. 1A - fx.xpi file and nothing opens; window, said to search the web to find a way to open it. I have tried that in the past in other situations with no good result, so I don't bother.
For some mysterious reason, its opening after I entered in the above, but after closing, it will not re - open.Good evening
This supplement remove you? Is it possible that you did not remove the supplement. You have to be updated.
Thank you for understanding.Best regards

At the start of new computer, you can load Firefox OK. After closing repeatedly, the icon on the desktop won't open Firefox... or go to programs and click on Firefox. The only way you can get it working again is to restart the computer, but then you only bring up Firefox several times again without haviing to restart. I even tried to restore the computer to earlier dates without result. If I use Internet Explorer to open Firefox the same thing happens. I tried to remove Firefox and reinstall, but it tells me that Firefox must be closed to continue. I don't see where it is open. Advisor

while trying to reset to fix the slowness, firefox never finished, so I closed it, now it says my profile is not valid, and nothing will load. So I have no possibility to repair. I tried to anUpgrade, but which resulted in the same situation.
Sorry, when an update is interrupted, it can happen. Please start by creating a new profile. There is no data in it, but it will get us started.
You will start the Firefox profile manager using the Windows Run dialog box (hold down the Windows key and tap R) or the system Windows 10 search box. Paste the following and press ENTER:
firefox.exe -P
This should start a small window.
Click on the button to create a profile, assign a name like OldSettings and ignore the ability to move the profile folder. After you create the profile, select it and start Firefox in this profile.
I guess that Firefox works?

Windows XP
Install Firefox 41.0.1 own - same problem
Install Firefox 40.0.3 own - same problemIncident reports could help us by giving you an individual diagnosis, but if they are accidents of almost instantaneous startup, allow me to mention something that is 'flow' where you have this problem:
Firefox crashes a few seconds of starting if you have either the Applian Technologies Freecorder and Replay Media Catcher programs in combination with Norton Security software (and possibly other security software).
If you have either of these Applian programs and it is not essential, try to uninstall it then restart Windows to ensure that none of its components are running.
Firefox will start normally after that?
(If you do not uninstall the program, another user said he used msconfig to stop execution at startup and that fixed FlvSrvc.exe. See: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1086722#answer-789197)

I'm using Firefox on a Windows 7 computer. Firefox does not open after the last update. I read the help articles and it seems that I need to create a new profile because my settings were probably corrupted. I'm unable to open the profile technical, even when you use the directory in cmd line path. I tried the following commands in the command line:
Firefox Pei
"C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla" PEINothing happens with every order.
I am also running Norton Internet Security. I read a help of virtual navigation features Re article that can cause a problem. The article says to check the setting of virtualization in the internet security software and to clear the virtual cache. I went through all the menus of settings in Norton Internet Security version 21.6.0.32 and I don't see anything that looked like in "virtualization" settings, so I guess that does not apply to me. "
If you have any ideas, I had appreaciate that your expertise!
Hello arcandl, at the launch of the firefox is not after you double-click the shortcut, it is sometimes also a sign of active malware on a system.
you might want to try running a scan with some various other security like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner tools that are specialized to remove the adware and browser hijackers. -
You Tube is not playing video on Firefox with Adobe Flash after the last update
You Tube and other sites do not play video on Firefox with Adobe Flash after the last update for both. Adobe Flash works on other sites but not You tube and sites that can have embedded videos from You Tube, I'm not sure.
Adobe Flash not crushed and no error message is visible. All that shows is a black screen for Flash video. Make a right click of the screen shows only a non-interactive 'a film has not loaded' and the clickable link to the home page of Adobe.
I spent an hour trying things as suggested for past problems similar to this, but none helped.
I sent sad face, letting you know what I think of the last update for this reason which explains pretty much the same thing, as I have said here.
I have no other info but if I had a form any entry and queries you I might be able to provide more.
I think the Flash 12.xx is a phantom. I can't find it on my comp. Only 13.xx shows anywhere but on the Pugins page in Firefox.
Weird. I have no idea why it does that. Your list of details of the system shows that 13.0.r0 Flash.
