  • Google search results on Mac OSX - disappeared when returning to page

Yosemite running on a MacBook Air. When I search with Google (my default), the results appear normally. However, once I click on an ad, go ahead and then return the results of the search, the search results page is empty. Refreshing works OK, but why would this happen? It is these - last month - but also consistent and what happens with Firefox (vs Chrome or Safari).

Does anyone else have this problem?

Maybe you have increased your zoom level on the results page recently? I suspect that because there is an old problem with going back to the search results page and blank might as well have it, and it seems to occur only when you use a zoom level high on Google with 'instant prediction results' (the default setting). When to return to this page, Firefox glitches when you restore the cache in memory page, in fact, you can see the results for a fraction of a second before it empty out.

Assuming you like your zoom level and enjoy using the instant prediction results, then the solution is to disable the part of the Firefox cached in memory by changing a setting under the covers.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press return / enter. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste sess and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers and change the value from-1 to 0 (that's a zero).

(Please change not all other parameters similar to 0-sounding or you can disable the ability of Firefox to save/restore your tabs and windows open).

Then reload the page of Google results and the test. Who will fix this for you?

  • How can I disable touch sounds?

I've recently updated to Android 4.4.2 and now I touch ring ONLY when I type in Firefox version 31.0. Any other apps have touch sounds, and I have disabled system/touch sounds. How can I disable them for Firefox?

    Hi guigs2,

Thank you for your help. I tried to switch the keyboard preferences several times, including with reboots. No change. I should add that the Tablet is an Asus transformer TF701T so I also confirmed that I had Google touch keyboard as default and not the Asus touchpad.

Will [topic: support] took me in a "Troubleshooting" page, but saw no reset button. I decided to uninstall and reinstall.

A very interesting thing that happened at that time here. As soon as I uninstalled Firefox, I started to have touch sounds in ALL my apps. Before uninstalling, I only received them in Firefox. I checked again and the system settings Touch sounds Android has been still on off and Google keyboard was always set by default. So why am I touch sounds?

I went to re - install Firefox and got a prompt asking if I wanted to use the Asus keyboard or keyboard from Google. I chose Google keyboard (as I always have) and all THE sounds of touch stops immediately. For all applications.

Not sure if it's an Asus, Android or Firefox glitch. But there you go. Fixed a problem.

    Best,

  • The tabs and the appearance of the firefox browser glitch

  • Strange glitch Visual on the taskbar when using Firefox

    Hello

I feel a strange glitch Visual on the taskbar when using firefox.

Please take a look at this short video because it shows the problem, it's almost impossible to show in pictures.

    https://DL.dropboxusercontent.com/u/12595174/VIDEO0016.3gp

I use firefox on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit v36.0.1. Video card is an ASUS R9 280 X using the latest drivers from AMD 14.12 Catalyst Omega Software.

Motherboard is an ASUS M5A88 with 16 GB of ram and a processor of 6300 FX.

It is a new construction that I have implemented in the last 24 hours, and this behavior was not present on the system using the same version of windows, firefox and even map chart and drivers. But on another card mother and CPU. Previous Board of Directors has been
    M4A79XTD EVO with a Phenom II X 4 955BE.

The glitching does not occur when it is on the desktop and firefox is closed. It will not occur when you use IE - 64 nor does it when I am using the steam software or any Explorer windows/opening files.

All the motherboard drivers are installed correctly, the integrated graphics card is disabled in the BIOS. I disabled the settings of firefox for hardware acceleration, smooth scrolling and text... to see if it was the question. It wasn't.

I'd appreciate any help to solve this... Really, I don't want to use a different browser but it's bad enough and quite distracting to really annoy me, and I don't see any alternative.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi jscher2000

I was about to post a reply, because a friend suggested that maybe that's a rendering of issue rather than a firefox one video card even if it's strange how it affected firefox only. I didn't have a chance to test it on Chrome as it is a new construction and I don't want to install the software, I do not use.

I went to the Manager of catalyst and had a glance to the settings. I changed something, but no help... I then started to make a simple change and test until I found that the activation "gpu up-scaling" in the properties of digital flat screens has solved the problem.

    I am now free twinkle

Thanks for your quick response however.

  • Since Firefox v34, after Zoom text on a Google search page took me, the Google search page is empty after you click 'Back' to it. What is a v34 glitch?

Since Firefox v34, search results page is empty, 1) by clicking a link in a Google search results page and loading of the linked page, 2) Zoom on the text on the page that Google took me and then without resetting the zoom text, 3) by clicking on the arrow of Firefox 'Back' to return to Google search results. If at that time I reload the page of Google results, or click back one page and will transmit then again, the full search results will be displayed then again.

This happens on my Windows 7 PC as well as my Vista laptop. Is it a glitch with text zoom and Google in Firefox version 34?

Sorry, this seems to be a problem with the cache in memory of Firefox: when you use a high Google zoom level the (the default setting) with "instant prediction results" then Firefox pips showing again after going back page (you can see the results for a fraction of a second before they white).

Assuming you like your zoom level and enjoy using the instant prediction results, then the solution is to disable the part of the Firefox cached in memory by changing a setting under the covers.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

(Please change not all other parameters similar to 0-sounding or you can disable the ability of Firefox to save/restore your tabs and windows open).

Then reload the page of Google results and the test.

Fixed? (Or should I say, worked around?)

  • on some Web pages only you use firefox, the display text is sometimes glitched.

OK, sometimes the text is glitched on Web pages. and if you highlight the text messed up it will be instantly normal. also have the most updated drivers. and this only happens with firefox.

Hello trentenmarschel, try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    • Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
    • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
    • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    • Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

This solve your problems? Please report to us!

    Thank you.

  • Firefox has a screen of disheveled, glitch, jumble.

In the last week or more, Firefox has been very chaotic and unpredictable. It loads pages that resemble the first couple times you try to initialize it top a NES game. I would like to attach a screenshot, but I don't know how with this form of submission so I is that you know what I'm talking about here. This happens even to my toolbars. I have the mouse over an object to clear it up, but then it goes straight to hell once I load another page.

Sometimes I will load another page somehow, and that I was watching just doesn't go away. I have to scroll or something else to make them disappear.

I also have problems, even as I type this, where Firefox has to stop for a few seconds, the little wheel of color of death appears, THEN what I just typed will appear. He did this just as I typed those last two sentences. TWICE.

Hi PriestessMKFan, I don't know if it was mentioned in these articles, but you should exit Firefox and restart it after making this change.

  • Upgrade to the new version of firefox, v. 18 and had glitched menus since. Is there a way to fix this?

I updated today to v. 18 and while my menus pull down (for both the firefox a bookmark on the right and left) and links work, the... the image file, I guess, is very glitchy. I don't know what I'm clicking on because I vaguely know where things are on the lists.

I updated to Java (which has now disappeared from my macros list sheet), put firefox in safe mode then enabled an extension both to archive them and restarted my laptop and firefox a few times. While in safe mode, this problem does not occur.

Is it possible to fix this? I have screencaps I provide showing exactly what happens:

Hello Krisley, try turning off hardware accelerationand check again (in safe mode hardware, acceleration is disable).

    Thank you

  • Highlight the glitch in Firefox or Sidebar Bookmark Selector 2.3

I have Firefox 12 with the app Sidebar Bookmark Selector 2.3. They ran together for at least a few years now. From last week when I opened my favorites I'll get points out, going through everything I ran over with the mouse in a way upward. If I get 10 Favorites, there will be ten points out. If I come back down through them, they are all clear. What the hell is happening? A search google with the words 'Firefox' and 'highlight' will bring you only answered to go to tools, options, colors and unchecking the underscore. This is not it. This is driving me crazy! Any suggestions? I don't even know at this point if she has nothing to do with either of them at this stage.

For the love of God f ' ing... I fixed it, lol! I don't even try to fix it, I just fixed my XP appearance settings, trying to make things a little bigger. And whaddya know, as soon as I changed the settings to make it a little more daring, he ceased from the stress. Ridiculous! Thanks for the help man!

  • Jump in the middle of an audio track streaming on various sites causes the stuttering and audio glitch

    Hello

Please refer to this thread for support on the technical support of SoundCloud forums. The thread contains all relevant information, including videos of the screenshots problem and console, made by myself and others. https://www.soundcloudcommunity.com/SoundCloud/topics/skipping-to-the-middle-of-a-track-causes-stuttering-and-glitchy-audio-chrome-Firefox

In short, when you try to move forward for streaming audio, there is a memory buffer/stuttering problem that prevents a correct reading of the track. This problem is confirmed on SoundCloud and Traxsource and other people in the support thread mentioned Mixcloud and other streaming sites. In other words, it is not the special streaming service fault or another.

The problem does not occur in Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer or Chrome. Well, to clarify, when the issue was published on SoundCloud support forums, Chrome was having the same problem. However, they made a version a few days ago thrust, that fixed it.

Here's my original on the SoundCloud support post (less), which has the relevant details. Note that we have updated both Flash and Firefox recently, so although I have mentioned earlier in my original post, everyone involved has since updated their browsers and Flash.

From now on, the only solution for the problem is to go back to Firefox 40.0.2. Thanks for any help =)

    Matt

    Original message =.

Jump in the middle of a track causes the stuttering and audio glitch (Firefox).

I am running Windows 10 Pro.

There seems to be a problem of caching that affect reading - I started noticing this problem three or four days ago. Previously, I could jump through my feeds at will, go straight until the middle of the tracks or mixes of listen seconds and determine if I liked the track. Now, I can't do it on Firefox 41.0.1. The problem is simply annoying on songs that are 3 or 4 minutes in length, as I must leave "cache" maybe ten seconds before jumping. Unfortunately, the problem is a game-breaker on mixtures which, for example, are 90 minutes long. If I jump to a point directly in the middle of the combination, nothing happens. The play button alternates between the 'Play' symbol and the symbol of 'Caching' ('... "), and so audio resumes, it is glitchy and consists of different parts of the track being played at the same time.

I've eliminated my internet connection as the source of the problem by loading on board. On the edge of 20.10240.16384, the problem does not exist. I can scroll down to any mix of 2 hours in my stream, click on the middle of it, and the audio starts right up. No caching, without stuttering or glitching.

I drove back Flash version 18 to see if it solved the problem in Firefox, but it did not. The problem persisted, so I re-updated to Flash 19.

Yes, I understand how all versions and updates to work. I meant it as a generation of powder magazine. My bad.

I consider this problem to be solved. Several different pre-release versions of Firefox have solved the problem; I have personally used both of them that work perfectly. A representative of Bugzilla stated that the patch will be integrated into Firefox 42, which will be released on 3 November.

I now consider this private matter. Thanks to all of you who have been here =)

  • Bar/toolbar to Firefox address UI is out of proportion and in all directions at random

As the title above, the address bar goes in all directions at random by reviewing every minute or so.

The question is not limited to a single site (i.e. not just Youtube), and it does not always occur on all pages on a site (i.e. a Youtube video may cause the graphical glitch in the user interface, but an another Youtube video only).

Refer to pictures for more precision.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

Try to remove the plist of Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).

Go to "~/Library/Preferences" and delete the plist for Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist)
