Firefox on my Mac is not to remember one of my three GMail passwords
I have Firefox v 14.0.1 running on my MacBook OSX 10.5.6 running. When I want to access my accounts Gmail, Firefox will remember two of my accounts, but not the third. I have not checked the private browsing, and I asked to remember passwords. How to remember the third account? He don't even ask me if I want to save this password for the account.
Ideato thanks for these suggestions. I have three different user names, so that's not all. I think I've solved my problem inadvertently. In Gmail, you can sign up an account and then you can add an account and log in to other accounts you have. This makes the tabs for each account that you connect to. Then you don't need to keep disconnection and signing in. So I tried signing on an account where the user name and password are highlighted by Firefox. I then added the problem account that Firefox was not remembering, and Firefox gave me the window to remember this account! YES I said REMEMBER THIS PASSWORD and it worked. I still don't know why it wouldn't work when I registered the account first and not as and add an account. But I'm just happy that it worked.

On several sites, as the site for Toyota Southeast and the Florida Department of Transportation SunPass, site systems will serve PDF files that simply are not displayed in FireFox and that not downloaded. Previous versions of FireFox had no problems with these sites; Make FireFox 4 and 5. Other browsers, including Safari, Opera, and web, on Windows, IE 8 and 9, have no problems. Is there a fix and when will it be available?

How can I make normal firefox once again without wiping my application data, passwords and settings and re - install the program? There must be a way.
You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the profile folder of Firefox that store session data.
Delete the sessionstore.js file possible sessionstore-# .js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: opens showing the file
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and tab groups and opened and closed the tabs (back) to get lost, so you will need to create them again (take note or bookmarks).

The incognito in 39 of Firefox for Mac does not work
When I connect to Gmail with Firefox for the Mac sha256 39 - 7da80d615390fc65f0f5540ac2fbaa6e5d8e8e0b and close the tab, then immediately open gmail again it automatically logs me on my same Gmail account if I use private browsing.
Private browsing is not suppose t maintain all information so how is able to access my Gmail account without my entered password?I don't know how the private browsing mode works on Mac because you can close all the tabs, but still operating application Firefox (the menu bar is here), so it is likely that you have not finished the session mode PB.
You will need to close and restart Firefox to get rid of cookies that make the site remember you.
Closing tabs does not seem to be enough. -
Firefox for Mac does not recognize a valid SSL certificate
Firefox for Mac does not recognize the SSL certificate that is valid for this site, I got: https://www.georgeglazer.com. It gives a warning "not reliable." However, the Firefox for Windows does not give a warning. This happens even if I clear the cache and it happens in the Mavericks and OS of Yosemite. The certificate is up-to-date and with Comodo. Firefox for Mac is now the only browser producing these errors (v. 39, put updated) - Internet Explorer, Safari and Chrome are not. Our hosting provider has said it's probably a browser issue, perhaps having to do with intermediate certificates in Firefox being obsolete. I really hope you'll solve the problem, as it's annoying for us when we're going to do right by our customers and pay for the SSL certificate. I have attached a picture of the warning and the other from what you see on a PC: a pop-up that says it is a verified SSL certificate and gives details about the issuer, the period of validity, etc.
COMODO should you sent a link to download the file 'bundle' containing the intermediate certificates. Who needs to go in the same directory as the certificate of your site. If you are using a control panel, your host can probably help with this process. And if you bought through them, shame on them for not taking care of this for you already!

I updated Firefox on my Mac (10.6.8), and now the story is not known (that option is checked) and the back button will not work. Help?
One possible cause is a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.

Loss of Firefox on my mac osx 10.5.8. do not download. Any ideas?
I'm trying to start up and get the message: cannot open the firefox application because it is not supported on this architecture. What should I do now?
New versions of Firefox do not support for transformers of power/PC (PPC). Firefox 3.6 supports the PPC and MacIntel. Firefox 4 and requires an Intel Mac and is designed for 32-bit and 64-bit processors.
http://www.Mozilla.org/Firefox/system-requirements.html
There is a separate project, called TenFourFox, which brings a version of Firefox unoffical 7 old Macs. I do not use it or a Mac myself, so I can't vouch for it, but you might want to give it a try.
-
I just wrote about firefox 3.6 with 5.0 for my mac OSX and discovered that my mac will not support it. Is there a way I can recover my lost files and recover the old version?
You can download and install Firefox 3.6 http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older.html

I'm having a problem where Firefox keeps asking for my password to Amazon, even if I tell Firefox NOT to remember this password. In Firefox options, Amazon is clearly recognized as a site for which does not save passwords.
Do not remove the navigation, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Site preferences".
Compensation of the "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.

Firefox 4 for MAC: How can I sort the bookmarks by name that are not in the files?
Solution in site and forum, Firefox does not work on Firefox 4 for Mac, i.e. Control View-Sidebar-bookmarks, etc.
All the Favorites are in folders.
- The Bookmarks Toolbar folder stores the bookmarks that you see on the (view > toolbars >) Bookmarks Toolbar.
- The bookmarks Menu folder stores the bookmarks that you see in the menu bookmarks and create via ' bookmarks > bookmark this Page "or" bookmark this link "in the context menu.
- The Unsorted Bookmarks folder stores which inserts created bookmarks by clicking on the star on the right end of the address bar.
You can right click on a such main folder (root) to sort the bookmarks in that folder.

Firefox 33 HTML elements do not display correctly
< Select > form HTML elements do not display the options correctly in Firefox 33.
For example:
< select id = "field_4" class = "mainForm" name = "field_4" ><option value=""></option> <option value="submitted"></option> <option value="pending"></option> <option value="discarded"></option> <option value="all"></option>
< / select >
expected to show a drop down with the 5 elements (first one empty) but no items are displayed at all.
The framework encompassing does not seem to be calculated correctly so no display options.I have observed this problem on several pages. These pages display properly in an earlier version of Firefox and they display properly in IE. The problem occurs without addons or additional themes installed. The problem does not occur in safe mode then I suspect it is theme related 33.0 default theme is the only installed theme, but it can not be disabled out of safe mode. I tried to install and modify multiple themes without success. The problem persists after restarting Firefox and after restarting the computer and even after uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox.
I can provide a screen if necessary.
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.
You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.
If it works in Mode safe mode and normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) off and then try to find which extension is the cause by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit ' (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit)
