Firefox redirects pages

I had this problem for a few months and thought I had found a solution when I looked in the forum and the proposed solution was to go to 'options', 'general' and 'Advanced' and uncheck the option "warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page. I did, but it does not work as the tick continues to go back (although I never did!) It is not even need to be a different browser session or a reboot. I can uncheck the option but I when I try another Web site to the next minute, he refuses to redirect them. and I can see that the tick is out there!

There is a setting for this:

Under the mini general tab, uncheck the "warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page.

  • Why no refresh/redirect page?

Firefox keeps displaying a grey bar at the top of the page saying that he won't let the redirect page or refresh. I have to click on allow to continue. It started recently and it's embarrassing. How can I solve this problem? These pages are those I go all the time and are not weird or unusual.

Many users seems to be turned on an accessibility function accidentally. To disable the block of redirection, you can use the Panel Advanced preferences page:

"3-bar" menu button (or Firefox) > Preferences > advanced

Under the mini general tab in the accessibility section, uncheck the box "warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page.

  • Firefox redirects to google when server not found

If I do a typing error in the address bar (for example, instead of www ww), instead of getting a message saying that the site is not found, Firefox started to take me to a page of Google search for the URL I typed in.

Also, if I click on a link in a web page and the server in the connection no longer exists, I should get a message saying that the server is not found, but I'm redirected to a google search for the domain name in the link. It's confusing.

SOLUTION: This was caused by the http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk EasyFundRaising toolbar (which I think could rest on the Google toolbar?)

After disabling this plugin, the problem disappeared. I have notified the EasyFundRaising to this issue.

  • Problems with redirection page badly giving-OK in IE8

I have 2 files to redirect visitors to a monthly photo page. http://ILS.org.au/PRD.htm and
    http://ils.org.au/prd.html.
The two files are identical, but the htm file redirects to the photo page last month instead of the month page.
He has worked for months and works fine on another computer with IE8. He also works on this computer with IE8.
It seems that the htm file is stuck in the cache and is not charging.
I use Firefox 6 with Windows XP

Visitors will probably mostly be visitors first and notice not or be affected. But I think it's likely that you have changed this redirect page later and you are using the cached version before you can specify non-cache. To avoid these problems on your machine, I would like to clear the cache at the end of a session, and it's the only thing that I want to erase.

    Tools > Options > privacy

You can clear your cache immediately (now) with

    Tools > Options > advanced > 'clear now '.

Two source pages look the same as you have indicated, copy and paste the following text in the address bar. Maybe that is not updated was different there is little time.

Please mark "resolved" a response that will better help others with a similar problem - hope it was her.

Displaying links watch that you do not include an end of sentence at the end. If a period is to confuse a link, I leave out the period or use a dash then to incorporate the following sentence or add more words in the sentence.

  • How to add a link to a Web page directly on my firefox home page

Safari has a function which, on their homepage, are small boxes that are links to Web sites, you go often to which is so useful. Can I do this with Firefox? I don't want to type in my goto sites every time, especially if I go to them every day.
    Thank you!!

Fred mentioned using the bookmarks toolbar. See this article on this subject.
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/bookmarks-toolbar-display-favorite-websites

I don't use Safari in a good number of years, so I don't know what functions it has. The default Firefox Start Page / Home Page is incorporated into the code of Firefox and has no configurable element of the user where the user can add anything; However, it loads information from a secure server of Mozilla that changes from time to time.

But you can define what you want to be "your" home page that appears whenever you open Firefox relatively easily.

  • Firefox home page search and click right options does not.

After updating Firefox hoping to increase the speed of response, I have found that a right click on a web page address does a menu appear much longer than before, which is correct, but now none of these options seem to work. 'Open the link in a new tab' does not work, nothing happens. Similarly, 'Copy link location' does not work, or 'copy image' for the photos. Also my Firefox home page, which is a search for Firefox, not working, when a search item is entered and 'Search' clicked, the entry disappears and nothing else happens. To get here to ask for help, I had to enter www.google.com on the FF browser address line and then use Google search to access these pages in support of Mozilla. I since started Firefox in safe mode without success by allowing these features disabled. I've also updated Firefox once more without success, no change except my Menu bar disappeared. What can I do to revive these features disabled? I don't want to not risk losing my bookmarks.

    Thank you!

Uninstall it and reinstall brought the right click functions with the original, much smaller and fortunately preserved inscription my favorites.

  • Whenever I click on the "home" button, my home page is displayed but a Firefox start page opens in a new tab. How can I stop this?

This problem began only after I've upgraded to the latest version of Firefox.

    Hi Doug,.

Sorry about that. It might be this time your home page and the Firefox start page are defined as your home page.

Here's how to reset your home page:

    1. Open your home page and close other tabs
    2. Click on the

menu button and click on Preferences

    3. In the Preferences window, click on general
    4. Click the use current Pages button

I hope this will fix things. Let us know if it works!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance

  • Automatic update does not. I have to manually go to the Firefox Web page every time.

Whenever I go to Firefox/subject to check the version, I will be shown what is apparently the latest version and the computer will check for updates, then tell me that Firefox is updated. However, it is never. I still have to go to the Firefox Web page and download the new version of myself. I find this very frustrating, and it happened through a couple of updates to Mac OS x. I'm running Mavericks and just download Firefox 31.

We see this often reported as past on Mac that update does not work properly, and it maintains the skirmish with the connection or otherwise is not updated.
We advice you to download and install the full version in this case.

You can find the full version of the current version of Firefox (31.0) in all languages and for all systems operating here:

  • How can I stop the default "Moxilla Firefox Start Page" video display?

By default 'Moxilla Firefox Start Page' has recently begun to show a video simulating an old arcade game.
I want a Spartan static default start page with simple search functions.
In part because the video is blocking the remote office. But also because even if the video is slightly amusing for the first 10 seconds, after that it's just an annoying distraction.

A solution that turns off all the video up to active manually would be good.
Otherwise, I could give up on the thread of Mozilla. The old static start page is available in the form of file static I could download and then set as the start page? Average I would go next to the dissemination of messages Moxilla would send more than page, but that would be better than putting in place with the current page.

    1. Type of topic: config in the address bar and press ENTER.
    2. Accept the warning, press the big button labeled "" I'll be careful, I promise! ».
    3. In the search box, paste browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl
    4. In the search results, double-click browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl to open the dialog box enter the string value.
    5. In the dialog box enter the string value , press the delete key so that there is no remaining text, and then press enter or the OK button. As a side effect, only the default endpoints will appear under the search box, because the new will not be retrieved from the web more.
    6. Then type Subject: support in the address bar and press ENTER.
    7. Click the view file button. Opens in a window of Windows Explorer with your profile folder. In this window, open the storage folder, then the persistent subfolder.
    8. Then open Firefox to output with the profile folder.
    9. Remove the moz-trunk-fort-about + House folder.
    10. All fixed, you can open Firefox.
