Firefox Theme is stuck in case of default

My firefox got accidentally covered in Yahoo toolbars and others from accidental installation of software. After I turn off and removed everything, Firefox has stopped showing my themes and did not show any theme and more by default. I have reset to factory settings, restarted my computer and even removed and re-downloaded Firefox, and yet the theme always will not appear, it lights up on the page Add on and said it is enabled, but it's not here, any suggestions?

It's just a hunch and it's a little experimental, so if it's completely off base, let me know.

As you probably noticed, Firefox 20 changed how private works of navigation. If you have your privacy setting "Never remember history" then you automatically start in private mode. There is a bug in Firefox 20.0 automatic private mode that you can not change your theme.

If you want to be private browsing automatically, so as far as I know, it's no solution at the moment. It should be fixed in a future release.

If you do not want to start private browsing, automatic, then proceed as follows: open this tab and try to change your settings a little.

the button Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) > Options > privacy

Change the 'Firefox will' drop-down menu to never remember history to use the custom settings for history.

Uncheck "always use the private browsing mode.

In order to get the change to stick and not go back to "never remember history", you will also change the other settings. For example, to accept cookies and keep until the "closing of Firefox".

Once you get privacy modified parameter and it stick between the views of the dialog box, with the release of Firefox and start it again.

Is it that help at all?

    Hello

Hmm, this sounds like Firefox has made a mess, sorry about your problems! I wonder if it would be the simplest solution to reset all Firefox here. That would restore most of the default settings, but you keep all your settings and bookmarks, passwords, etc. You would lose your themes and extensions you installed well. What do you think? If you want to give it a try, follow these instructions: Refresh Firefox – reset the parameters and modules

Let me know if it works or if you prefer a more detailed troubleshooting process.

  • I can't change my firefox theme

I seem to be stuck on a certain substantive theme/persona. Whenever I go to change the themes, nothing changes. I can go to the original theme of default but other than that, I'm stuck with a snowflake theme, that I used during the winter. I have disabled all my extensions through safe mode, nothing works. I have cleared the cache and cookies, plugins updated, searched the theme stuck to the topic: config and in my firefox folders, etc. So far, nothing has worked...
    Any ideas?

Well, that's that! I had a lwtheme folder where theme-head and feet were kept, but for some reason, I needed to have files of theme-head- and - foot outside of the folder too. I didn't have them! So I transferred their new profile, I created my old profile and presto! Then the preview did not work, but I found this and solved this problem too - http://www.hazelstutorials.com/firefox-personas-mouseoverhover-not-working/#comment-8779

  • Why Firefox change of a search engine by default when I got small previews before where I just click on, now I have a here serach engine I want

When I click on a new tab, I had small screenshots of my last visits. now, I have a power of search engine Bing, which I don't want. Why FIREFOX change that and force the shit out of me that I don't like or want.

Here is the link that is display:
    http://search.conduit.com/?q= & ctid = CT3324775 & gd = & SearchSource = 69 & Searchtypes = SearchWeb & UP = SP6D16A319 - 2A 35 - 4B7D - 92D0 - CE51D47CADB4 & isid = ME0675196-326 - 40 1-9EE1-540D6679382F & UM = 5

Now I would like to be the one to choice what I want and how to configure it, I don't need a browser to make that choice for me, if it continues I'll go to safari or opera. Thank you

Firefox didn't do. At some point, you may have added an add-on or installed
a program and the installer has changed things on you. Mouse in the search window.
On the left, click the icon. Look for and click on Manage search engines. Put everything
    upward as you wish.

    If something prevents you from working on it;
    Download the Mozilla search reset

This module is very simple: installation, it backs up and then resets
your search and homepage to their default values, preferences
and then to uninstall. This affects the search bar, the URL bar
    research and the homepage.

Look through your list of modules and make sure you know what each of them is
    and so. In addition,
Windows > start > Control Panel > uninstall programs.
Go through the list and a web search to check that you have not
    know what they are.

  • How can I put Firefox 10.0.2 to be the default browser in Windows 7, using a script or program Setup. "Firefox.exe - setDefaultBrowser" does NOT work.

I want to set Firefox as the default browser for all my users.

I can do this by opening Firefox and go to tools-> Options-> advanced and click on the "Check now" button That works fine, but I need to do this automatically.

Installation running with the switch - setDefaultBrowser does NOT work. Running "firefox.exe - silent - SetDefaultBrowser" after installation does NOT work.
Is it still possible? Or are we stuck with IE?

  • I read the advice about the links of email that does not open in Firefox and I reset the value by default as suggested. I seem to have "lost" all of my downloads?

    Hello
I had problems with links in emails not open their web pages when I clicked on them. I've read some of the info on the help and decided to reset default Firefox. Later, I realized that my "downloads" had been removed. Is it possible to restore these because they are all related to Internet Marketing elements such as plugins, I downloaded ebooks, scripts etc etc?
    I work on Windows XP
I looked in the folder that was created automatically by Firefox on reset but I can not find them in there!
    Any suggestions please?
    Trevor cordially

You are the very welcome, Trevor. I'm glad everything worked out for you.

  • Check Mozilla Firefox themes for malicious before their publication code as it does with other modules?

I understand that Mozilla checks Firefox Add - ons for malicious code and accept only and signs if they are clean and safe, however, there is no mention anywhere if they do the same thing with the topics even if they are considered a type of Add on. So Mozilla checks themes of malware before they are downloaded, because even though they are just images they may still contain malicious code?

If Mozilla does it would be nice if it could indicate somewhere on his website and I also sign themes. If Mozilla doesn't, it would be advisable that it should.

I don't know if there is a process of review of the 'light themes"like there is complete themes and extensions. If you can't find a clear answer to that, you could follow with the team of modules on their forum here: https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/c/add-ons

A light theme composed of two images (usually PNG or JPEG), one for the upper part of the browser and one for the bottom. More information: https://developer.mozilla.org/Add-ons/Themes/Lightweight_themes

The types of images that pose a risk of security generally exploit a flaw in the management of a program of the image file. This kind of loophole must usually be fixed with a patch for Firefox (or another program), and I would be surprised if the first is light in a theme rather than, say, an image shared on social media or a targeted attack. But it could happen.

It can be difficult to determine if an image uses an image analysis to be without a specialized malware research environment because the effects is perhaps not obvious to an overworked code auditor. Do you have any ideas/suggestions on how it should be?

  • I found anti-phishing on our two PC with Firefox (now 31) was NOT enabled by default, (I do not disable). Discovered this bug after a phishing attack.

    Hello

I posted this more as an info. I use Firefox 31 on two PCs. and had a phishing incident today. I read your article on Firefox from Ant-phishing / anti-malware protection and using the two test pages you provided, I found the phishing test page has not been blocked. I followed your instructions and successfully activated. For some reason any on my two PCs (one is Windows Update 1 8.1 and the other an old XP machine) only anti-malware was running. Both computers have been updated to version 31 in the last days. I don't know if the lack of anti-phishing enabled by default is a bug in this version, or has been copied to a framework of an earlier version of Firefox. I had never changed the security settings myself on any version of Firefox.

This isn't really phishing, which sounds rather like malware. Try to run some scans. Troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malicious software

There is an add-on called FEBE, and it allows you to export virtually everything that Firefox offers (including modules) as installable files.

So basically, you can take the range of extensions and export them in another Firefox profile.

  • Is there a way to have Firefox respects the audio output device by default when it has been modified while Firefox is open?

I've been a Firefox user for many years and I still use it as my main browser. A problem that has bothered me for years lies in the fact that when Firefox is open and I change my audio output device by default, Firefox does not respect this change and continues to play audio through the device that was used to originally. Even if you stop the audio and keep playing, does not change the output device.

Is there a way that this can be configured in Firefox? Now, if I listen to music online (e.g. Soundcloud) I always use Chrome because it is respect changing the default audio output even in the middle of audio playback device.

    Reproduce:

    1. start audio playback (for example a YouTube video; HTML5 and Flash are affected)
    2. change your audio output device by default
    3. audio will continue to play the original output device
