Discover a rio - c max

I have a c being performance-Rio 9014 (running the code downloaded by a value OR added reseller), however my version of MAX is unable to discover the Rio - c on the local network.  Even when I try to add the address of C - rio and C - rio is connected directly to my divelopment system.

Are there drivers of rio that I add to MAX or my basic development system (8,6)?

I don't need to compile / deploy only to connect to the c - Rio to watch the connected nodes.

Do not the driver OR RIO to be able to see your target in MAX or LabVIEW. The first version that supports LabVIEW 8.6 is NOR-RIO 3.0.1 you can find at http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1162/lang/en.

The error you get generally occurs only if you have something installed on your target that is not available from your host.  If you feel that you have everything you need already on your host the safest to do thing is probably to format the target of MAX and then proceed to install what you need.

  • NOR-RIO Patch Nov 2013 on the PXI controller

    Hello

We use SMU controllers like the LV RT 2012 SP1 8115. We have also a card FlexRIO in the chassis, and we use FIFO write often.

From what I've read on the November 2013 Patch NOR-RIO (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/95CF25A09DB91FEE86257BE8006193B7?OpenDocument), we should update the systems of RT, but I do not see this option in MAX.

After you have installed the patch, I have the documents mentioned 12.1.1 with a file mite.cdf inside. But Max, I don't see any updates to the target. I still have a single NOR-RIO mentioned 12.1 which is already installed on the RT system.

So, how to install this hotfix on the SMU-8115 OR with LV RT 2012 SP1 and 12.1 OR RIO?

Also strange: when using the OR update service again and expand the updates and Service Packs the Patch OR-RIO reappears in the list of critical updates.

    Thank you

    Daniel

The component listed in the patch updated is unfortunately a component hidden which is automatically installed when you install your system remotely RIO.  Relocation of the NOR-RIO of MAX component to your remote system should be sufficient to force the patch to apply.

Note recommended sets of software are not supported under PXI, where is expected.

  • Free additional memory on device RIO

    Hello NO,.

First of all, thank you for the great products hardware and software as you continue to develop and support!  I worked on an application for a sbRIO using LabVIEW and LabVIEW FPGA.  My sbRIO-9601 has 64 MB memory volatile.  My problem is that only 21 ~ MB this is available for my program.  I guess the other 43 MB is used in the operating system for the sbRIO allowing communication TCP/IP, the LabVIEW run-time environment, etc.

My application makes use of the TCP/IP communication to control / monitor the sbRIO on ethernet.  Is there a way that I could disable several other treatments that I do not use, and seem to use volatile memory in the background?

To describe my symptoms of problem more clearly:

I wrote a piece of software that uses a fairly large amount of memory

I followed the memory usage of the sbRIO using Distributed System Manager 8.6

Before you deploy the sbRIO-my code, there are only 21 MB of available memory

Code deploys successfully, with most of the 21MB available to load large enough data structures

When I start to manipulate the data, need more memory

Use memory Distributed System Manager 8.6 on the sbRIO climbs as the program works to achieve 100% memory usage

The VI is abandoned without error; simply, the program stops and waiting to be executed.

    Thank you!

What version of NI RIO you have installed on the sbRIO? You can go and install the minimal installation of RIO in MAX, go into your device sbRIO then software right click and go to add/remove software. This wizard, you can customize all the installed components. I formatted my sbRIO and installed NI RIO 3.1minimal and it takes only 15 MB. Try reformat and reinstall your driver for a minimum version. Let me know if you have any other questions.

  • How to reset a password of RIO to the default value is empty?

How can I reset a cRIO 9014 OR the password (empty) by default the unit comes with?  I tried to the MAX and after setting a PW, is does not define an empty PW, you must use text.  This goes hand in hand with another recent post of mine where I need to be able to prove my alleged origin (see here).  To do this, I have to be able to return to a blank PW.

Most importantly, I should state it like this: I need to be able to put the RIO in its original state, where the password is not configured (if it's white or something else).  Is it possible to do?

You can reformat the RIO, which will erase everything and restore it on an empty state. In the measurement and Automation Explorer, right click on the device and choose format the drive. You then need to reinstall LabVIEW on RIO, using MAX.

  • error item not taken in charge on the RIO

We have a project involving a RIO and a WSN, that has been put together for my by a value OR added reseller.  I can see the RIO and MAX WSN nodes and can connect to everything.

When I look at the view of the project, I get a warning on the RIO (yellow triangle)

By clicking on this I get "the plug in for the selected item is not installed on your system or the plug-in has an expired license, contact OR.

Under MAX, tab software, we use LabVIEW 2011, with installed real time.

I was told by the developer, I may have need ' Labview for wireless sensors networks OR ".

    I have installed ni_wns_130.

What other driver should I. "

    Yes!

That fixed it, that it was the missing file.  I had the RIO version 3, then to 4 upgrade fixed it.

  • LabVIEW 2014 SP1, hardware and real-time PXI

I'm doing my third LabVIEW Wipe/reinstall in as many days, completely frustrated (and after several calls an hour with the support of NEITHER).  Here's the situation:

I wrote a fairly large (1000 VI) project of Acquisition/control of our graduate students data used for behavioral experiment on sound localization.  It was developed in 2012 LabVIEW with the module running on a PC/PXI system real time.  It worked very well and was brought successfully under LabVIEW 2014 (with upgrades comparable to the software of the PXI.

About 18 months ago the students began to write their theses, and at one point stopped gathering data.  Also, at some point, I upgraded the software on this system to LabVIEW 2014 SP1, but I am not sure that I never tested my software with this new system.

This week, I pulled up the system to use MAX to open some test on the PXI multifunction and DIO card panels to control manually one of the stimuli.  I discovered that MAX could not communicate with the advice on the PXI system - he attributes them as devices VISA, indicating each Board with an icon with a red X means that he could not communicate with the IP that I had assigned to PXI.  Yet, MAX (a) could "discover" this PXI, (b) MAX can 'see' its IP address, and (c) Windows could not only Ping the IP, but could FTP on the drive of the PXI and I could move files back and forth.

I did two sequences complete "Wipe/reinstall" using LabVIEW 2014 SP1, all giving the same result.  I know it has worked in the past, including when I installed LabVIEW 2014 (without SP1), something I repeat myself now with my third installation.  I discussed with OR (thin?) possibility that there is a "hidden defect" in the Distribution of the SP1, one that is visible to LabVIEW RT users using PXI hardware and go unnoticed because (a) install a few sites of LabVIEW versions SP1, (b) a minority use the RT Modules and (c) PXI is "old material".

If anyone has such a system or saw a similar problem, please answer.  I'll do a follow-up post if I managed to 'fix' my system by this last reinstallation "a solution of worked before."

    Bob Schor

Well, the answer is that, in my system, LabVIEW 2014 SP1 with LabVIEW Real-time connected to a PXI system does not appear to connect to boards plugged into the chassis.  Returning to LabVIEW 2014 (fall release), installed in exactly in the same way that the three failed attempts of LabVIEW 2014 SP1, works immediately.  Engineers OR will try to duplicate/verify/possibly patch? in this issue.

  • CRIO of deployment plug-in missing 9082 and NI 9514

    Hi all

I am trying to use deploy a 9514 C module that is installed in a cRIO 9082.

I would like to get access to the interactive test Panel, but every time I try to do it won't let me not deploy the unit.

I get an error as follows: "LabVIEW: (Hex 0x80DF001E) could not find the plug-in for this deployment item.» Make sure that the appropriate software is installed. Deployment is completed with errors", that leaves me unable to access the test Panel.

I have 2012 LabView and NI RIO 3.3.0 installed. Also, I tried to update the firmware on the 9514 itself using LV without modification.

To see the software installed on the cRIO, see the image as an attachment.

No idea what I'm doing wrong?

    Best regards

    Hi Jakob.

Thank you for this test. Versions of the software now matches our documentation. I looked in the documentation, and that should be all you need. Unfortunately, that didn't solve the problem.

However, I found an old service request about a similar problem, where the solution was to install the driver OR Motion. According to all the literature I found, it shouldn't be necessary, but I can try you?

    http://www.NI.com/download/NI-motion-8.5.1/4355/en/

After installation, you must also install the driver on the RIO using MAX.

  • Archive database will not be properly recorded on a CD

This question concerns my other post regarding the transfer of data.

How to transfer my old database to my new computer?

I managed to get my old database with all the data on the new computer to detach the database by default (using Max) and moved to a temporary folder.  I then copied the database recovered in the old location. I did the same thing for my new database_backup. Then I checked the default database in the database recovered (he is two weeks of data that I needed).  I then used Citadale to archive the database in the backup file.  Everything works, when I discover the traces using Max I see all my data back over the years, in both files.

Now my problem is I'm trying to copy the database_backup to a CD and have a paper copy.

However, whenever I have to copy this file in the database I only get two weeks of stored data and any new data stored not the old data.

I tried to untie the database_backup by copying. But still does not work.

    All thoughts.

With the help of Lookout 6.02

    Waterworks

I have not copied the backup file to an empty folder. I put the database_backup file and copy that into the whole.

It seems that only half of the files are transferred.

I used DVD - RW discs and found that all the files were not transferred.

On a whim, I bought another brand of DVD and all the data transferred.

If I have problems in the future I'll try to copy the database_backup file into an empty folder, and then try to copy.

I also recommend to try different brands of DVD.

  • Know if the database was activated by tilting or passage to the

    Hello

I would like to know if the backup database has been activated by a failover or a failover

I would test triggering one after startup, so access to the database views available in Mount only.

    If you have an idea...

Reason: a configuration of Golden on both and the resynchonization process gate is different after failover or passing.

    Kind regards

    Franck.

Just a quick note, you have probably already discovered, you are looking max on channel...

You probably mean something like this:

    Select end_of_redo_type from

    (

Select row_number() over (order by stamp desc) rnum,

    end_of_redo_type

    v $ archived_log

    where end_of_redo = 'YES '.

    ) where rnum = 1;

Also V$ DATAGUARD_STATUS should contain messages (at the backup site) such as "Terminal recovery:...» "during the FAILOVER. But I don't know if this should be taken as reliable information, it "might" be changed in future releases.

Edited: * the related information to the "Terminal recovery:" is based on my own tests * "."

  • Compact RIO NOR-9082 Configuration in MAX, cannot save

    Hello world

I tried to implement a new cRIO the NOR-9082. Currently, I am able to see the cRIO under "Remote devices" in MAX configuration and view. However, the two errors that are produced:

    (1) when I try to change the setting as the host name and press 'save' a warning appears saying: "there was a problem, save the settings of the target. Make sure that your material is under tension and hat it is connected to the network. I have attached a picture below.

    (2) at the same time, when I try to install the software on the cRIO by double-clicking on 'software' and selecting "Add/Remove software" and run the Wizard "LabVIEW Real - Time Software", another error is displayed: "error: the disk hard n the remote system is complete or encountered an i/o error." I've also attached a picture below.

The cRIO is lit with "DISABLE RT' toggled OFF. It is connected to the network via an Ethernet cable. This connection seems fine, however I look. (The connection of Ethernet port light flashes continuously activity indication etc..) It is the PC that is connected to the same network, I'm trying to interface with the cRIO. The cRIO displays the right IP address assigned through the network.

My apologies if I have not provided enough information to solve this problem, but if someone might be able to explain why I could meet these two problems in these circumstances, assistance would be much appreciated. Thank you!

It seems the main reason I got all these weird problems, it was because the compact RIO NI 9082 can come bundled with windows 7 and LabVIEW 2012 SP1 preinstalled and run as stand-alone computer so all I had to do was plug in a VGA to a screen and a mouse USB, keyboard and an eithernet for network connection cable and he started very well. Now, development and deployment happen locally on the cRIO. It was a little silly to me, so hope that helps someone!

    Kind regards

  • I can't install the driver OR RIO in my cRIO use MAX 5.5

I can connect it assign a static IP address. Whenever I try to install the software in the FPGA target, appears the following error message:

"Timed out while communicating with the remote server. Ensure that the system is online.

    What can I do?

I have LabVIEW 2013 installed in WINDOWS 8

    Hi Vitrion,

As seen in the Service request, this problem was resolved when you demoted to LabView 2012 and reinstalling Max5.5, so we can properly install the Driver NOR-Rio and sees the device to the Max apparently, it was a compatibility issue in versions...

Just a recommendation for a few cases like this. Please check the compatibility chart before installing an update of LabView in order to have the right version of Driver OR-Rio.

  • Pro-grammatically discover remote devices (cRIO or sbRIO) within the Local network

Hi I'm developing an application where I need to configure my cRIOs. So first of all, I need to find out all the RIO within the network and configure one by one by selecting their IP address in the list.

What someone has to know everything how to discover. I think there must be a solution that MAX discover any type of remote devices.

    Help, please.

You specify the version of LabVIEW you use. In LabVIEW 2009, you can use the RT to target information VI for a list of all targets of RT on your local subnet.

  • Compaq Presario C731TU: RAM and CPU max UPGRADE Presario C731tu chipset GLS960 cpusocket PPGA478 RAM and CPU max UPGRADE

    Hi all!

I have a Compaq Presario C731TU I absolutely need to upgrade its opportunities top of page. I discovered that he could run processor family Intel core 2 duo, and celeron family, that sounds really good!

Then consulted taken PPGA478 processors on the site of intel with their processor feature filter (http://ark.intel.com/search/advanced?s=t&FamilyText=Legacy%20Intel%C2%AE%20Core%E2%84%A22%20Processo...)   the best option seems to be Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T9500 (2.60 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 6 MB Cache).

    My question is:

Is there another cpu option better? Inside of a forum, I read that it can withstand up to Intel C2D T9xxx family but after T9500 (e.g. T9600 or T9900) taking turns into PGA478 and not PPGA478. What is the difference between PPGA478 and PGA478? are they the same or not?

Are there limits on the CPU with the BIOS upgrade? (mine is upgrated to F34 which should be the latest version)

About RAM: this laptop should work max 2 GB of ram but in fact I use it with 3 GB of ram (with these config.: 1 GB on the inner slot and 2 GB on the external, the inverse solution does not work, can not guess why), but someone "found a way" to use the 2 banks of 2 GB 4 GB total (and if according with this http://www.intel.com/Assets/PDF/specupdate/316274.pdf - pag. 19 - should be quite possible) , what ram 2x2gb modules can be accepted if? Help me = S

Thank you very much in advance!

I opened the laptop and the chipset inside the computer, wirtten there is an INTEL GL 960 who should manage only 553 mhz FSB... But... I installed inside, as the core 2 duo t9300, which has 800 Mhz FSB and it is fully functional in frequency from 800 Mhz to FSB. Really good news =)

AIDA 64 tool (former Everest) shows the FSB of GL960 chipset can run on 533, 667 and 800 Mhz frequency.

  • Publish a web or my-RIO service

Hello and good day to you all.

IAM trieng to publish a simple web service on the NOR my RIO which turns on and off one of the LED dashboard.

If I run the application normally it works, but if I try to post I get an error message that says: no web application service is enabled.

When I go into the properties of myrio in my LabVIEW project I find the option "configure web application server ' not selectable.

Can someone advise me what code will be at the origin of this problem.

    Kind regards

    Ahmed

Hmm... I didn't think you needed web installed app server by the example to work, but maybe you do.  I don't know whether I've installed it on my myRIO.

You can install the application through MAX Web server

(from memory here so some the designation may be slightly off)

    1. Launch of MAX

    2. Find your myRIO under remote systems and expand it (click on the +)

    3. Make a right click software and remove choos

    4. Choose custom installation or recommended software together and then make sure you put a checkmark next to Web application server.

The myRIO will reboot and you should be good to go.

Let us know if that solved the problem.
